a. name ng sis mo ung nasa receipt ng funeraria and ur the duly authorized person to file/claim it....

the reason why the sss officer ask for the original passport ng sis mo is for authentication purpose...

ala k b ibang IDs ng sis mo n hawak mo??? kc if the you submitted a supporting document/ID together with the authorization.... kailangan din nmin ung original copy mo para icertify ng receivin officer ung photocopy.... kung hindi mo maiprovide yun, hindi authenticated ung photocopy mo...

b. ur sis is the actual claimant, authorized k lang to file and receive/claim the check... still, ang check is named after ur sister, hindi puede s iyo...

c. filing of death claim comes right after you finished the funeral claim.... icomply mo muna ung requirements needed by the processor for the funeral claim...

hmmmm.... the problem seems to be in ur previous employer....

if they (ur previous employer) can give u a copy of the R3 (Monthly Contribution Collection Lists)... oks n kung photocopy lang.... you can personally submit it to SSS Makati 2 (j p rizal) for posting...

pero they claim it that it is already done (updated)... paki verify mo n lang s MAkati 2 if they really filed the said R3....

online inquiry, (internet) and the one used in the SSS office, are synchronized....

meaning kung ano ung verification s SSS office, you can also see it thru the internet...

the posting of the encoded contributions are sometimes delayed.... follow up lang ung needed to expedite it....

yung mom ko po kasi 60yrs old na, last March 18. sa japan sya ngayon nag-wowork since '96 or '97, yung record nya sa sss iba yung name, ksi nung nag-apply sya for abroad nalaman nya na hindi pala yung ginagamit nya na name ang nakarehistro sa original BC nya, kaya iba yung name nya sa sss, (juanita ang nasa sss pero ang real name pala nya is juana).

 

meron sya utang na calamity loan yata, mga early or mid '90 na hindi nya nabayaran pero yung monthly contribution nya sa sss ay lampas 20yrs na yata.

 

yung address nya sa sss ay yung lumang address namin dati sa Pagsanjan, Laguna. Dito na kami nakatira ngayon sa Novaliches last 2002 pa.

 

ano po kaya mga dapat gawin para maisa-ayos yung record nya at gusto nya malaman kung makakakuha na sya ng pension?

affidavit of name discrepancy ung need mo... support mo ng mga valid IDs nya, using JUANA and JUANITA... and since i nman ung mgfile ng retirement nya.... ur mader must give u an SPA duly authenticated/certified by the embassy/consulate of Japan....

u must have at least one month contribution to qualify for an ID....

mukhang ala pa hulog ung account, so therefore, hindi k nila binigyan...

pano kaya ang gagawin ko, may pera pa po naiwan sa banko ang dad ko nung namatay siya, nag punta kami ng mom ko sa sss pasig branch para mag claim ng death benefit at para nga sabihin na may pera pa sa bank. ang sabi nila punta raw kami dun sa sss kung san kami nag claim ng funeral at dapat daw binigyan kami ng sulat para ibigay sa bank to withdraw the money. so nag punta ako sa sss frisco, ang sabi nagbibigay lang sila nung sulat pag patay na raw ang wife, ang gawin daw namin ay kami raw ang gumawa ng sulat para papirmahan sa sss bago ibigay sa banko.

ang sabi naman sa akin sa sss head office na sss daw ay mgbibigay ng sulat sa bank para ibalik sa sss ang pera at sss na ang bahalang mag balik sa mother ko sa unang hulog ng pension.

 

eh ano ba talaga ang tama? hindi ba parepareho ang regulation ng mga sss branches pagdating jan sa ganyang isyu?

it's quite complicated....

tanong muna ako, anong previous claim ng fader mo?? disability or retirement? kelancya nmatay?? on that time ba, e meron pang hindi pa nawithraw n pension??

my suggestion is... ayusin nyo muna ung death claim nya then after nun madali ng maayos ung unclaimed benefits ng fader mo....

puede po!!! basta approved ung claim nya... thru ATM nman nya mareciv ung pension....

so it's virtually anywhere in the world that she can claim her monthly pension....

usually business permits ung require for the said application...

pero sa cases ng mga expanded members (balut vendors, cigarette vendors... etc)

hindi n cla hinahanap ng documents....

puede mo ideclare n nsa expanded category ka....

meaning indefinite ung earnings mo, puede k mag start s minimum monthly contribution of P94.00, which falls in P1000 salary bracket....

Alam ko, kung ang loan mo ay nakuha mo about over 2 years ago at bayaran mo ngayon ang loan balance mo, pwede kang umutang ulit. Kailangan kasi na matapos mo yung 2-year repayment period na sinasabi nila.

 

Ang alam ko rin, meron din silang condonation program para mawaive yung penalty na naipon kung hindi ka talaga nakakabayad since 5 years ago. Ang condition dito kung iavail mo yung condonation program ay hindi ka makakautang sa sss sa loob ng dalawang taon upon settlement ng loan mo.

to qualify for a retirement, a member must have a least 120 monthly contributions.... about 10 years of continuous remittances....

now, if you want to avail the highest possible pension benefit, you must exceed the average no. of qualified contributions and you must also have the maximum monthly premiums...

as of now, ung nakita ko pa lang na highest pensioner, na meron almost 10k of monthly contributions has almost 30 years or about 360 contributions, and has the maximum salary bracket for the last five years of his contributions....

the more you contribute, the higher the benefits....

2. you still have go to the SSS office personally... magdala ka na rin ng affidavit of loss and P150.00 fee for the replacement ID.

3. pagnareceive ang application sa SSS, one day ang processing... tumatagal lng yan kc thru employer pa idaan and the time of pick up nila unc cheke... usually two weeks yan...

@Izzecoh: Confirm ko lang sa inyo kung accurate nga ang policy na to: Pag kuha mo ng SSS loan check, you can cash it any PNB branch di po ba?

 

Kasi ganito nangyari sa akin, I went to the Felix Ave (near Sta Lucia Mall) branch of PNB. The teller there told me I couldn't cash the check there as it should be picked up at either the same city where my company is based or where I reside (ang labo nga e, I don't know which of the two talaga ang dapat sundin according to her). According to her, there were specific PNB branches who had jurisdiction over cashing SSS checks. I told her that I had already encashed an SSS check at their branch before and the check clearly states it can be encashed at any SSS branch. She had me talk to a Supervisor or Manager ata who then allowed me to cash the check there. But the teller still charged me 50 pesos for encashing the check at their branch.

 

Are you aware of this practice/policy? If so, SSS should better inform their members so as to avoid misleading people and not waste people's precious time.
