Filipino Or English

native speaker here... i speak more tagalog than english any given day...

but i did better in my english classes than in my filipino classes...

 

let's face it...

the words in the talasalitaan taught in school are quite archaic...

lets just say that i got a 3 in all my fili classes...

 

hay...

 

but i got quite interested in the subject when my prof introduced the alibata, writing in alibata, etc...

 

till now i still suck in filipino my friend who is a teacher told me so... that was after i asked her WTF am I supposed to do with that???

 

shucks, the lesson - panlapi... what the hell is that???

oh, affixes.... i'm so friggin slow...

it's english. i had no difficulty learning it since it was my first language. i grew up being spoken to in english so it was really a huge help for me. i need not adjust that much when it was taught.

 

i only learned to speak and write filipino when i started school and am proud to say that i also did well at it.
