Yan ba yung season na nakuha ni Paras yung 2nd MVP award niya?

Nope...Donald Williams was Shell's reinforcement during 1998 Centennial Cup and Governors Cup. He played along John Best and they together propelled Shell to Governor's Cup title against Mobiline Phone Pals whose imports were the volatile Silas Mills and Artemus "Tee" McClary. Before the Governor's Cup, there was a special conference w/c is Centennial Cup and Mobiline took the crown also against Shell. (take note, there were 2 imports becoz some of the players were loaned to the Philippine Centennial Team w/c took the 3rd place finish in Bangkok Asian Games ... Kenneth Duremdes was the MVP in that year.

In 1999, the year were a lot of Fil-am playes invade the league Alvarado, Menk, D. Siegle etc... Shell won the All-Filipino Cup! against the favored Tanduay, runner-up in Commisioner's Cup and "bokya" in Govs Cup!! Benjie Paras was the MVP!!!

If this comes true, malamang walang sinabi lahat ang mga ibang import na yan....

From ESPN.com

Mailman A Bull?

After losing twice in the NBA Finals to the Chicago Bulls, it now appears former Jazzman Karl Malone could become a temporary Bull -- a Red Bull, that is.

The Red Bull team of the Philippine Basketball Association is said to be actually negotiating to bring the "Mailman" in as its allowed import player for the PBA Fiesta Cup tournament that begins March 30, according to the Manila Bulletin. -- Deseret Morning News

This move is apparently not a publicity stunt because Tony Chua, Red Bull's representative said yesterday that negotiations are currently underway to lure Malone who retired as one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players.

According to Chua, they're waiting for Malone, whose wife is a Filipina, to decide until today. -- Manila Bulletin

TOTOO BA TO??? BAKA STORY-TELL-A-LIE LNG TO! I remember during the 1996 Governors Cup between the Grand slam Alaska and Ginebra. Ginebra was down 3-0 in the series coz their import was the lousy Fred Cofield. Jawo said that he will hire Micheal Jordan in the rest of the series..hahaha!

  1. Byron "Snake" Jones for Crispa
  2. Andrew Fields and Donnie Ray Koons for Toyota
  3. Billy Ray Bates in Crispa (after drug rehab) wasn't as 'flashy' in his stint with Ginebra (too much marijuana)
  4. Tony "The Hurricane" Harris for Swift
  5. Michael Hackett for Ginebra

My Top 10 not necessarily in order :

1. Michael Hackett- Ginebra

2. Tony Harris-Swift

3. Rob Williams-Tanduay

4. Carlos Briggs-Anejo

5. Francois Wise-Hills Bros

6. Jose Slaughter-Alaska

7. David Thirdkill-Purefoods

8. Bobby Parks-Shell

9. Sean Chambers-Alaska

10. Henry James- Ginebra

i'd have to agree with this list... the names may look old... but they are certainly more hard working and entertaining than the lazy imports the PBA have today... hell even many local players are lazy...

-----------------

include ko na din:

11. Norman Black - San Miguel
