Terry Funk & Mr. Pogo vs. Hayabusa & Masato Tanaka in a no rope, electrified barbed wire exploding ring match. Hanep! Quote Link to comment
lord_rochester
wrestling... used to watch it because of bret hart. after wala na. got busy na. Quote Link to comment
alpha_male
i guess kung nasanay ka sa old school wrestling mawawalan ka talaga ng gana with the kind of wrestling nowadays in the WWE where the emphasis is more on the "entertainment" side. i do miss the 60-minute matches of Flair, Hart & HBK. i really wish there would be another upcoming fed that would provide an alternative to wrestling. TNA is a good start but ECW was way better. too bad, the latter folded up. Quote Link to comment

magnificent
Just watched the old late 1980s wrestling matches of the WWF, NWA (WCW). Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (challenger) vs Nature Boy Ric Flair (champion) Feb 1989 Chicago. winner: Steamboat - new champ. Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (champion) vs Nature Boy Ric Flair (challenger) April 1989 Louisiana. 2 out of 3 falls match. winner: Steamboat. Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (champion) vs Nature Boy Ric Flair (challenger) May 1989 Tennessee. winner: Flair - new champ. All three matches were the main event of each show. The 1st and last were Pay Per Views. They matched each other moved for move. THe 2nd and 3rd were 60 minute classics. Match 3 was the Wrestling Match of the year for Pro Wrestling Illustrated for 1989. All three matches were in the top 4 matches of the year. This is inclusive of all WWF matches and NWA matches as well. It shows that they bring the best out of each other. Brings goose bumps every time I see it man. Flair comes out with an entourage of 40 women. Hot women of all kinds. Blondes, brunettes, we like 'em tall, we like 'em small, we like 'em all. To Be The Man You've Got To Beat The Man...WOOOOOO!!!!
