rldelrosario
Quality of life is still better in the Philippines. Kahit wala kang pera, lumabas ka lang ng bahay mo, masaya na. Try doing that in the US or any western country. If you don't have money, you will be miserable...and miserble alone. touche man.. misleading kasi at times when we get an opportunity to travel abroad and see the sights.... and the greatest misconception of them all... california gurls.... their not wall to wall blond models... more like fat mamas... the great thing about living in your own country... friends.. If you don't have money, you will be miserable...and miserble alone. its all relative, depends if u qualify for welfare assistance.e.g australia has unemployment rate of around 5%, record low.and if u cant find a job u can claim unemployment benefits. which is low, but is around 7600p equivalent p/week.granted cost of living is high and skilled visa hard to get.thats maybe why family for support so important here in phils, compared to most in the west Quote Link to comment
ike.santos
In most western country, there is unemployment benefits naman. But that is never sufficient. Syempre, if you convert that monthly stipend to Php, malaki yun. Pero in reality and if you spend it in AUS or even in the US, kulang na kulang yan. Plus, there is no such thing as "kamag anak" in most western countries. If you don't earn your keeps, chances are you will be fending for yourself in the streets.. Quote Link to comment
Thomas Durnst
I have dual citizenship, but I love the PI cause it's actually a "free-er" country here. On the downside you've got to deal with traffic though. Quote Link to comment
missmena
I can never live in the Philippines, actually after a couple of weeks I start getting a headache there. But sure is a fun place to spend your money. Quote Link to comment

Touching_drip
Living here in NZ is an eye opener for me. Everything seems in order compare to the hassle and bustle of my beloved country, the crowd, animated conversations on the streets traffic and all, it's something I surely miss. jjmags
I will definitely stay in the Philippines. If I may share , I read an article entitled "Are Filipinos who don't want to migrate to Canada retarded? An intriguing question that I found it offending. Though, I should not be , since it is a just a question. Anyway, here is a portion of the article : "It may seem a rough question, but considering the arrogance of some people who have migrated abroad as perceived by some Filipinos who stayed behind, it is begging to be asked. But not all people who migrated to other countries shared these perceived arrogance. Most are quite down to earth and knows how to struggle for a living and work with their hands. Still, there are few that have managed to forget where they come from. In the first place, they grew up in those countries so it would be quite easy to forgive them. Even so, for those who are left behind and doesn't want to go to Canada even they have the qualifications to go to, the question does need to be asked. Why do you have to stay? Are you retarded?" Well, to answer the question, its actually of choosing what is your priority in life and what you love most. In my case, I love my country and I love my family. Quote Link to comment
