STILL CAMERAS and no amount of HD video technology crammed into it will make me buy one im not too thrilled about that feature myself.. but if you dont like it, then either dont buy the D90 or dont use it.. STILL CAMERAS and no amount of HD video technology crammed into it will make me buy one I'll be getting the D700 or D300 instead well, good for you...you know what you want, you know what you need and you stick to it like, well..err...anything that sticks I, on the other hand was also a bit apprehensive, until I thought about it... most consumer video electronics out there have small sensors and really deep DOF, so an APS size sensor capturing video from a 2.8 lens really ups the potential. imagine slapping on a 50mm 1.4 lens on that baby and shooting a video. Imagine HD at 400mm. VR also works on it, and so do every other lens and body tech that you can think off. ISO 3200. 11focus points with 3D tracking. Exposure comp. Matrix metering.
