batib0t
as much as i want the celtics to advance in the eastern conference semis, it's going to hard for them because of their depleted bench and it also doesn't help that melo is in a scoring frenzy Quote Link to comment
fatchubs
Interesting facts ... both Lee and Terry who were signed to replace Ray Allen were not able to deliver in the 1st game against the Knicks. Na miss kaya ng Celtics si Ray ngayon Despite being "undersized" the Knicks got away with 10 offensive rebound ... anong nangyari? 4 Quote Link to comment

alberto_
Siyempre andun un usual contribution ng 6th man of the year na si Smith. While Boston was able to limit the Knicks to below 90 pts hindi naman sila makaiskor nun 4th quarter. I don't see the Celtics winning their series against the Knicks. i know someone who thinks the C's could be in the NBA Finals if it becomes a reality, well and good. Otherwise, hindi masamang mangarap at umasa Edited April 24, 2013 by fatchubs 3 Quote Link to comment
fatchubs
Talo ulit sa game 2 vs Knicks. Natambakan nun 3rd quarter.Nawala din un production ni Green ... lulubog lilitaw talaga itong taong ito Edited April 24, 2013 by fatchubs 2 Quote Link to comment
alberto_
fatchubs
Doc Rivers confirms that Lee whom the Celtics has signed during the summer to replace Ray Allen has now fallen off his rotation Jason Terry, another one of the guys signed to add depth to the SG position has not so far produce a big game for the C's in this series. Am sure a lot of Celtics fans are hoping to see a repeat of the type of his performance when Dallas won its championship Ray Allen on the other hand already got two 20 pt games for Miami out of the 3 games played in the first round. Moreso, on the night when Wade had an off night (1 of 12 fg), Allen was there to step-up scoring 23 pts. While Terry's averages this season compares to that of Allen, Allen IMHO is more valuable. I am not surprise why KG was "mad" on Allen for leaving Pinersonal nga yata e ... and I am non wondering why. Allen is so far averaging around 16 ppg in the playoffs vs Terry's 4.5 ppg. That's quite a big disparity. It's time for Terry to wake up and help this team 1 Quote Link to comment

friendly0603
I actually don't like ray joining miami as it shows him as a ring chaser and helping your opponent win another ring. It's boston's fault for using him as trade bait. Quote Link to comment

Actually we all know that the NBA is "business" ... Usually players try to get the best deal out there for them (either monetary or a chance to win a ring). The ball clubs treats them as commodities that is why they can trade the players. In the case of Ray, I would think he got offended when the C's try to trade him thus he really wasn't interested to return (since the C's could eventually try and trade him again). Signing with the Heat I believe was the best scenario for him in terms of money and the chance to win another ring. If ever that happens he will be one up vs the original remaining big 3 of the C's 1 Quote Link to comment
friendly0603
He was offered a no trade clause & more money. The C's just pissed him off. But it would've been better to be a starter in another contender instead of just making Miami a lot better. Nash isn't a backup. Ray can get more rings but not a member of the big 3. He's too good to be in just a supporting role. Quote Link to comment

Yes, I now remember that there was a no trade clause ... yup he was really pissed and despite all the sweeteners in the offer still decided to leave the C's. Oh and I remember one issue that pissed him as well was being relegated as a reserve. Considering that Rivers had Allen coming off the bench late last year (specifically during the playoffs) it's not a guarantee that he'll start for the C's if he signs. Unless that is part of the agreement which I am not aware of, I think he'll be competing with Bradley for the starting job. But it seems IMHO, Doc's mindset is to play Bradley as a starter because of his D and have RA coming off the bench for his scoring. Well personally I don't think it matters with RA for not being part of Miami's big 3 ... the important thing is that he will be considered as an integral part in this championship run. In other words, he may not start for the Heat but is their most productive player off the bench. And so far in their current series, Ray has been that for the Heat something that the C's miss in the Jet. In fact Lee another SG signed last summer to replace RA is now out of Doc's rotation.
