Job - Salary, Bonuses, & Perks

Recommended Posts

I'm a Nursing Student but have a part time job (I'm in Retail - AKA Saleslady).

I work 20 hours per week. So 80 hours per month.

I earn approximately 50,000 pesos per month.

I get no benefits, I just get paid by the hour.

Ma'am baka naman pwedeng maki sideline sayo dyan sa part time mo :D Basta wag lang networking ha :D I have a dayjob also and I am holding a management position... Pero siyempre baka may iba pang source of income so grab :boo: di ba??? :mtc:

Oopss..sorry peeps. I forgot to mention I'm in Canada. I'm pretty much one of those saleslady you see in SM (I'm sure you're familiar with those annoying ladies who likes to follow you around) :-) I do a little bit of sales talk, some basic cashiering and etc..:-)

For a part time job; the money's not too bad (peso-wise) and the job quite easy.

business: runs home-based dot com servicing US-based clients; does stockmarket trading on the side

perks: am my own boss; do business on my own time;

income: 1M++ net in FY2004; already exceeded last year's net as of 2nd month of this year, largely due to excellent stock market performance.

lesson1: You don't have to go abroad or work for others to make it. Nobody becomes rich working for others.

lesson2: business is now global; money is now digital; and the Internet is the key.

lesson3: money is just a way of keeping score.

lesson4: financial independence is more important than material wealth.

-- To fellow forumers who emailed/PMed, asking what e-business I run: There is no shortcut to success in e-commerce. You have to know what you love to do and then find a market for it. You have to enjoy doing it. I run my dotcom alone because I prefer working alone and I love what I do. As forum members, you are already a step ahead of the herd because you are Internet savvy. The tool to break the "barriers to entry" is already in your hands, use it. There is a wide market for goods and services out there, search for it.

To those who were asking about stock market trading, I am not a financial adviser/stock broker. I just enjoy stock trading. I look at it not as a source of income but as a game, and money is just a way of keeping score. Stock market is a mind game between buyers and sellers, you have to be prepared for it mentally.

peace MTC people...  :boo:

just wanna start this thread as a reference for other people's job and salary range? what are you company priviledges - bonus plan, perks (car home etc loans), healthcare?

i guess this would be helpful for other MTC people who might want to know what a typical pay / perk for different business industires....

Might also be a good place to find out if its better to start your own business (less the office deadlines, inept bosses, office hassels, etc...) di ba?

hope everyone can share their info about this matter...

:boo:  :boo:

Bros, may maliit lang akong query sa inyo. One of my clients, a Singaporean who owns a software development company dito sa Pinas has requested me to survey the salary rates of software developers (no experience; and may 5 years experience) dito sa Pinas, sa Singapore, sa India at sa Australia. Baka matulungan nyo ako.
