FLAIR/CARLITO STORYLINE NEWS

There will be no Ric Flair vs. Carlito match at WrestleMania.

 

When they had the idea of putting the two together, it was for an eventual split and feud, but they wanted a longer playing storyline so the idea was that the split would come after Mania. However, after Flair cut a great promo on Carlito to start the storyline, there was a movement to speed up the angle for Mania. Flair was told by one of the writers that the match for Mania was on. Then two weeks ago, he was told that the match was officially off.

 

Flair & Carlito will probably still involved at WrestleMania, but in a scheduled Tag Team Battle Royal for wrestlers not booked on the card. No word yet if this match will be taking place during the PPV or as a "dark match" to be shown on the WrestleMania DVD. It will likely be the latter scenerio.

 

Flair is said to be extremely disappointed by the news, especially considering that he was planning on making this WrestleMania as the next to last Mania of his career, at least as he stands mentally now.

Actually, steroids will slow down bone and cartilage healing.

 

Too bad for MNM. They were a good team. Guess if Mercury's problem isn't that bad, he might end up in TNA... too bad again. Hope somebody digs up why he was released.

I think that Nitro and Melina will soon split up too. The storyline looks like a growing irritation of Nitro with Melina's antics. Nitro yelled at Melina once and the mixed tag match featuring London, Kendrick and Ashley saw Nitro being tagged by Melina on his back while Nitro's reaction is "What!"

Wrestlemania main event spoiled with local ad? On commercial break as i was watching RAW tonight (6 days before wrestlemania), an ad for Smackdown/ECW wrestlemania revenge coming to my area aired. The May 6th show advertised Basista vs. Mr. Kennedy for the world heavyweight championship. This comes as a huge surprise considering it could potentially spoil TWO wrestlemania matches, the most obvious being the Undertaker vs. Batista title match, as well as the money in the bank match involving Mr. Kennedy (possibly).

 

WWE advertised a house in Poughkeepsie , Ny on May,05 headlined by Batista defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Ken Kennedy as well as Bobby Lashley defending the ECW World Title against Snitsky. Take it for what its worth. (Thanks to BigManRob89@aol.com)

 

That said, I was just watching RAW, and they advertised a house show on the Smackdown/ECW Wrestlemania Revenge tour on May 5th in Poughkipsee New York in which Batista will face Mr. Kennedy for the title, and the Undertaker is advertised only as being "in action" that night. I know the WWE has done stuff like this before and changed their plans in

 

the past, but just figured I'd drop this bit of info your way!

 

 

i hope they dont stick to this crap about the WHC :thumbsdownsmiley: .

 

but kennedy as a winner of the MITB.... thats cool! :cool:

SMACKDOWN SPOILERS FOR 03-30-07

 

i havent read this yet but enjoy guys

 

Smackdown spoilers from Grand Rapids

-The Major Brothers def. Deuce N' Domino

I believe this was the dark match. Both deuce and domino controlled most of

the match, but the majors won witha rollup.

 

Smackdown opens up with edge coming and talking about mitb. He is supposed

to face matt hardy, who comes and interupts him, but edge says he has a

replacement, and Great Khali comes to face matt. He hits the two-hand

chokeslam, and fire comes out of the posts. Kane a ppears in the titatrons,

saying that the time is near, as khali leaves the ring.

 

Teddy L. is showing talking in is office with kirstal. They talk about some

celebretation with champagne and some stuff like that. I really didn't get

the segment well.

 

Finlay def. Mr. Kennedy

Back and forth action from both man. Not much crowd reaction until finlay

distracted the ref. Hornswoggle, came witha small ladder, and did his

version of the kenton bomb on ken, and then finlay hits the celtic cross.

Crowd reacted well to the bastard.

 

MVP def. Uknwon

MVp referred to this guy as the champion of eutopia or soemthing like that.

He looked kinda cannival. and skinny. MVP hits the Playmaker for the win,

and starts saying he will be the next us champion.

 

Jeff Hardy def. Randy Orton

Orton controlled most of the match, and jeff pulled up his signature moves

too. Better than their singles match from raw last week. Edge comes again to

distract orton and jeff pins him with a roll up. Crowd was really into this

match, specially cheering jeff (including me)

 

10-diva tag team match

Ashley,Maria,Candice,Torrie,Mickie def. Melina,Victoria,Jillian, Kristal,

Michelle Mccool.

Typical divas match. The heels worked a lot on mickie, until all the hot

tags for candice, torrie and maria who performed their signature moves.

Aslhley got the final tag and won with a rollup.

 

Cm Punk def. King BOOker.

Crowd was behind booker. I think it was a very good main event. Booker goes

for the scissors kick, but punk moves and wins with a rollup (lost of rollup

victories on this show)

 

JBL came to the ring to do the interview of batista/undertaker. Out of

nowhere STONE COLD's musci hits, and the people go nuts, (including me). He

comes, and gives JBL a stunner, then drinks two beers per corner and gives

jbl another stunner. Awesome segment.

 

Teddy long comes with many security guards to do the interview himself. He

brings both batsra and taker, and both got huge pops. Batista says he

already lost respect to taker, and taker remains silence. they they star

brawling, with the security, and batista gives taker a huge spinebuster, the

leaves, but taker sits up! Very good segment to warm the match for WM23.

 

ECW Notes:

 

On the RVD/Elijah, RVD got a huge pop, specially because he is from west

michigan. Crowd 100% into this match.

 

Balls got a decent pop during the break, but snitsky came and you know the

rest.

 

The 8man match was a good main event. Finlay was busted open, and the harys

on the ladder was a good way to end the show.

 

After ECW is done, kennedy stays in the ring, and justin roberts announces a

tag team match. His partner was MVP. His opponents were JOHN CENA, huge pop.

But no HBK. IT was a handicap match. Cena managed to gain momentum until

both kennedy and porter started the double team attack. HBK comes to the

rescue and starts tunning up the band, he is about to kick cena, but kicks

mvp instead and leaves. Cena pins mvp and both Cena and HBK are announced as

winners. Cena poses for the crowd and leaves. At the end Kennedy and MVP

start brawling for a little. Good shows.
