It is unfortunate that the election is now fought on low level issues. Leni supporters make believe they are creating the president who is currently poor.   Do they think she will remain forever poor? Or that they stand to make her wealthy soon by corruption? This is recipe for disaster where there is no experience on protecting the wealth or weal of the nation.  Do they want government to treat resources and capital as if it was no object and unaccounted for? This happened already where roads in Metro Manila deteriorated.  Power supply was not lacking but bureaucrats thought they can escape paying for preventive maintenance costs and risked prolonged blackout instead.  People got to migrate in order to escape the mismanagement.  Better vote for people who THINK rich since they would know better how to manage resources.  What people need today is to how to add value to existing resources instead. 

 

People who support Leni now may find out too late that there is only limited room for unsolicited advice and that they will have to swallow their opinions instead.  When crisis comes one after another, voices will drown her decision making.  I would not be surprised that the loudest of her supporters  may soon be silenced. Her presidency will be a contest of personalities and she will simply work like a queen of sorts and listen only to people she likes. Pressure will make her turn against her closest ally and confidants. I mean did that not happen too?  We fail to learn the lessons of history and make believe too much. 

 

The street crowd is not the will of God. Remember that it was the faceless crowd who crucified Christ.   The best would be to provide JUSTICE for her husband instead.  That way we all know who are we dealing with and no one gets away with murder if there had been one too many.
