medical guys & gals, question lang..is is safe to have sex pa 3 days after mensturation? when ba talaga yung sinasabing safe period? btw, the girl is having a regular cycle.. Thanks a lot!

On a regular period, the UNSAFE days are days 9-19 of a 28-day period.

Day 1 is the start of the menses.

a friend of mine told me that white spots started appearing on the border of his lips and then mostly concentrated on the corner of lips, not painfull but sometimes itchy, is this what you call fordyce spots?

are the white spots flat or raised? if not maybe just fungal since its itchy... better yet see your dermatologist.....

mga doctors i have one question po.........pede bang mag rupture ang common iliac vein kapag na-trauma ang upper legs.....say natamaan ng isang matigas na bagay....thanks.

Trauma to the lower extremities, no - because the common iliac vein is located within the pelvis. An isolated iliac vein injury may occur kung swertehin ang tao ng isang projectile or with a sharp object. Otherwise, you would need to have severe pelvic trauma to rupture it - if it is ruptured by severe pelvic trauma, the patient will most likely have more serious problems - like a common iliac artery rupture!

question

pag ectopic pregnancy ba nadedetect ng pregnancy kit?

my fren had 2 negatives on 2 pregnancy kit

im just scared bka palpak ung test

sa mercury drug ko nabili

An ectopic pregnancy will test positive on a pregnancy kit as it detects B-HCG hormone which becomes elevated in "all" pregnancies.

As Dr. Mwah has said, a negative =negative.

If you still are not convinced, try consulting with a psychiatrist. They can help you with your anxiety.

Easy

Definitely not. I am assuming that you are referring to a blunt injury and not a penetrating injury such as that from a knife. The location of the common iliac vein is at at the level of your umbilicus (pusod). Kaya sa palagay ko, medyo malayo na ang ini-isip mo. Seldom do you see vessel rupture, especially veins, from a blunt injury. You were probably referring to a femoral artery rupture.

gud mornin, doc...

meron cut s foot ang brother ko, nakatapak ng broken glass... 1.5 inches ang haba ng cut...

i have already applied a first aid treatment... is it necessary to "stich" these cuts kahit tumigil na yung bleeding?

thnks!!

It is not the "haba" (length) that warrants a decision to close the wound by sutures (stiching). It is actually the depth. Malalim ba?

Technically, kahit malalim ang sugat, it will heal by itself without being closed by sutures, but the cosmetic outcome might not be the same as a closed wound. The scar will be wider. And of course, the healing is longer.

Furthermore, a clean closed wound has an added defense angainst future infection (kasi nga sarado na).

What is important is he be given anti-tetanus shots (if he has no shots yet) and antibiotics to prevent infection.

Of course, wound care is important.

As any physician would advise, better have it checked. Do not be a quack doctor for other people.

Easy

PS. I could check the wound for your brother for free, just PM me.
