hottlipss
Since my U.S Army dad had aspirations for me to attend WestPoint or AirForce Academy, he encouraged me to take ROTC to improve my chances of getting accepted. So my freshman year, attend ako. At that time ako lang yata sa mga classmates ko ang nagdevelop na- (breasts). I was very conscious of them and tried to hide them as much as I can. This commander, who is a senior, would always make me feel uncomfortable by singling me out and constantly humiliate me and whenever we're in formation would stand so close to me na he's literally touching my breast. Minsan me inspection, ang lapit lapit niya na halos maghalikan na kami at kiskis na kiskis yung dibdib niya sa dibdib ko. Nainis na ako sobra at pinapahiya niya naman ako, bigla ko siyang sinampal and kicked him in the groin tapos pinagsusuntok ko for all those times he humiliated me. Yun na suspend ako nang ilang araw from school at na kick-out ako sa ROTC at hindi ko na rin napursue yung gusto nang dad ko. My family jokes about it now. I'm not made to be in the military talaga. I just can't see myself saluting and be submissive to some jerk because of their rank. Edited July 13, 2006 by hottlipss Quote Link to comment

dynoeggs
Definitely, Exactly, Extremely, Absolutely 100% Correct!!!I Agree... :thumbsupsmiley: ROTC and CAT are fvckin waste of time and effort. :thumbsdownsmiley: :thumbsdownsmiley: :thumbsdownsmiley: Just an additional garbage to the curriculum.  i know all of us has there own opinion and we should respect it. but just to point out that it is not a waste of time.well during war times this is where the military gets there reserve soldiers that is why it was a law that all college studentsmale for that matter is required to undergo it. but unfortunately it was disolve due to some bad tomatoes who distroyed thereputation of the corps. the meaning of rotc is reserve officer training command so they are the ones who preparethe students for in any event they could be easily called to active duty and defend our country. so if a person already undergone training, thay would be easily be deployed to war in just a short time. the country will be well prepared for any war. just like in israel right now all there reserve force is already been called to active duty in defense of there country. so if you underwent training you already have a record in the afp and if any war arises they will call upon the reserves.it is like we are the second line of defense. that is why the training is quite hard because war is even harder so they are sort off preparing young men to be ready. i was an officer during our rotc and we are of the the largest unit in metro manila. we even made a parade in honor of pres ramos during that time and it was held in the luneta grandstand. there are also some civic action during that time. right now our afp and police has alot of rotc graduates. so i say it is not a waste of time well thats for my unit. i dont know if you have some bad experience in your unit. i also hope that no war comes our land. my 2 cents. cheers!   :mtc: Quote Link to comment
