Well anyone can doubt anyone's choice at this point. All I'm saying is that they have equal chance. After all, they're just one playmaker away from making things interesting against the Warriors last season. And they now have it in the person of Ty Lawson. Add to that the fact that Patrick Beverley's 100% healthy this year and you have two starter-level point guards (if not All-Stars). That will significantly help Harden in the end because he now have players who can take care of playmaking duties whenever he needs to rest from it because I'm pretty sure The Beard will still dominate the ball even with Lawson around.

My serious pick to come out of the West will be the Warriors though. Let's see if anyone's defense is strong enough right now to stop the Splash Brothers or if any team out there can really challenge the Warriors' excellent defense.

i think the Spurs were able to beat GSW last year during their head to head match up (2-1). i think Kawhi and Danny can match up/defend Steph and Klay. Pero syempre iba na ngayon at may championship na ang GSW. they have that pride to defend the throne. syempre andun din yung pride ng Spurs to reclaim the championship and get that 6th ring for TD

another West team that i think can go toe-to-toe with GSW is OKC. if Durant and Westbrook stays healthy, then you cant stop these 2 as well (kahit anong depensa pa itapat mo).

kahit ano mangyari, it is going to be a fun season!

Yup. Those questions will surely make this an exciting season!

sana lang nde malala yung shoulder injury nya dun sa last pre-season game with GSW

i don' think kobe will last the season without getting a major injury and sideline him for the rest of the season. im not questioning his desire, motivation or will to always come and play and give 100%.it's his body i'm more concerned about. at 37 years old coming off major surgeries to his achilles, his knee cap, a torn rotator cuff.

and now each time he gets nicked, a bruise here, a bruise there. everyone gets real concerned and looks at it like a microscope.

all of these injuries piling up means his body is done. kind of like what happened to barkley in houston, or shaq in cleveland and boston. i remember shaq in his last year in boston he was just running up the floor, and suddenly he pulls a hamstring and his season is done. just from running.

i sure hope that doesn't happen to kobe but everything that ive seen and know up to this point tells me that his body will fail him this season. and he just might decide to hang it up.

3 Generations of Lakers here (Grandad to me ROFL), from Jerry West to Magic to ShaqKobe upto now. 2016 Leggo

now you i consider real fan, you support your team even through the bad years. i for one have been a knick fan since i can remember. the patrick ewing era to the ridiculous eddy curry stephon marbury years up to the current melo phil jackson era. i would like for them to get back to being relevant again like when they reached the nba finals against the spurs. even though they were written off being the 8th seed that year. i love their heart and hustle.

i don't particularly like front-runner bandwagon fans who support teams only when they win. when the team they support starts to lose, they leave them and root for the winning team. those are like fake fans to me.

win or lose i will always go for the knicks.

^ Speaking of fans. I don't know if I'm a fake fan by your definition. :)

I'm a player fan. Why? Maybe because I don't live in the US and it's hard for me to identify with a city. I can be a loyal player fan though. When I started watching the NBA, I followed the career of Magic Johnson. I only cheered for the Lakers then. When he retired, I became a Utah Jazz fan because of John Stockton. Even before John Stockton retired, I was a double-faced fan already because of this flashy point guard named Jason Kidd - I became a Mavs/Jazz fan.

Magic and Stock - I became their fan in the peak of their careers. I started watching the NBA at around 1988. The year I got really hooked to basketball when Purefoods entered the PBA.

Magic Johnson's my favorite player of all time but Jason Kidd was the first player I idolized right from his rookie year. So I became a Mavs fan, then a Suns fan, a huge New Jersey Nets fan, and then back to being a Mavs fan.

2011 - I was on top of the world because it is the first and only time ever in my life as an NBA fan that my favorite player (and his team) won the title. Then Mark Cuban decided to break the championship team core.

Then I became a Knicks fan for a season. Although I'm still part-Mavs fan because they won my heart when they won the title. Specially because of Dirk.

Now - I'm a Dallas fan. I feel that I finally have a home team. But I'm also a Bucks fan because Kidd's the coach there. So there. I'm a Bucks and a Mavs fan today. ^_^

there's no problem with being a fan of a player. i have a problem with people who root for the team only when they win. that's fake to me. if they are losing, do stop cheering for them.

that's definite a front-runner bandwagon fan to me.

besides you already said your a dallas fan. so im guessing you would cheer for the mavs every time they play

ill give you an example. the miami heat. people jumped on the bandwagon when they learned that lebron left cleveland to sign for them. i feel bad for the cavs fans. can't blame them for burning lebron's jersey when he left.

fast forward to the present. where are those so -called heat fans now, i don't hear a damn peep from them because they aren't winning. oh wait. they probably jumped the bandwagon again to cleveland because lebron is in cleveland.

those are the kind of wannabe fans that irritate the heck out of me.

im a player fan too, i like MJ and root for him whenever he plays except when its against the knicks. i had to endure those isiah thomas years with marbury and those losing seasons. but i stand by the team no matter what. even if realistically i don't see them competing for the championship any time soon. i will cheer for them.

i like using the term bandwagon fans than fair weather. i don't even consider these true fans. they're like wannabe" jump on the bandwagon and who's the current champion" type of people and go cheer for the team like they've been long time fans. it's annoying. i'm betting that the majority of the so-called Heat fans when they were winning are on the bandwagon of the warriors since they are the champs right now.

anyway going back to this upcoming season.

i think it will be a spurs-warriors/thunder west final and for the east i think it will be a cavs-heat/bulls east final.

A lot of people said that the Cavs will win it all. However, I think that the Spurs will kick the asses of Lechoke James and his minions.

Maraming fair-weather fans dito. But speaking of teams, I will always go for the team I have rooted for since I was a kid: the 17-time champions, Boston Celtics.

If it was between the Cavs and the Spurs. On paper the Spurs have a better team and they improved their bench depth which would help Duncan, Ginobili and Parker fresh for the playoffs. But the Cavs have a very talented team too. Not to mention they have the Best Player on the planet in Lebron. People can criticize Lebron but i admit he is the best player on the planet right now. Only KD is the other player knocking on that door that i see that can dethrone Lebron as the best player but until KD wins a championship Lebron is still the best. The cavs might start a little slow because they won't get Kyrie back until January or early Feb at least. but with the emergence of Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love back. they will do fine. plus they're in the weaker eastern conference so they will be the favorites to get back in the finals

Your team the Celtics are on the right track. I read that Ainge was able to get a lot of future draft picks 1st and 2nd rounders not to mention a young core. Between them and the Lakers I like the direction the Celtics are going. They might be able to get a lot of players for those draft picks or use those draft picks to get future stars from college

wala atang nasagot as to why GSW isn't really penned to repeat. Well, for one, mahirap mag-repeat. Lalo na sa West. Second, swerte sila kasi wala silang injuries last year as compared to other teams (the Spurs, in particular, didn't have a healthy Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard). I'm a Suns fan kaya lang f'd up na dahil sa paghahabol nila kay Lamarcus (I could even go further by saying that the Isaiah Thomas signing messed it up, no thanks to the Eric Bledsoe situation). OKC wouldn't reach it 'cause Billy Donovan hasn't handled this type of pressure. San Antonio would have a problem with Aldridge. I'd like to say the Clips and the Rockets but they're really untested. so GSW out West but they wouldn't repeat.

to Phoenix's credit they were able to sign Tyson Chandler. a pretty solid interior defender which will help the young guys too serving as a mentor in the locker room.

he was pretty disappointed with Dallas because they were putting his contract on on hold because they were focused on signing Deandre Jordan, but when Deandre flipped on them for the Clippers, Dallas was scrambling to get Tyson a deal but it was too late because Phoenix gave him a nice contract.
