uaeboy25
pahabol po. ei fright since sinabi mo na just posting your "posting our opinions" and napost mo na po yung opinion mo. i think namali ka ng topic title. basahin mo ang ttitle ng topic na to is PACMAN's CORNER so expect people are talking about pacman na for JMM. kita mo nung nanalo si morales sa unang laban kay pacman walang umapela tanggap naman eh. kaso yung makulit naniniwala na si jmm ang nanalo punta na lang po sa court of appeal. this topic is pacman's corner. panood mo ung last secod sa 3rd round sa pacman-jmm2? sobrang hilo :upside: nawawala si marquez muntik pa syang umupo sa corner ni pacman. baka kako nangyari sau un. :mtc: Quote Link to comment
robbietan
But if you notice in the end, it showed www.nike.com.ph. robbietan
nagpunta dito si JMM and may lumapit sa kanya to endorse a rival beer brand sa brand ni Pacqui. pero after that interview, parang nawalan ng gana ang advertiser. ayaw yata nila sa isang sourgrape. unlike pareng Erik, tanggap na talo shah and fought like the gentleman warrior he is known for. and he got the respect and admiration of the pinoy fans for this, good enough to do a few commercials here. dragonei
I think MP should go for some new meat now. A rematch is too premature to talk about. Pero considering 24 rounds, I honestly think we already have established on who is the better boxer. Quote Link to comment

Doubt it. There were actually press releases during his training stint that Nike U.S.A. was going to do the shoots at the Wild Card Gym for their global campaign. Although he is part of a global ad campaign, I'm pretty sure that there is more than an additional push for him in the Asian and Philippine market where he is supposed to be more recognizable. pussyeater69ph
Biggest first-day sales of Pacquiao fight set Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said that over 7,000 tickets at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel & Casino were sold last Saturday for Manny Pacquiao’s WBC lightweight title fight against defending champion David Diaz in June. "The box office people report the tremendous demand for tickets was the biggest first-day sale for a Manny Pacquiao fight ever, and they had to limit sales to eight tickets per customer," Arum was quoted as saying by Philboxing.com. Arum said they will hold a formal press conference announcing the fight on May 3 in Los Angeles. "I didn’t want to hold it earlier because I didn’t want Manny to go through the inconvenience of coming to the United States for the press conference, flying back to the Philippines and then coming back for training." He said. Pacquiao will go straight to training at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach shortly after the press conference. Diaz an ‘unusual fighter’ Even as he described Pacquiao as "faster than Diaz and has a lot more skills", Arum said that Diaz is "a very unusual fighter." "He is very rugged, he is very, very determined," Arum said, "Diaz has a chin like iron, and it’s impossible to win over him by knockout." Arum predicted that Diaz would not hesitate to go toe-to-toe with the Filipino. "Unless Manny is in unbelievably great shape, he won't be able to go twelve rounds," he said. Arum described Diaz as "one of those over-achieving fighters who will stay to the bitter end", and more often than not, pull off a victory. Quote Link to comment

pussyeater69ph
Pacquiao immortalized with postage stamp Manny Pacquiao can now really say that he is an icon -- on and off the boxing ring. Late last week, the Philippine Postal Service (Philpost) came up with a special issue stamp bearing depicting Pacquiao, the first athlete to be honored as such by the agency. Philboxing.com reported that the Pacquiao stamp is the first in a series of special stamps of Filipino sports heroes. The series is under Philpost's "Kaya ng Pinoy" project. It was learned that Pacquiao agreed to the Philpost proposal to help continue restoring "international respect for the Philippines through his amazing exploits in the ring." According to Philpost chief and postmaster general Hector Villanueva, Pacquiao deserves the honor. "[He] really deserves this because no other Filipino boxer has achieved what he accomplished. He's been a world champion for more than four years now and his feats are still growing," the official said. Pacquiao, meanwhile, said that it is an honor for him to be featured in a stamp along with other great heroes in Philippine history. Pacquiao's last fight was on March 15 when he grabbed the WBC super featherweight crown from Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez. The "Pacman" is next scheduled to clash with Mexican-American fighter David Diaz on June 28 for the WBC lightweight belt. Meanwhile, aside from Pacquiao, other boxing heroes slated to be showcased in Philpost's "Kaya ng Pinoy" project are Hall-of-Famer Gabriel "Flash Elorde" and the Philippines' first world champion, Pancho Villa. Philpost previously released a special issue stamp honoring the 25th anniversary of the Philippine Basketball Association, Asia's first professional league. Quote Link to comment
pussyeater69ph
Roach takes Ortiz as Pacquiao sparmate Coach Freddie Roach is taking no chances as he sets a heavier sparring mate against Manny Pacquiao for the June 28 challenge against WBC lightweight champ David Diaz in Las Vegas, Nevada, an online news report said Tuesday. FightFan.com said that Roach has enlisted the services of 140-lb Victor Ortiz as one of Pacquiao's sparmates. Roach said that he believes Ortiz, touted as bigger and stronger than Diaz, will fit the bill in preparation for the WBC super featherweight king's ascent to the 135-lb division. In addition to Ortiz, Roach said that former world champ Freddie Norwood may also be enlisted to do practice sessions with Pacquiao. According to Roach, Pacquiao is set to arrive at the Wild Card gym in Hollywood, California for training on May 10. At present, the "Pacman" is continuing training sessions in his native General Santos City in the Philippines. Pacquiao's last fight on March 15 this year earned him the WBC super featherweight crown held by Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico. Quote Link to comment
