Cradle of Filth
With a week past since SummerSlam, there was a lot of talk regarding the Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels match at the event in Washington, DC. According to reports, Vince McMahon made a very firm decision to have Hogan go over with the legdrop against Michaels and Michaels didn't put up a fight regarding that finish. Many feel that by Michaels not arguing the finish, it was going to give him the ability to have a forum the following night on RAW to say what he wanted about about the situation. Coincidentally, Michaels ended up doing just that on RAW in a rather sarcastic way. Even though Michaels didn't argue the finish with Vince McMahon, those close to Michaels have stated that he didn't return phone calls after SummerSlam right away and that led many to believing he was more upset and frustrated as a whole about the situation with Hogan and his inability to "pull enough strings" like Hogan backstage. Some have also came to the conclusion that Michaels could have sabotaged the match if he wanted to by not selling anything for Hogan, but given that he is a devout Christian now many felt he was doing as much as possible to not let the "old Shawn Michaels" come out. According to one WWE source regarding the Hogan vs. Michaels match, "Michaels stole the show and made Hogan look better than he is. The finish was fine. Michaels gained great respect with his efforts." Many feel Michaels was able to get back some edge despite the loss to Hogan the night after SummerSlam on RAW with some of his snide comments towards Hogan. From what is understood, there are no plans for Hogan to return for another match in the immediate future. Many feel it is only a matter of time until he returns, with one WWE source stating that Hogan might have agreed to do a job at WrestleMania 22 if he was to get the win over Michaels at SummerSlam. Who Hogan's opponent would be at WrestleMania next year is still up in the air, as John Cena and even Stone Cold Steve Austin have been rumored as possible candidates. Quote Link to comment

PrettyboyPOPOY
‘Undertaker’ leads Manny entourage ‘Undertaker’ leads Manny entourageBy Abac CorderoThe Philippine Star 08/31/2005 Don’t be surprised if you’d see "The Undertaker," one of the world’s biggest names in professional wrestling, alongside Manny Pacquiao at the Staples Center on Sept. 10. The wrestler with the eerie and disturbing presence on the ring has reportedly agreed to make a special appearance when Pacquiao fights Mexico’s Hector Velasquez. A certified 300-pounder known for his "choke slam and tombstone" moves, "The Undertaker" will lead Pacquiao out of his dressing room carrying the American flag. Pacquiao and his entourage, according to initial plans, won’t be too far behind "The Undertaker," known in the real word as Mark Calloway, as they head to the ring. Team Pacquiao has yet to announce who will carry the Philippine flag although for a moment, at least, eyes will surely be glued on the wrestler who’s gone undefeated in 13 "WrestleManias." Pacquiao has logged in 61 rounds of sparring and, despite some words of caution from friends back home, is reportedly planning to spar as many as a hundred rounds. According to those near him, Pacquiao is taking the 12-round, non-title fight set at the Staples Center as seriously as his classic battle with Erik Morales in Las Vegas last March. Apparently, Pacquiao is pushing himself to the limit, on the road and in the gym, prompting his handlers to tell the Gen. Santos City native to "take it easy." Even Atty. Rudy Salud, a boxing expert, told The STAR the other day that Pacquiao can’t afford to suffer from "burnout" in his bid to fall in tip-top shape for the coming fight. He’s been training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood since Aug. 8, alternating road work with gym work under American champion trainer Freddie Roach and ex-heavyweight Justin Fortune. Pacquiao has reserved Aug. 31 (Wednesday in Manila) for his "media workout" and is planning to hold his final sparring session on Sept. 5 or five days before the fight. Morales will also fight on the eve of the infamous "9/11 Attack" and, if plans push through, should be in for a great rematch with Pacquiao probably early next year. A US-based Filipino said this early, billboards are already up at the Staples Center in announcing the fight dubbed "Double Trouble." The media center, set up at the Wilshire Grand Hotel’s Golden State Room, will be open to credentialed media on Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. in time for the final presscon. The official weigh-in is scheduled at 3 p.m. of Sept. 9 at the Star Plaza located just outside Staples Center. In a bid to further drum up the event, it will be open to the public. Pacquiao and Velasquez are scheduled to climb the ring at 7 p.m. (shortly before noon in Manila). Whether or not the fight goes the distance, Morales takes over at 8 p.m. The post-fight press conference will take place after the final bout of evening at the Chick Hearn room of the Staples Center. As hoped, a Pacquiao-Morales rematch should be tackled right there. Quote Link to comment

MODERATOR tamago Posted September 3, 2005 MODERATOR Share Posted September 3, 2005 (edited) Tamago's Wrestling Chismaks! The Batista-Eddie Guerrero feud might push through, so the Batista-Randy Orton feud will be postponed and Orton will continue to feud with the Undertaker. 1 likely reason for the postponement of the Orton-Batista feud is that the creative team feels that Orton is not yet ready for a top caliber championship feud. While Frankie Kazarian told people that he asked to be released from the WWE, other reports said that he was fired. Rumor has it that Vince McMahon was upset that Kazarian was not interested in cutting his hair, and that Kazarian rejected his idea for a gimmick. McMahon then fired him. According to reports, Amy Dumas aka Lita can't wait for the current Matt hardy-Edge feud to be over. It is rumored that Lita & Hardy are back together. There is a plan for Trish Stratus to return as a face, and she'll team up with Raw Diva Search 2005 winner Ashley Massaro to take on Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle. Rumor has it that New Japan Pro Wrestling might sign up Kenzo Suzuki. According to the Ottawa Sun, the WWE plans to bring back the ECW brand after Wrestlemania 22. Ever since she got into wrestling, Stacy Keibler has suffered 2 broken noses, broken ribs, and a strained hip flexor. Since the WWE now holds the copyright to the Dudley Boyz's name, they are now known as "Team 3D." The reason why Paul London lost he Cruiserweight belt to Nunzio is that London is being punished for airing out his digust over the "toning-down-of--high-flying-moves" order. He was upset when this 1st reached him, so he talked to Vince McMahon over it. He pleaded that the Cruiserweight division should be left alone, and that if the high-flying moves were removed, then the Cruiserweight division won't be able to make it to the top. McMahon then "suggested" that London drop the title to Nunzio.Regarding this, it's interesting that WWE management encourages wrestlers to "submit ideas," but when they do, they pay the price. Nora Greenwald, formerly known as Molly Holly, is expected to debut in TNA soon. TNA has already signed up Gail Kim. Rumor has it that Jackie Gayda will also sign up with the company. Rumor has it that Vader is back in the WWE. Sean Waltman met with WWE officials last week with hopes of rejoining the company. A heated argument transpired between Ron Killings and Jeff Jarrett over Jarrett's suggestion that the 3LiveKru break up. Regarding this, TNA is planning for BG James & Kip James to team up once again and relive their glory days as the New Age Outlaws in WWE. If they indeed team up, they might be known as "The James Gang." Daviari is now in Deep South Wrestling. He's trying to keep in shape while waiting for WWE's decision regarding Muhammad Hassan. Ultimo Dragon might sign up with TNA. Tough Enough 4 runner-up Mike Mizanin is with Deep South Wrestling, where he is known as Mike The Miz. Former WWF Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson claims that he was supposed to return to the WWE to start a feud with Brock Lesnar. Raw Diva Search 2005 runner-up Leyla Milani says that the wardrobe malfunction that occured during the Sgt. Slaughter's Bikini Boot Camp was not staged. Christian merchandise has been pulled out due to a legal issue. TNA is interested in signing up the Dudley Boyz, yet officials are apprehensive due to the fact that the Dudleys are asking for "big bucks." Jackie Gayda and other released Divas are still included in the 2006 WWE Calendar. Big Show is unhappy over the fact that his feud with Chris Masters has been dropped with no explanation. There are plans for Rey Mysterio to start a feud with Randy Orton by the end of the year. Here are some rumored matches for WWE Unforgiven: Chris Masters vs Shawn Michaels Ric Flair vs Carlito for the Intercontinental Championship Edge vs Matt Hardy Edited September 4, 2005 by tamago Quote Link to comment
