The_Blade
gess kagigising ko lang napagod ako sa kapapanood. UFC 117, the best matches so far! 1 cant take a break the whole fights, lahat panalo ang laban! chael got what he said. hole in the face and retire in 5th round, HAHAHA. common denominator with the other losers, so near yet so far, all brawn no brain or brain lost! full of ego and corner mistakes, well in fairness he didnot run away in the 5th round to win the title. ANDERSON is the best and he got many S's. skill, smart and can take the Shots ! super human endurance (broken ribs pa into the fight). SIMPLY the best! cant stop thinking maybe he is juiced! man, di manlang naputukan o nabukulan ang ulo sa dami ng tinangap. he has taken more than ever shots in all his fights including what he has given! siko lang ni jones ang makabasag ng mukha ni anderson.si john jones lang siguro unang makatalo sa kanya. the bone looks like anderson jr in his last fight. (monkey style) Quote Link to comment
geneticfreak
next URCC will be in Cebu daw sabi ni Jed Dario Davao muna. Aug 22nd. 2nd time at Digmaan sa Davao. Last time URCC was in Cebu was during the Sinulog. Tom Woodfin from Deftac Cebu headkicked KO'd Razzi Jbarri in the main event. Quote Link to comment
geneticfreak
Lame...Almieda got knocked, and submitted by hughes! thats one lame loss from a 4x BJJ champion! Yeah and from an unusual position too. The front face lock. Just shows you how strong Matt Hughes can squeeze on your neck. The triangle choke was there all night long for Anderson Silva in the main event. Almost the entire time during the Sonnen GNP he retained wrist control of that arm. What a way and what a time to pull it off though. Quote Link to comment
Olympus
Silva's weaknesses have been exposed... now its up to his next opponenent (Belfort) to capitalize on them Quote Link to comment
anatoly
very disappointing main event. i really thought sonnen had it in the bag, and he may well have won if he didn't become careless. it was quite apparent that silva was just waiting for the opening. dammit 4 rounds of domination and he just had to fall short. so close yet so far. it was too good to be true. sonnen whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???? then again 8 of sonnen's 11 losses have all come by way of submission, so why am i even surprised he got submitted alves didn't look like the alves that fought GSP or koscheck. cage rust could possibly have been an issue and most likely the gigantic amount of weight he had to cut as well. it's also interesting to note koscheck could not take down alves but fitch took him down almost at will and kos is the better wrestler. meh i guess i'd prefer to watch GSP vs Fitch 2 rather than GSP against alves again. let's see how much fitch has improved. his boxing definitely looked more crisp against alves, but i'm more interested to see how he deals with GSP's wrestling more than anything else. was happy to see matt hughes win the way he did. he's got to be one of the most boring fighters out there, especially with his lame boxing skills. so to see him get a stoppage is always a bonus. i thought it was amusing how the submission expert got submitted. yeah yeah i know he got rocked by the left hook but still man can roy nelson take a punch! good thing dos santos did not gas in the 1st after the barrage of punches he unleashed. it may have been an entirely different story if he did gas but credit roy nelson for being one tough sob. looks like cain is next in line for a title shot. good card but the main event really ruined it for me Quote Link to comment

Yeah and from an unusual position too. The front face lock. Just shows you how strong Matt Hughes can squeeze on your neck.yep, just look at those Matt Hughes arms, tulog si Big Dog hindi man lang nakapag tap Quote Link to comment
StaticJess
Sonnen kinda reminds me of the old school fighters a little bit. Like Tito Ortiz or Ken Shamrock. His wrestling game is really tough to beat. Too bad he got caught by the triangle. I think a rematch should be made. Also....Chael's interviews cracks me up. The guy is like a stand up comedian. señor_bugoy
too bad kinapos si sonnen... silva didn't expect to be outclassed, sayang kinapos sa dulo! Quote Link to comment
maddromeo
Sonnen backed up all the trash he talked about A. Silva! Too bad he fell short in the last round! At least di nakapagyabang si Silva inside the cage like his previous fights! Sonnen brought the fight to him thru out the whole fight! Kudos to Sonnen, hope he humbles the Spider with this performance! Now its up to Vitor Belfort to take the belt from A. Silva!!! Alves better move up a weight class, hecant make welterweight anymore! Too bad Almedai got choked out by Hughes! Nelson with good heart and determination for taking 3 rounds of beating from Cigano! Poor Dos Anjos, broken kaw!? Quote Link to comment

The_Blade
it is not just a simple triangle choke, it is the submission of the century. armbar, kneebar, heel lock and choke all in one! nobody asked chael, which part he tapped out. but looks like the arm bar. dongt
i think its amazing how silva avoided being cut from the beatdown he got from sonnen.silva even cut sonnen from elbows he threw from the bottom. i dont know if sonnen have pillow-fists or silva just have an iron-chin. sonnen really wanted to finish silva andif he could have just laid there in the fifth, doing just enough not to be stood up andavoided being submitted he would have been the new champion. with the trash talking he did pre-fight, he really did want to make a statement. i dont know if its just me who noticed it but i find it funny to see silva pretending to be really hurt after the fighteven holding his ribs as if groping in pain then looking at the camera. afterwhich giving an excuse of a rib injury in the post fight interview for not performing really well. riceb0i
ive always found silva fights boring but he came up with something out of the blue and got the win. panic button pressed at the right time. i'm amazed at someone saying Anderson Silva isn't an exciting fighter... check out his fights before he fought for the UFC, one good example is the Tony Fryklund elbow upercut finish in cagerage man and of course that flying knee VS Carlos Newton in PRIDEmaybe you mean he hasn't been exciting as of late? i'm not Anderson silva's biggest fan bro, but he does have exciting fights man Quote Link to comment
