north13
lahat halos ng fastfood chains sa sgpore eh libre na wifi.all you have to do is order one set meal. yung iba ngang locals eh simple lang sa sidewhile using free wifi. in most residential areas may makukuha ka rin wifi signal. just turn on the wireless LAN of your laptop. if ure luckierit even offers speed faster than dial up sa pinas. johnlove
i agree that singapore doesnt have beautiful beaches.the best it has is the one in sentosa which is man-made.the country is small thus you have limited tourist sights but have pockets of attractions that foreginers find appealing and enjoyable.i hope once the marina and sentosa integrated resorts (IR) are complete, you'll be able to visit singapore again. Singapore is about man made attractions and shopping. Check out their rivers & beaches and you might get the impression that the city is clean because they washed all the dirt into the waterways. I hope 10 years from now, Boracay would not end up like Singapore, clean city but almost no marine life. Quote Link to comment
UNDergroundX
Spent 7 years in Singapore. All I can say is that, you need to try Curry Puff and Shrimp Noodles and Laksa in KATONG! Quote Link to comment

kenshin11
I like the chili and pepper crab in Newton's hawker market. They are big as above one kilo and very fresh. While savoring crab, also try the barbeque Stingray. Quote Link to comment

Brady2Moss
so has anyone tried the "Singapore Eye" ? The big ferris wheel at Marina? It's called the "Singapore Flyer", and it's boring as hell. Better try the reverse bungee, wayyyy better than the flyer... In case you're travelling to SG, check out the SG/My thread, and just post away any questions you want to ask. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

hajime
Are the warranties for electronics bought in Singapore honored in the Philippines? Also would a cellphone bought there be compatible here? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
johnlove
If it with international warranty, then it is covered in the Philippines. If it comes with shop warranty, which is normally cheaper, the warranty is only honored at that particular shop. I had used my old Philippine bought cellphone at Singapore using their sim with no problems. I think the GSM system at Singapore is the same as ours. Quote Link to comment
