Medyo maliit ang chance nito boss. 8 groups, 4 teams each group yata yung format. For sure hiwa-hiwalay nilang ilalagay sa groups yung mga asian teams. :) Bibihira yung mga asian teams na lumulusot sa 2nd round (except Australia and New Zealand).

 

Bawiin ko yung sinabi ko. May chance pala na maka-group natin ang China. kasama sila sa top 8 seeds teams na maglelead per group.

 

China - Host

USA

Spain

France

Serbia

Argentina

Lithuania

Greece

 

Grabe wala pa yung Australia, Brazil, Canada, etc.. dyan. Sana maka-group natin yung hindi nalalayo yung ranking satin para may chance na makapasok sa 2nd round.

Marami nagsasabi na si Romeo dapat nasa line up, pero base sa discipline na pinapakita niya in and out the court I dont think he can be beneficial lalo na sa defense.

Lalo na kapag pwede na isali si Clarkson at Remy Martin na kasabay ni Blatche.

I'll stick w/ Coach Yeng all-the-way to the FIBA World Cup in China.

 

Pinaghirapan nila ito and para di masira ang diskarte and chemistry ng team (although gusto ko rin makapaglaro si Cavs JC).

 

Pero, no matter the result of the World Cup, back to the drawing board, let's put Tab Baldwin at the helm for the next one (World Cup).

Sana maging motivation nila yung "Almost" win ng Gilas vs Argentina, and yung Nigeria (not sure what Africas' team) win from last World Cup Stint in Spain.

 

Angola - High winning chance for Gilas

Serbia - hopefully

Italy - sure top 2 (if bellinelli and bargnani is in the team)

Saklap nga eh. Sana makonsider ng FIBA at NBA para may laban naman kahit papano. Maaga naman makakapagpahinga ang Cleveland dahil out na sila sa playoff at sakto off season na rin yun ng NBA. Alam naman nila na ang Pilipinas ay isang baaketball nation.

Kahit po ata out yung Cavs sa playoffs di pa din siya makakapaglaro unless payagan siya. Under contract pa din po kasi si Clarkson kahit offseason.

Angola is not exactly a pushover. It has dominated most FIBA-Africa tournaments in the last two decades, As for Italy, it is also a tough cookie, especially, if Gallinari, Bargnani and Bellinelli are included. Serbia may tap the Joker, Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets; Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Kings and one-time Clipper point guard and Serbian national team mainstay, Milos Teodosic. Nothing is gonna be easy in the World Cup. Hopefully, Jordan Clarkson will be included in the Gilas line-up.

Our first game will be against the Italians, followed by Serbia and then Angola. As Yeng Guiao said, there won't be any warm-up games. This is the real deal. I think we have a shot against Italia but we have to bring our A-game in order to beat these guys. Next will be the Joker and Serbia. I hope Blatche can be Batman to neutralize the Joker. :lol:

 

Angola is not to be taken lightly as it has been the most dominant African team in the past two decades.

 

Among the Asian teams, China has the easiest draw on paper. Lutong Macau nga naman.

 

Noticeably, the Philippines is ranked above Korea while China is a notch above us. Only Iran and China are ranked above us. This means we are improving as a basketball nation. Yes, basketball is a big man's game but as long as we have the right players and the right coach, we can climb through the rankings and eventually spring some surprises. The coming of Kai Sotto, AJ Edu, Kobe Paras, and Ricci Rivero bodes well for Philippine basketball. These young guns have the height and athleticism to make us climb in the world rankings and become world beaters. Yeng should scout the Italians, Serbians and Angolans as early as now.
