Tried to buy prepaid Smart micro SIM for my iPad, which is supposed to be available already but was told by the retailer it is only available for postpaid. Can anyone confirm this? TIA

Thanks for the info. I ended up buying a prepaid SIM and cutting it down to size. Okay naman. The problem is that it turns out the iPad has a problem with its WiFi. The instance I use 3G to surf, the next time I try to use WiFi, the iPad can no longer connect to the network. It sees it but somehow does not connect. I need to reset every time to enable WiFi. Bummer.

Better features and less expensive. May warranty din ito like Ipad...

Unlike Samsung Galaxy Tab, Apple Ipad is not a phone, it is more of a enlarge ipod touch.

Ginagamit ko itong iPad ko for phone calls and texts. All for free. VOIP I guess. Dito nga lang sa US. It will work for WiFi only and 3G.

ipad - less bulk

small laptop - bulky, but it come with the convenience of a real keyboard, and the ability to play flash video.

 

There are lots of ipad wannabes which can play flash videos.

ipad - needs computer to load files. (unless you buy or rent in iTUNES)

Can you let me know how to make phone calls through the IPAD. Do you need to get into a skype type of a service and then the headset bit? Would be neat if they can work like iphone with a bluetooth.

skype is a good app to make calls

I use my iPHONE headphones with skype
