pogipogi0
What do you use a computer for int he first place? Meron ka bang seryosong pinaggagamitan? Doon tayo magumpisa. O kaya, ano ba mga hilig mo? If you are looking for something to do online, ano muna ang access mo? Give me an idea and I try try to point you to the possibilities. In the meantime, please be sure to go online so you can get the latest software updates. Apple has sent out version 1.4 of the ROM last week but thats only useful for those who would condescend to using windows on their MacBook. I'm not wasting any resources to run Windows. >>>>gamit kolang talga sa computer ko is to go online, play some games sometimes, download mp3 files, porns, e books, pag may mas mahabang time, kalikot ako ng konting autocad or access. this is when i used a PC. gusto ko seryosohin either yung access sana or counterpart nya sa mac. burn some hard to find videos sa dvd since i got lots of vid files na sa PCtotoong reason is makalimutin ako so i want to bring the whole file or possibly the whole pc with me all the times so i ended up in laptop then i choose mac maybe to do some extra mile and maybe surprise me with something pc cant do. labo no? i gotta try the garrage band kanina.. hehehe kinalikot ko electric guitar ng cuz ko ayun... tumugtug naman sa macbook ko heheheheh Quote Link to comment

pogipogi0
If you want to be able to try to use and sniff out wifi networks even the closed networks, download Kismac but you must know what you are doing. How handy are you with Unix 'root' commands? If you are coming from Windows, bone up on getting to know the OS innards a bit more and you will be surprised at what it can do from a command line if are 'hard core'. >>>i think this part is fun but i dunno any unix diskarte sir, any suggestion on what to read?for downloading file, i usually get links for rapidshare and very rare to use bit comet pag no choice what is maya7 po? mac version ng autocad? or an enhancement sa autocad?i remember the seller is suggesting for the pro if i want to play games but masaya na ako sa mga red alert na luma so i think it will got a decent grapix. never tried it tho i got a macbook lang po the black one 13 inch display upgraded to 2 gig ram,160hdd thanks for answering my dumb questions master! appreciate it a lot! roxysnonie
ano po ba yung software that makes a mac double boot to either a mac os or windows xp? baka mayroon mag share dito? Quote Link to comment
Guest lustfortravel
ano po ba yung software that makes a mac double boot to either a mac os or windows xp? baka mayroon mag share dito? bro, there is an option key that is pressed so that you are given the option to boot to the mac os or windows xp. i had both systems loaded in my macbook since i was a new user and my comfort zone has always been windows. but if you ask me, windows xp is a waste of time. ever since i tried the mac os, i havent looked back. in fact, i have never used the other system, i feel it is sooo inferior. that's my opinion only; however, i'm sure the other mac users agree Quote Link to comment

stormrider
Hi. Hope the gurus here can help me out... I'm thinking of getting a Mac for personal use (mainly Internet and the occassional photo/video stuff). I'm a PC user, so this will be my first Mac. There are those who say that based on my requirement, a top-end MacBook would suffice. But then, there are those who advise me to just get a entry level MacBook Pro instead. Me? I'm leaning towards the latter because of the larger screen and aesthetic design of the unit. Gurus, please set me in the right direction. Thanks. Quote Link to comment

I'm leaning towards the latter because of the larger screen and aesthetic design of the unit i'm definitely not a guru where mac is concerned since i just use my laptop for internet and the occasional photos ( exactly like you) but i would say that it would really depend on what you want to use it for later on. if you have the funds, get the top-end. the entry level mac ( which is the one i got) doesnt have a dvd burner so if you want to burn those photos, you would have to use another burner. by the way, once you get your Mac, you will never want to use a PC again. guys, question also. i'm having difficulties with the bluetooth feature of my mac. i have already entered the passkey and my laptop can detect my nokia cellphones. but my cellphones can't detect my mac. this is a bummer since i need to transfer photos from my cellphones to my laptop directly. any suggestions? stormrider
There are those who say that based on my requirement, a top-end MacBook would suffice. But then, there are those who advise me to just get a entry level MacBook Pro instead. You've got your Mac models the other way around but no matter. The Macbook is the entry level model. The Macbook Pro is the high end. That sort of explains why the MBP has a larger screen does it not? The Macbook is what I call the 'plastic' Mac. It is available in white and black with the Black version having the same processor, more-or-less as the mainstream Macbook Pro. Thanks Boomouse, What I meant to say was that my options were: 1. MacBook - the top-end variant (2.16 GHz, Core 2 Duo, 1GB, 120/160 GB)2. MacBook Pro - the base variant (2.2 GHz, Core 2 Duo, 2GB, 120GB) As I said before, I'm kinda leaning towards the latter. Based on my canvassing (Ynzal and Power Mac Center), the notebooks are out-of-stock at the moment. So I'll have to wait. Quote Link to comment

Guest lustfortravel
Be sure that you have the "discoverable" box in your bluetooth preferences checked. Ensure that your phone is also discoverable. You must initiate the connection from your mac not your phone. Use OS X's bluetooth setup assistant to establish pairing. Once you get your Mac paired to your phone sending files is like sending to another phone. thanks, boomouse! I will try it tomorrow i'm afraid i might be posting more questions though since i haven't really explored all options. i use it for photoshop and surfing only at the moment. plus a few power point presentations. Thanks lustofortravel, That's what I'm afraid of. That's the reason why the Mac will be for personal use only. yep, trust me. i only have the entry level model , the macbook without the superdrive. but i am soooo happy with it. before,i used to lend out my laptop to any of my friends, for weeks. now, no one gets to use my mac except me Quote Link to comment

Guest lustfortravel
I think most people on this thread would collectively have everything. Can you guys sound off on whether there is interest in a Mac-only EB? I normally don't go to ebs but if there is one, I am all for it . especially since i'm too lazy to learn the applications and would appreciate meeting people who can show me how to do it Quote Link to comment

stormrider
I'm trying to talk my brother into getting a Macbook too. His main concern is his work-related stuff (Word, Excel). 1. Isn't there a Mac version of these programs too? Where available? Price?2. Can Pages, Keynote and Numbers run Word, Powerpoint, Excel files? Quote Link to comment
