sounds like you're a metallurgical engineer dude! i am one! actually, i have the degree but i don't practice. have never been anywhere near a mine and have spent only three months for practicum in a casting plant.

 

 

actually chipmaker im a mechanical engineer by trade napasok lang ako kasi ang mga furnaces puro machines ang nagpapatakbo. i have no experience in metallurgy pero yun napasukan kaya napagaralan din.

Field: Call Center

Position: Technical Representative

Salary: 12,000 Above/Month

Benefits: Usual stuff, sss, pagibig, etc.

Perks: No traffic since you work like vampires, easy money coz youre not doin anything except answering endless calls, free internet access and other great things.

Downside: Less gimmicks, and it tends to get boring after a couple of months.

hehehe... same here. i know absolutely nothing about semiconductors when i graduated, so when i joined i---l, dun ko natutunan lahat. hanggang ngayon, ito pa rin buhay ko.

hi! im presently working at accenture and yah i agree with you ramonalito. its not that im an employee of the said company that's why im saying this. it is really based on my personal experience. ive worked with robinsons before and i can say that i found satisfaction with accenture.

 

hey my cousin works there too. not sure kung what department lang nga.

i believe we should keep this thread as informational as we can. everybody's leaving out the vital figures. with this thread we can come up with an assessment of the present salary range of us yuppies and somehow get an idea of the overall economic weather over us young professionals.

 

civil engineer

"AAA" construction firm - gov't infrastructure projects contractor

3.5 years with the company

holds an office position

P10,000.00 (base pay) + P5,500.00 (fixed monthly allowance)

no benefits

no car or housing plans

no bonuses

delayed salary

i get to travel to mindanao on occassions

Company : mine

Salary : some months - none. other months - lots

 

Benefits : i hopefully get to retire in five years

 

Advantages:

1. money is good.

2. work is challenging

3. great job location

 

Disadvantage:

1. none yet.

Retire in 5 years - sweet! What line of biz are you in? I'm also in the great white north.
