whatever call center you pick, they'll all have their good and bad sides. the initial rule to remember is never to believe everything the recruiter tells you. if it ain't in the contract then you're bound to be shafted by their promises.

that's how i got stung by converygys. they promised me very fixed time shifts and guess what? i never even came close to those shifts so i resigned - i came to regret that decision later. i only came to appreciate the benefits and work environment after i left the company.

now if you're thinking of starting and you're not confident of your english, west is a good place to start with. their english requirement is not as stringent as others, sad but true, so you can get your feet wet here. they also offer fixed scheds which you can pick from a list they give you and that'll be you sched for the long haul. pay and benefits do suck so don't expect much. of course what can you expect from a company who's english threshold is low enough that my daughter can pass it without breaking her stride - she's just 6 btw. just be ready for highly incompetent sups and anal retentive metrics. they really rag you posterior regarding call time.

for newbies, you can either go the big time to get the major benefits or the small time so you can appreciate the move up the call center ladder. my only advice, never work for clientlogic. they are the bottomfeeders in terms of benefits and mobility. everyone i know from their curse their time in hell.

Nice, honest post dude. I admire your audacity in discussing the cons of working for some very specific call centers. I think we should have more posts like this. We should discuss what to expect from certain call centers both the pro's and con's so that both newbies and veterans to the call center game could be better advised before signing a contract. I agree that all call centers have their good and bad sides. I guess there isn't a perfect call center company otherwise there would be no attrition and other issues in that company.

Its a fast and easy job for someone who can draw using freehand. I need to modify a pic that I took in a car show abroad. Basically anyone with free hand skills just needs to give me the artowrk in black and white. bond paper and tech pen lang so I can scan and color it.
