muchovirtuoso
i already tried using linux. but i can't seem to get hooked into it. the reason is because i got so much dependent on windows applications, games etc. i know a few linux tricks like mounting a shared windows folder, transfering files windows to linux and vice versa, etc. btw i am using redhat Quote Link to comment

poppinfresh2k5
hehe very true. but still, linux does need a user friendliness upgrade if it wants to be mainstream. but at what cost nga does it pit against the allure of linux as opposed to usability. curious though about gutsy gibbon. ill try it out one of these days. webmaster_ph
its free so i have no complaints about it. Quote Link to comment
poppinfresh2k5
well read. i know its free. "cost" as to does it sacrifice its stability and rock solid performance as opposed to being everything for everyone and usability? the closest that has come to this is OS X but even it cannot be that for everyone against windows. opening yourself to usability will necessitate being vulnerable to flaws and yes, also bloat. thats why i like linux. streamlined, free, and a solid OS. but it sure isnt for everyone.
