Computer Troubleshooting And Repair

Recommended Posts

i've noticed lately that i get this message (see attached) whenever my PC is on for a few minutes. it hangs and then displays this message. i though that maybe it's due to my HD heating up so what i do is, i place a fan in front of my tower to lower down the temperature of my HD and it works. is it because of it? or it's because of something else?hindi naman nagkakaganito pc ko dati and wala naman akong ininstall na program lately which malfunctions.

Here's what i found:

0x000000F4: CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION

(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)

One of the many processes or threads crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated. As a result, the system can no longer function. Specific causes are many, and often best resolved by a careful history of the problem and the circumstances of the error message. One user, who experienced this on return from Standby mode on Win XP SP2, found the cause was that Windows was installed on a slave drive; compare KB 330100.

you can try running HDD diags to be sure. HTH

Hi guys!

Pabling - I hope naaalala mo pa ako. I had a problem regarding ERROR 678(internet), and I tried everything but found one solution (which was the final answer from the PLDT Tech dude --- USE A USB MODEM AND SEE IF YOU CAN CONNECT. - IT DID!

Now that the problem is my NIC, will buying a LAN Card work??? Kasi yung USB modem pinahiram lang sa akin nung PLDT tech guy, kanya daw talaga yun and he'll get it from me anytime he'll need it. And I remember one time another technician used a LAN card but still it did not work (or maybe he doesnt know what he was doin that time)

meron ba kayung alam kung saan bili nang power adoptor for scanner na 16v... grabe hirap pala hanap nun.... puro 18v and 12 v ang nahahanap ko..

you can buy a switchable power adapter wherein you can choose from several available voltage settings in the same adapter. go to electronic shops like deeco, avesco, tyson, etc.

Alangya yun lang pala. Actually if you buy a nic card, that should work. Just remember to disable the integrated nic when you plug in a PCI NIC.

I guess that's an xmas gift for you pare. :thumbsupsmiley: Happy holidays ^_^

I know what you mean, but it's not like that in this case. PCI NIC cards uses the BUS technology and all other types of cards you install on PCI slots and these PCI slots have their own circuits and chipsets to make the slots work. the same goes for the integrated LAN port on your board, they use a different road or circuits on the board to transport data and integrated devices like LAN, Modem, Sound, Video and many others have their own circuits and chipsets as well on the board to process their functions. I hope this helps

Bossing HELP!

Please can somebody out there help me before I chuck my laptop out the window.

I switched on kanina to be confronted by a "Fixed Disk Parameter Table or BIOS error. System

Halted" error message on a black screen.

Sinubukan ko power-off several tiumes and then re-boot. Ganun pa rin.

Paano ba to? Pa-tulong naman po pls.

Simple lang sa akin: bakit ayaw mag-adjust ng brightness sa Windows Media Player namin?

Bro what version is your media player? have you tried adjusting it on the player itself or just on the monitor settings? try to click on view then go to enhancements then video settings. this is common on media player settings

Its Windows Media Player 10. I've tried the player's video settings feature; when I adjust it, babalik siya sa gitna

(it gets really frustrating on those dark sex scenes when you'd want to brighten things up )

hi all, I have HP Vectra haven't checked bios while i'm doing this so bear with me.

My OS is windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 3

I tried installing quicktime thru DSL and had problems. Tried uninstalling and didn't work so i deleted the files/folders for it. This damage my DVD-ROM and now my system takes forever to boot if it did it's very slow..... In the process of uninstalling the DVD-ROM, my network adapter (intel pro/100+ management adapter) also got damaged.

Here's the error from when I tried device manager to fix the adapter.

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) Click Troubleshooter...."

If I did click on troubleshooter, it will say it failed cause of another device which i do not know.

Right now, i removed my DVD-ROM so that my system will boot up and run normally.

How can I fix both problems? will a software patch fix this? where can i download for free?
