ROTC/ CAT - I

Very memorable saking yung boot camp nung ROTC. We did everything: from rapelling, to the ridiculous drills and obstacle courses, ending it with learning how to shoot a pistol/rifle.

well not an activity but a person. my comrade who is a big guy medium built but cannot stand the heat or the sun.

he would always collapse during formations.

 

thus, the word collapsible was always attached to him

I freaking hated ROTC.. a bunch of stupid officers trying to tell you what to do, i mean, I don't have any problem following their commands, but most of the time they are just plain stupid..

 

In the middle of the field with sun scorching your skin, with dirt and dust all over your skin and fatigue, with officers constantly shouting commands that no one understands, with food that are inedible, I do not think anyone enjoyed that experience at all.

pinag-push up ako ng kaklase ko ng HS (Platoon Leader sya ng Echo 2nd Company) sa harap ng mga ROTC officers hiniritan ko kasi kinantyawan ng opisyal kaya napilitan daw sya. nagsorry naman after ng ROTC.

when i was mistaken for a boy because of my 3x4 haircut which was a requirement for cadette training. i almost do a TH chest out to prove otherwise.

Our ROTC batch went to this military camp for orientation visit and we met a young military officer by the name of "Gregorio Honasan".

MS 11. I remember the one of the guys holding the school flag (or color) fainting. And that is during the interschool "pasa-masid" competition. Kawawa naman!

High School: Dahil sa madami nahirapan nung 1st day ng CAT, madami ang napasali ng varsity teams noong HS kami. hahahaha Iwas CAT at sure 100 pa grade mo. Worth it naman sobra since you get to be trained and represent the school for the tournaments!!!

 

College: Since curious ako sa mga military training, i joined the Model Battalion of our school. Grabe it was really memorable. Iba and training sa normal midshipmen. Lagi nakabilad sa araw from 6-am to 12noon. Ang sarap ng feeling kasi alam mo above ka sa iba and you get to learn more about handling rifles, marching etc etc

Being a paramedical student, I was one of the many designated "medics." Pero sa curriculum namin, wala pa sa first year yung first aid. So wala rin kaming ginawa kung hindi maupo at manood sa nagdidrill. At bumili ng siopao at softdrinks.

officer ako ng CAT nung high school, di ko makalimutan 2 weeks straight hard training, sobra sakit sa katawan at exhausting.

 

 

sa ROTC di masyado nakakapagod kasi every sat lang for 2 terms. Nagenjoy lang ako makahawak at kasa ng antigong riffle lalo na sa general tactical inspection contest between schools sa fort bonifacio.

napansin ko magkasunod lang pala tayo ng year ng rotc, id 102 kasi ako hehe

CAT - naging syota ako ng isang napakachikas na co.comander..kya plaging excuse kpag tinamad na humanay hehehe

 

ROTC - had sex with a fellow medic sa likod ng rotc grounds. kala ng iba anghel babaeng yun, pala halos ilang buwan na ngyaya skn mka do lol

I won't forget our first day of ROTC in UST. Pinasok ng mga aktibista ung UST Grand Stand, humihingi ng justice para dun sa pinatay na ROTC officer (can't remember the name) dahil sa alleged corruption na nangyayari.

 

Eto nga ung reason kaya nagkaron na ng option to do civil service or rotc sa college.

I'll never forget my last day at ROTC at La Salle. We had a war game with supposed rebels. We used M16s and M1 Garand rifles. Used blanks of course but the shooting stopped traffic along Taft Avenue! That was the best time I ever had as an ROTC cadet.

Nagmedics ako para makatakas sa pagtayo buong umaga sa field

CAT- i was an officer, tapos summercamp namin meron kaming rifle assembling. i was the fastest in assembly kaya lang nalimutan ko yung gatilyo. imbes na may merit ako demerit pa nangyari.

 

ROTC - my friend at UST was salvaged.

CAT. Never had this, for some reason our Highschool did not adopt this.

 

ROTC. Became part of UST Golden Corps of Cadets. SCO Bravo Batch 2006. The salavaged officer's name was 2nd Class Mark Chua. Never got the chance to meet him.

In High School I was an officer in the CAT. During colleged, got tired of military exercises that I've decided to just pay for it using back channels. Unfortunately, it took me until my 3rd year in college before I was able to completely clear the ROTC.
