Salamat sa links.

I'd like to share this youtube link that just shows how a simple piece when interpreted by a master becomes a masterpiece. Sa mga nag aral ng music this is a level 1 voice piece. It is given to all freshmen pero I've never heard it sung this well.

performed by montserrat caballe, Caro Mio Ben by Giordani

For a demonstration of exquisite control and sublime restraint here is maestro Pavarotti in an early recital:

salamat. I really enjoyed maestro pavarotti's rendition. Ngayon ko lang napanood ito but I prefer the female timbre for this piece (cguro dahil frustrated soprano ako hahaha) We lost such a great tenor.

May I recommend American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore. She's an ageless beauty with an equally fabulous voice. Here's a video of Ombra Mai Fu (from Handel's Xerxes):

And she speaks fluent French to boot. That's so sexy!

On April 13, 1982 at London's Royal Albert Hall, in the presence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother, Luciano Pavarotti performed at a Royal Gala Concert, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kurt Herbert Adler.

'Fra poco a me ricovero' from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor

'Lamento di Federico' from Cilea's L'Arlesiana

'E lucevan le stelle' from Puccini's Tosca

'Una furtiva lagrima' from Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore

'Nessun Dorma' from Puccini's Turandot

Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake Ballet. This piece was sampled by the legendary hip-hop producer and rapper Rza of Wu-Tang Clan, in the song Black Star Lineup.

Now I don't know if this belongs to classical music, (some would classify it as New Age or esoteric music) but I definitely love the works of Thomas de Hartmann and the Russian mystic George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff.
