okidok
Wonder if any of you can help... Tama na muna ang popoyan...... Are there any new restos in the area aside from the walang kamatayang Josephines?? Quote Link to comment
Oculist
Lots, though they're not really new and most are more than a year old.. From Silang and on reaching the Rotonda turn right, keep driving, there's a huge complex where they have Dencio's,RS Lutong Bahay, Leslie's, Cafe Lupe, Starbuck's, Hen- Lin among others. If you pass this place right before you reach Josephine's, there's the new Viewsite, which is actually a branch of the one found in Tagaytay town proper. The town proper also has a lot of restaurants you can try. Quote Link to comment
S14
guys i could be putting in the wrong thread but do you guys know to to get to fantasy world theme? its along the border daw of tagaytay and batangas? anyone could point me to the right direction lets say coming from tagaytay from josephine restau? Quote Link to comment
Oculist
Coming from Josephine's Tagaytay, go straight on the Highway(Its called the Aguinaldo Highway) going towards Nasugbu, Batangas. Just keep driving until you see a Junction before the sign Welcoming you to Batangas which is just before a Petron Gas Station. Make a left, this will take you to Laurel, Batangas(where Fantasy Island is) Its a relatively steep down sloped road and after approximately 20-30 minutes of driving you will see the telltale Castle of Fantasy Island on your left. The experience is wonderful and the scenario is breathtaking... Horseback riding is one of the activities you can do either at Taal Vista lodge or at Picnic Groove. There is also a flower farm in Tagaytay-Mendez, it's about 45 mins. tour There is also If you want to stay overnight... you may stay at Day's Inn Hotel which belongs to the family of cebucitylocal or the newest hotel in Tagaytay which is Dacha Hotel that has swimming pool and jacuzzi  They can also accommodate up to 15 people per Villa If you need more information and assistance.. am just a pm away I love Tagaytay! allanon
Funny you mentioned the BULALO in RESIDENCE INN. I LOVE the bulalo there, and we used to drive all the way to tagaytay just to enjoy the bulalo and the view from there. It's definitely one of the best in town. Just irritating when, sometimes, they make you pay the entrance fee even if you're just going to eat at the restaurant and not visit the mini-zoo. Wish they could just always waive the fee if you can show them that you ate at the restaurant or something like that. sexy_xandrea
S14 The theme park that you are looking for is after Residence Inn mini zoo that simply_miss is telling you. It is bordering Batangas and Tagaytay. You can see it at the left side if you are going to Nasugbu. But is it operational? I thought it's closed. Quote Link to comment

Oculist
S14 Glad to help. Yes, it's still operational, but sorry I haven't been inside, I just pass it when I need a shortcut to Lemery, Batangas(without passing Nasugbu,Tuy,Balayan and Calaca) which is where that road passing Laurel will take you, so if you reach that(the junction down in Lemery), you missed it . ....I'm pretty sure you won't miss it, as that Castle is huge. allanon
Is there actually anything to do there? Seems the past few times I've passed, there are always maybe 5 cars at most parked outside. Always thought it had not yet been finished or was never finished. S14 Glad to help. elbaron1914
tagaytay has a number of good resort / hotels to stay.. but i do suggest for you guys to try out la estancia.. the rooms are the native type.. it is called "cabana" in filipino, made up of pawid, rattan, and so on..the rooms are situated overlooking taal volcano. each room has its own "terrace" for viewing. there's a sliding door to the terrace which you could open therefore you can stay in bed while viewing the volcano. you need not worry on privacy, no one can view you when you open the sliding door because of the steep slopes. heavenly especially during mornings where you can see clouds heading your direction. making love with a good view is truly majestic!
