after 12 years of great service to Manchester United, Roy Keane & the club have mutually agreed to end his contract..after winning numerous championships for the club, epl, carling cup, fa cup, champions league & the most memorable treble of 1999, Keano has decided to move on..

Thanks for everything Roy..all ManU fans are thankful for your key contribution for the club, we all agree that no one can replace the valuable service you have given for Manchester United..Good luck & God speed to where you'll go, you will always will be a Red to us..

you know i remember reading in manutd.com about what keane said regarding some criticisms that the team needs more players..

he said something to this effect.. "what this team needs is to remove some players.. this team rewards players who dont play well with absurd contracts.. maybe that is what i need to do.. play bad to get rewarded.. " not the exact words though.. :D

obviously, keane is disappointed with several of his teammates particularly rio ferdinand who has not performed upto par with his 120,000 euro/week salary.. and i salute roy keane, he has set an example upto his last days at United.. well done!

opinion ko lang as a die hard ManU fan..mga players na ok para sa kin rooney, ruud, van der Sar,smith, heinze, silvestre, brown, saha, solkjaer,g.neville (defensive rock),giggs&scholes (pero medyo tanda na sila, effective in limited mins, smith should be in schole's role, the midfielder in hole after 2 forwards, not as central midfielder)..

inconsistent si park, ronaldo (kulang sa dpensa) pero feeling ko magppeak pa tong dalwang to & especially inconsistent si ferdinand, dapat ang central defender maaasahan pero may something na kulang sa kanya, parang walang gana maglaro, walang fighting spirit, kelangan ganahan muna, dapat no nonsense defender such as maldini, etc he's more of a passing defender kasi..

for me mga dapat tanggalin o' shea (not creative enough & inconsistent), miller, fletcher,kleberson..

they should buy:

1.)central midfielder (ballack,duscher,zakora,etc.,more names come to mind..basta consistent&magaling siyempre..)

2.)more wingers (both effective in left&right,w/ pace, inventive parang beckham&giggs partnership dati) to bring in quality crosses in the wings, kulang si giggs&ronaldo, si park, smith, scholes more of attacking central midfielder, not like keane)..

*w/ quality midfielders, uulan ng goals si ruud&rooney!! poblema kulang sa service kaya kelangan gumahod sa laro yung dalawa forwards para makagoal..tsk tsk ts..

3.)defenders (kulang si ferdinand,brown,fortune,o'shea,silvestre,heinze,neville..kung may ibebenta/trade,definitely si o'shea, brown or fortune, so far ok nman si heinze, silvestre, ferdinand, neville as back 4,damn those injuries)

at least there's room for improvement this coming january, kung natalo nga nila chelsea w/ injury laden line-up pano pa kaya w/ new transfers & fully fit players..once they get their players healthy, they get rid of the players they don't need & buy quality players, they can challenge for the epl as well as the cl again..

:thumbsdownsmiley:

if they can get gabriel milito somehow, that would definitely solidify their defense.. :thumbsupsmiley:

bwiset tlga ang real madrid!...they keep on buying great midfielders and strikers pero sobra namang olats ng defenders nila...sergio ramos?? what has he done? wala!...they need to get great defenders...tapos ngyn parating na champions league...and theyre against lyon...kpg natalo sila...ewan ko nlng...

but 2 thumbs up for the 2 goals of ronaldhino....astig...both was superb goals taking advantage of the bad defending of real madrid...

nweis for manu naman...si van nistelrooy naman kasi he needs to have a great midfielder for him to score...he cant make a goal with his own skill...puro sya abang..rooney can make it happen...but paminsan off night tlga sya...tapos madali png mabadtrip...christiano ronaldo naman...parang si robinho na puro step overs...paminsan nonsense na...tapos biglang madadapa nlng....

As a Manchester fan, it was hard seeing Keano leave but i think its for the best. Manchester United are still sticking to the old glory days & hoping it comes back but many of the oldies should move on, i mean yes the glory days was the best but we will never replace those players of Beckham, Keane, Giggs etc But start a new generation and play their new way...

Its time for Manchester United to start a new life and start building correctly not just stop gap replacements. I hope Fergie really holds off buying a bunch of players in Jan just for the "numbers game" situation we are in. We need to look into our youths and start playing them, and really dig in until end of season for a big summer signing. Many teams wont give up their big stars just yet as they are competing aswell, by end of season most teams re-structure what they have and sell what they dont want.

Manchester United really need 2 new central mid fielders and 2 new defenders, again its going to be hard getting big name players coz Chelsea are ether knocking on the door to grab those or United just cant compete with bigger dollar signings. Like i have said they should start looking at raising talents like C.Ronaldo and players who arent in their primes and wanting to get a bigger money.

ballack in real?...i dont they need ballack....manu needs ballack more than real...even arsenal....real needs defenders...reliable defenders!!!...adding ballack in real?..not a good idea...all are attacking midfielders....zidane, beckham, baptista, dunno if guti din....gravesen lng ang holding midfielder..oh well...

whos hitzfield btw?...sya daw ang pwedeng pumalit kay luzemburgo if luxemburgo screws up again and again

ballack will have more chances to win european silverware in real madrid than manchester united... and german legend franz beckenbauer fully supports ballack if he makes this move...

but with how bayern is playing at the moment... there is a chance he'll be staying... and i hope he does...

and not end up with a team full of egos like manchester united... i believe what roy keane said... ferguson must sack those players who only play for their own cause...
