@ppdd

how was Li-Ning Run?

how was the recovery session. :D

Wala pa ko running event... sarap kasi pag ipunan yung Batanes Winter Marathon sa Feb 2016. hahaha

@alex

I'm using two apps para sure.

1. Nike+ Running

2. Runtastic

@alex -- naku wala ako running apps. i dont even have an android phone haha. umaasa lang ako sa measurement ng maps/streets online, then manual time check.. sorry

@spirit220 -- naku ang masasabi ko lang sa li-ning run: buset! i'll post a detailed fr about sa run later. recovery session? wala pa.. or wala na.. naagaw ng lego ang budget ampf haha

@alex

Nagamit ko na dati Runkeeper offline. OK naman. Na-map niya yung run gamit yung GPS sensor ng phone kahit nakapatay ang cellular data.

@ppdd

@spirit220

Talagang magulo GPS signal sa Makati. Kahit gps watches naguguluhan din.

Milo season na! Anyone running the Manila elimination leg?

aight cool. gumagana both kahit di naka turn on or wala ako data?

I'll probably try Runtastic, walang Nike+ sa windows phone eh.

Ako din! planning on joining the Batanes on Feb 2016.

Naalala ko yung Batanes Trail run last time naudlot kasi dumating si pope.

yes, just turn on the gps of your phone.

FR on Li-Ning Manila Run 2015

this was my 1st 21km run after getting injured way back in January. kala ko ok yung event, thinking na ka-level sya ng Nike running events, nde pala. i wasnt expecting to break my PR, just wanted to try and get started back into running. anyway i was able to finish the run without any injuries so ok na din.

unofficial time: 3hrs 16mins

PROS

+may medal lahat ng categories

+colorful "singlets"

+nice finisher sleeveless shirt

CONS

-very late start for 21k. supposed to be 4:30am yung gun start. nagstart ata 4:40am or 4:45am na

-organizers are inexperienced (1st time ata nila, sila-sila lang ata nagplan)

-no distance markers for the whole race.

-nagkaubusan ng tubig/plastic cups sa hydration stations (lalo na yung pabalik na kami from luneta to ccp)

-at one point in the race near the end, walang guide/marshall kung saan pupunta yung runners. nagkalituhan pa kami kung saan dadaan talaga

-yung mga marshalls walang kabuhay buhay. namiss ko yung mga nagchi-cheer at nag gi-greet na marshalls, encouraging you as you pass them by lalo na dun sa end ng route

-nag iisang baggage area for all categories. buti medyo nahuli ako ng tapos, nde ko nakita yung agawan sa claiming ng bag after the race

-size shortage ng finisher shirt. lucky for me kasi XL nalang naiwan, which is what i usually get

-wala ako nakitang portalets or even medical teams on standby along the race route

so ayun.. ano next run nyo? :)

FR on Milo Marathon 2015

Category: 10k

unofficial time: 1hr 18mins -/+

note: still a long way from my PR pero first time ko magpush tlaga trying to get a good time. tagaktak pawis ko haha. pero kulang talaga sa practice. hirap ako magtake in ng hangin. on a positive note, my legs, knees and back were all fine for the whole run

Pros

+plenty of hydration stations, pati portalets both dun sa village and along the route

+distance markers for all categories

+very organized. started on time. hinati sa waves yung category na madami participants. pati sa baggage ok din

+plenty of fun activities after the run, may free milo drinks pa

+low registration fee

Cons

-registration sites anlayo (trinoma, bgc, greenbelt, moa)

-they now require health certificate/medical clearance for 21k/42k runners (although para din naman to sa ikabubuti ng runners pero dagdag hassle sya eh)

-in trying to control the participants, anlayo ng ikutan going to the starting line. dami tuloy nalate sa waves nila

overall, it is a well organized event. sana next time makaabot na ako sa cutoff ng 21k hehe

Next runs: Sofitel Half Marathon (21k) / Class of Clans (16k)
