Mma Vs Boxing

I think in a way MMA has taken over boxings market. Neither sport will ever go away, but as a whole i think MMA has the larger fanbase. People really follow the sport. As for boxing, most fans follow 1 or 2 of their favorite fighters. What makes MMA stand out as a sport is that it is continually evolving. The fighters, disciplines, techniques, etc.

Hmmm I dont know man, somehow Floyd is right by saying boxing is really for everybody, because lets face it, MMA is a more violent sport. Moreover, mas malaki laki pa din revenue ng major boxing events kesa sa UFC.

I am a huge mma fan, but I don't think it will ever take over boxing. Mma is mainly followed by the 18-25 yr old demographic, whereas boxing is watched mostly by 25+ yr old people. I can't cite my source cause I read it a year ago. And no, as much as I wanna think mma has a bigger fanbase, it does not. Mma is too young, let's give it a few more years.

I watch boxing but only those worth watching, in short i always skip undercards. With mma its different, i watch all undercards.

In retrospect i think this is what i meant when i said MMA has the bigger fan base. Not from a numbers stand point, but more of a true fan of the sport. Lets face it more peoplw will watch boxing, but only when its worth watching. MMA fan watch all fighters. I mean, even when watching a prize fight on tv you can see no one is at the arena watching the undercards. Most of the seats are empty up until the main event. People are they really just to see 1 fight. So the fan base is very different.

MMA. coz you get to learn fighting moves thru watching just in case you face similar situations.

uhm no

if you want to learn go train

you can't learn by watching, that kind of thinking will only get you beat up.

watching a fight on TV is very very different from being in an actual fight.
