Jojo_I
I am not generalizing that all their branches provide poor service, but the I-bank branch in Alabang (across from Ayala Alabang Village and near the BMW service center) has the slowest service of any bank I've transacted with. If only my car loan wasn't with this bank, I would never come here again. They make me wait at least 45 minutes before I am even called to the teller. They do not value their clients' time. :thumbsdownsmiley: Quote Link to comment
jopoc
Dr_PepPeR
It's simple, really. If you are an ordinary depositor, you have to queue because a big bank has a lot of transactions. Don't like waiting in line? Get an ATM account and go there during odd hours. Big time clients don't feel this because they have gofers to do the waiting in line for them, and these are usually the gofers who have 20 transactions for the teller to do. Don't go on Mondays, Fridays and paydays and especially just before a long holiday. Don't go during lunchtime as everyone seems to be there too. It's worse at around 1-2 pm since that is check clearing cut off time. Why do you complain and still keep your account there? It's a trade off. You want stability, accessiblity, available services etc etc well, the banks pay attention to their valued clients, not us ordinary folks who maintain the absolute minimum to keep the account alive. The Know Your Client or KYC standard that results in lots of IDs and documents required to open an account is dictated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Which in turn is dictated by our government who wants to keep out of the US pooplist of countries open to money laundering. You think the big banks enjoy serving that many clients in their branches? Well they find it a hassle too, so much so they try their best to discourage branch over-the-counter transactions by making it more attractive to transact via ATM or over the internet. Look for a small bank. I did, and I don't wait that long. Yeah, it's not as accessible as the big five but then, it's a trade off that I will happily accept. Quote Link to comment

Fitzroy
i have 3 bank accounts (2 ATM and 1 current) everything said about the bank giving more service to big time customers is true. My mom is a big time banker in some bank (she was even given 3 security guards as escorts to her car when she withdraws large amounts of money) and because of that when i started my own account i didn't have to wait in line. for banking to be more easy, enroll your accounts on internet based services that your bank offers. I did so myself. just be careful of spoof bank sites that imitate the original site of your bank or else you might lose money. Quote Link to comment
luckystrike
guys im not from the banking industry but please understand them also. i read so many complains pero you should also think about what are the reason firstly sa mahabang pila its quite normal if you go to the bank tuwing fridays and mondays the start and end of week madami talaga puntang banko so try to go there in between weekdays and for things like mabagal service and too many requirements na kailangan (like encashing checks ) please UNDERSTAND that whatever happens to that transaction bogus or otherwise sagot ng staff yon so pinangangalagaan lang nila ang sarili nila and of course your account (gusto mo ba na may magwithdraw ng money mo without you knowledge?). and for other complains like masugit etc wala na ako masabi dyan hehehe but rememeber sa lahat ng business that provide services complains are normal as you know you cant please everybody peace! kerrmit
exactly, the wierd thing i've noticed about bank people is that somehow, they think that the millions of pesos that the bank deals in is theirs, that they have a part in it,so they take on this arrogant demeanor. and the depositor, the guy actually paying for their salaries, gets the brunt of this attitude ~sighhh~(kinda like the government hehehe) anyway, we switched to PS bank and so far they're okthe poster who was so mad at PS bank for releasing their loan months after approval had bad luck, ours was released two weeks after (actually that's still slow so i sympathize with you man...two months? grrrr) Yeah, the problem with these bank a$$holes is that they the smell of money has somehow caused a part of their brain to stop functioning.. and that's the part on Customer Service. Akala mo naman sa kanila yung pera. You're lucky with PSBank dude! two weeks would have been great, we should have finished our home construction a long time ago. But because of their delayed release, we are now trying to finish it on a rainy season. Construction din ba yung loan mo? If it is, get ready for next headache: appraisers asking for money.. sheeesshhh, parang gobyerno talaga! I guess it depends on the branch also. I am now dealing with another PSBank branch and everything seems A-ok up to now. The service is a lot better than the last branch. But the experience was really traumatic. I wouldn't wish anyone to go through the same ordeal. Quote Link to comment

gyobags
BPI practices discrimination, pag punta mo sa teller may line para sa regular account holders, at may different line para sa PREFFERED(sic) account holders. Di ba dapat LAHAT ng kliyente ng kahit anong banko eh should always treat all there clients as preffered? Mga letse kayo, pasalamat kayo ipinahawak namin pera namin sa inyo.....SYET!
