  1. Honestly, gusto kong matalo si Manny kahapon.....nayayabangan na kasi talaga ako sa kanya....kaya for a while i thought, a loss would not be the end of the road for him but rather to give him a humbling experience of sorts para naman makapagreflect sya sa mga pinaggagagawa nya......pero syempre nanalo ang mokong.

It only proves na talagang magaling si Manny. Either that or may anting-anting lang sya. Congrats.

  2. Mr. Holland's Opus is a 1995 drama film in which Richard Dreyfuss plays Glenn Holland, a musician and composer who takes a teaching job to pay the rent while, in his 'spare time', he can strive to achieve his true goal: to compose one memorable piece of music to leave his mark on the world. As Holland discovers 'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans' and as the years unfold the joy of sharing his contagious passion for music with his students becomes his new definition of success.

The film features an orchestral score by Michael Kamen and many pieces of classical music. Kamen also wrote An American Symphony, the work Mr. Holland is shown working on throughout the movie.

The movie was written by Patrick Sheane Duncan (for which he received a Golden Globe nomination) and directed by Stephen Herek. Dreyfuss was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe. It also stars Glenne Headly, Jay Thomas, Olympia Dukakis, William H. Macy, Alicia Witt, Terrence Howard, Jean Louisa Kelly, and Joanna Gleason.

This movie was rated PG, for mild language (including cursing in American Sign Language) by the MPAA.

  3. Citizen Kaneis a 1941 mystery/drama film released by RKO Pictures and directed by Orson Welles, his first feature film. It tells the fictional story of Charles Foster Kane, a man whose fight for power in the publishing world transformed from sheer thrill-seeking to ruthless war mongering. The story is told principally through flashbacks, following a reporter as he seeks to find what Kane meant by his dying word "Rosebud."

Citizen Kane is often cited as being one of the most innovative works in the history of film, and in 1998 the American Film Institute placed it at number one in its list of the 100 greatest U.S. movies of all time.

The film's main character, Kane, is a composite of several historical individuals: newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, the reclusive aerospace and movie mogul Howard Hughes and the Chicago utilities magnate Samuel Insull. Upon its release, Hearst's newspapers viciously attacked it.

How good is this movie? Don't die without seeing it.

  4. A Guide to Recognizing your saints is a coming-of-age drama about a boy growing up in Astoria, N.Y., during the 1980s. As his friends end up dead, on drugs or in prison, he comes to believe he has been saved from their fate by various so-called saints. Stars

Dianne Wiest, Robert Downey Jr, Shia LaBeouf ,Melonie Diaz,Rosario Dawson, Eric Roberts & Channing Tatum.....IMHO, this was one of the really good films to come out last year. Channing Tatum was unforgettable in his tragic role as an Italian tough guy....too bad the oscars failed to see this excellent work of art.

October Sky is a 1999 movie based on the book Rocket Boys by Homer Hickam. The book was later re-released with the name October Sky in order to capitalize on interest in the movie. Interestingly, "October Sky" is an anagram of "Rocket Boys," although whether this is intentional or not is unclear.

The book is based on Hickam's real childhood; however Lewis Colick, who was responsible for adapting the story to the screen, took creative license in his final draft.

The story deals with four friends struggling to find their place in the world while being smothered by the overwhelming presence of the coal mine in their town of Coalwood, West Virginia. Another major theme is Homer's ongoing desire for his father's approval.

The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Cooper, Laura Dern, Chris Owen, William Lee Scott, Chad Lindberg, and Natalie Canerday. Noted photographer O. Winston Link has a cameo as a railroad engineer.

Set in the state of West Virginia, the film was actually shot at Petros, Oliver Springs, Oak Ridge, Harriman, and Knoxville, Tennessee. The coal mine used in the film was an actual coal mine located in Petros which had long since closed. The steam locomotive (Southern Railway 4501) used in the film was a loan from the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

The film is complemented with a musical score by Mark Isham

  5. Cannibal Holocaust is a film about....well cannibals in South America.....This was the first film that made me not want to eat anything for 2 days....totally disturbing.

Beerfest is a 2006 beer-themed comedy film by the comedy group Broken Lizard. Along with the regular members of Broken Lizard, other actors who appear in the movie include Jürgen Prochnow, Blanchard Ryan, Will Forte, Eric Christian Olsen, Donald Sutherland, and Cloris Leachman.

Beerfest was filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I don't understand why this wasn't shown in the Phil....Totally hilarious.

  7. Azumi (あずみ) is a manga (Japanese comic) series created by Yu Koyama. It concerns the title character, a young woman brought up as part of a team of assassins, charged with killing three warlords that threaten Feudal Japan with an agenda of war and bloodshed.

Azumi was adapted into a popular and extremely violent action film by Ryuhei Kitamura in 2003. A sequel, Azumi 2: Death or Love, directed by Shusuke Kaneko, followed in 2005.

The movie was produced by Mataichiro Yamamoto, and has been distributed to the US by his company, Urban Vision Entertainment, on their label AsiaVision. The film was given a limited nationwide theatrical release beginning in July 2006 with a DVD released November 21, 2006. Azumi has been broadcast on television in the UK, on the Film4 channel.

  8. Black Orpheus (Orfeu Negro in Portuguese) is a 1959 film made in Brazil by French director Marcel Camus. It is based on the play Orfeu da Conceição by Brazilian poet Vinicius de Moraes, which is an adaptation of the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, setting it in the modern context of Rio de Janeiro during the Carnival. The film was an international co-production between production companies in Brazil, France and Italy.

The film is particularly renowned for its soundtrack by bossa nova legend Antonio Carlos Jobim, featuring songs such as "Manhã de Carnaval" (written by Luiz Bonfá) and "A felicidade" that were to become Bossa nova classics.

Black Orpheus won the Palme d'Or at the 1959 Cannes Film Festival as well as the 1960 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the 1960 Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film (in those awards the film was credited as a French production; only in the 1961 BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Language Film, was Brazil credited together with France and Italy).

In 1999, the film was essentially remade as Orfeu by Carlos Diegues, this time with a soundtrack featuring contemporary Brazilian pop singer-songwriter Caetano Veloso.

  9. Trainspotting is a 1996 Academy Award nominated, BAFTA winning cult film directed by Danny Boyle based on the novel Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. The movie is about a group of heroin addicts in Edinburgh and their passage through life. It stars Ewan McGregor as Mark Renton, Ewen Bremner as Spud, Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy, Kevin McKidd as Tommy, Robert Carlyle as Begbie and Kelly Macdonald as Dianne. Author Irvine Welsh also has a brief appearance as hapless drug dealer Mikey Forrester.

The screenplay was adapted from Welsh's novel by John Hodge. It does not contain any references to the non-drug-related hobby of train spotting. The title is a reference to an episode in the original book (not included in the film) where Begbie and Renton meet "an auld drunkard" in the disused Leith Central railway station, which they are visiting to use as a toilet. He asks them (in a weak attempt at a joke) if they are "trainspottin'". As they walk away, Renton realizes the drunk was Begbie's father (p309, Minerva edition).

Its release sparked controversy in some countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, as to whether it promoted drug use or not. U.S. Senator Bob Dole decried its moral depravity and glorification of drug use during the 1996 U.S. presidential campaign, although he later admitted that he had not actually seen the film. This echoed sentiments Dole had made three years earlier, attacking Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers while lauding more mainstream films like James Cameron's True Lies as being more "family friendly". Despite the controversy, it was praised as an inventive, highly effective film and received a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay in that year's Academy Awards. In 1999 the film came 10th in a BFI poll of British films, while in 2004 the magazine Total Film named it the 4th greatest British film of all time.

The film's release was supported by an imaginative marketing campaign using flyers inspired by rave culture and posters of each of the main actors. Owing to illness, Kevin McKidd went on holiday having finished shooting for the film and did not attend the photoshoot for the posters.

Stand and Deliver is a 1988 film dramatizing the work of Jaime Escalante, a dedicated high school mathematics teacher.

In the film, he helped 18 Hispanic students (of mixed backgrounds) at Garfield Senior High School (located in the East Los Angeles area of Los Angeles County, California) to learn calculus well enough to pass the Advanced Placement Calculus Exam, even though originally many of them struggled with such elementary principles as multiplication and fractions.

Edward James Olmos starred as Escalante, a role for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Lou Diamond Phillips, Vanessa Marquez, Karla Montana, Rosanna DeSoto, and Carmen Argenziano co-starred.

The movie ranked #86 in AFI's 100 Years... 100 Cheers.

Edward James Olmos went through a hair thinning process and gained an estimated 40 pounds for the role of Jaime Escalante.

  10. Silence of the Heart is a 1984 TV movie on Teen suicide. Troubled teen Skip Lewis (a strong and moving performance by Chad Lowe), depressed about getting bad grades on his SATs and being rejected by a hot girl (the gorgeous Alexandra Powers) he's got a crush on, commits suicide by driving his car off a cliff. His confused parents and friends try to figure out why he killed himself and attempt to come to terms with the sudden severe loss they feel they could have possibly prevented. This gripping and touching film tackles the explosive and pertinent subject of teenage suicide in an admirably tasteful and restrained manner; it's this subtle presentation of a delicate subject and the thankful complete lack of sappy melodrama which in turn makes this picture so strikingly effective and heart-wrenching. Ably directed with laudable tact and sensitivity by Richard Michaels, with a thoughtful and insightful script by Phil Penningworth, sharp, polished cinematography by Isidore Mankofsky, a moody, melancholy by Georges Delerue, and exceptionally affecting acting by a first-rate cast which includes Mariette Hartley as Skip's loving, exuberant mother Barbara, Dana Hill as Skip's compassionate sister Cindy, Howard Hesseman as Skip's sturdy denialist workaholic dad Carl, Charlie Sheen as Skip's loyal best friend Ken, and Elizabeth Berridge as Skip's sweet gal pal Penny, this remarkably poignant and powerful made-for-TV knockout is well worth watching.

On a personal note....this is one of the most moving TV movies i have ever seen.....ever. I had even written a song based on this film.

  11. Malèna is a 2000 Italian drama/romance film starring Monica Bellucci and Giuseppe Sulfaro. It was directed and written by Giuseppe Tornatore from a story by Luciano Vincenzoni.

Criticised for its depiction of teenage sexuality, as well as the paucity of dialogue, Malèna was successful in Europe, but the movie itself was altered by its North American distribution company Fine Line Features, and several scenes were cut. The film did poorly in few United States movie theatres, despite good reviews. As of 2005, only the edited version is available for commercial purchase on DVD in North America.

The film nonetheless is credited with officially introducing Anglophone audiences to Italian actress Bellucci (whose career had previously been limited to European films), who went on to make a number of high-profile American film appearances.

The score by Ennio Morricone was nominated for an Academy Award.

Boogie Nights is a 1997 film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, William H. Macy, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly and Heather Graham.

The film follows a young porn star as he enters the pornographic film industry in the late 1970s in California, and deals with the highs and lows of success into the 1980s. It also follows several other characters involved in the industry, and their downfalls.

    1. TMNT - nice movie....masyado lang talagang bitin....parang nanood lang ako ng cartoons na may 3 part episode....pero maganda sya

    2. Music and Lyrics - natuwa ako sa palabas na ito....ang kulit ng pakembot kembot ni Hugh Grant pagnagpeperform....naalala ko tuloy si Manny Villar  as expected Drew Barrymore is just hot.

    3. Turistas - honestly, ok naman sya eh...ewan ko lang sa iba pero more of suspense sya rather than a slasher film...pero medyo offensive nga talaga kung brazilian ka kasi talagang minemention nung film explicitly yung downside ng kanilang economy.

    4. Reign over me - Best acting from Adam Sandler...EVER!!! Sayang hinabol sana toh sa Oscar....taena may laban toh.....nagka goosebumps ako sa role nya.....excellent performance din from Don Cheadle...one of his best works IMHO.....the movie will move you on how a person changes when in isolation...grabe talaga.....i forgot Sandler was a comedian.....clearly his most prolific acting to date. Too bad, his name will be forgotten come awards season.....but nevertheless, this is my number 2 best film of 2007 after 300......this is a really nice movie.....drama-wise.

    5. Inconvenient Truth - Now i know why it got an Oscar.....and it completely changed the way i looked at Al Gore.....no wonder millions look up to him....he is like the Gandhi of Environmental Protection. Very comprehensive presentation.....clearly it was succesful at conveying a scientific study to a layman.

    6. Flags of our Father - hindi ko sya masyadong naappreciate....andami kasing flashback e.....nakakahilo.....pero pwede na rin lalo na pagnapanuod mo na ang letters from Iwo Jima....which is a magnificent film if you ask me.

  13. WWE WrestleMania 23 Results

WWE WrestleMania 23: Money In The Bank Ladder MatchParticipants: Jeff Hardy, King Booker, Finlay, CM Punk, Kennedy, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, Edge

Edge is the last to the ring; moments after his entrance, the wrestlers go at it. Most of the wrestlers end up on the outside; Finlay goes up top and jumps on all of them. Meanwhile, Edge brings a ladder into the ring and tries to go for the briefcase. Matt Hardy thwarts his attempt.

The action moves forward, and Jeff Hardy starts climbing up the ladder, but Kennedy knocks him off. On the outside, CM Punk is using a step ladder to take it to King Booker and Jeff Hardy, but Edge stops him.

Inside the ring, King Booker goes at it with Matt Hardy. He tosses Hardy to the outside, then disposes of Kennedy, CM Punk and Finlay. He throws in a spinneroonie, but the Hardys take him out with a pair of ladders. Edge knocks Jeff Hardy down, but Matt slams Edge to the mat.

Matt Hardy tries to set Edge up on the ladder for a Jeff Hardy aerial strike, but Finlay knocks Jeff off the top and to the outside. As the action progresses, Kennedy sets Matt Hardy up on a ladder and goes for a Kenton. He misses, hits the ladder, and then falls victim to a swanton from Jeff Hardy. The Hardys collectively use the ladders take out their opposition, and then simultaneously climb for the briefcase. As they get to the top, they start going at it. While stalled, Finlay knocks the ladder over and sends them flying.

Finlay knocks CM Punk and Booker down, but Edge spears him. He then spears Randy Orton. Then Booker. Then Kennedy. Then Matt Hardy. Then Jeff Hardy. He goes for one on CM Punk, but Punk dodges the attack and Edge's shoulder hits the post. CM Punk does the spinning ladder spot to knock some guys down, but Edge eventually spears him (and the ladder is knocked into the faces of Finlay and Orton).

Edge sets up the ladder and goes for the briefcase, but Orton pushes the ladder over and sends Edge to the outside. Jeff Hardy then comes in and suplexes Randy Orton.

Jeff Hardy has the ring to himself, but instead of going for the briefcase, he pulls off an incredible spot—he climbs up the ladder, and then jumps to the outside, landing on Edge (who Matt Hardy set up horizontally on the ladder, which he propped up between the ring and the security rail). The ladder snaps in half under Edge; both men appear out cold, and the stretcher is brought down for Edge.

Inside the ring, Randy Orton connects with a series of RKOs. He sets up a ladder for his ascent to the top, but before he can climb, CM Punk attacks him with a ladder and makes his own climb to the top. But, before he can grab the briefcase, Orton climbs up and connects with an RKO.

King Booker then tries climbing up the ladder. Orton gets up and tries for another RKO, but Booker counters and lands a Book End off the ladder.

Booker goes back up, but Matt Hardy's also there and fights Booker from the ladder. Sharmell comes in and pulls Hardy down, but Hardy grabs her and threatens to execute a Twist of Fate on her—Booker is forced to abandon his attempt for the briefcase and come to her aid. As he does so, Hardy counters and sends him out of the ring.

Hardy goes back up for the briefcase, but Finlay comes in and knocks Matt Hardy off. He then scores a Celtic Cross, dropping Hardy's back onto another ladder that's positioned in the ring.

The Little Bastard comes and tries to climb up the ladder to win the belt for Finlay, but Kennedy arrives before he can get up to the top. The Bastard punches Kennedy a few times, but Kennedy picks him up and slams him from the top of the ladder.

As Kennedy gets up, Finlay slams a ladder into Kennedy's face. He sets up for another climb to the top, but CM Punk gets there before he can make it for the prize. CM Punk then climbs up the ladder, but before he can grab the briefcase, Kennedy returns to his senses and fights Punk at the top. Punk knocks Kennedy off the top, but Kennedy comes right back and drives another ladder into Punk's face, knocking the ECW wrestler off before he can grab the case.

Kennedy then climbs up and grabs the briefase, winning the match and scoring himself a guaranteed title shot.

    Winner: Mr. Kennedy

WWE WrestleMania 23: Kane vs. The Great Khali

The two start going at it in the middle of the ring. Kane gets some offense in, but Khali counters by tossing Kane to the outside. Kane, upon returning to the ring, fails to knock Khali down with a clothesline. Khali, however, has no problem knocking Kane down with a clothesline of his own.

He bodyslams Kane and then goes to work on the back of the downed Kane's neck.

Khali forces Kane into the counter and goes to work with some chokes, but Kane eventually counters and strikes away at the bigger opponent.

Kane attacks Khali from off the top rope, but it doesn't do much. He then kicks Khali, and Khali falls back, getting trapped in the top and middle rope. Kane uses it to his advantage, but the referee eventually allows Khali out of the trap.

Kane brings a chain with a hook into the ring, but Khali knocks him down before he can use it.

Eventually, Kane is able to bodyslam his opponent, but it only works for a two-count. He scouts Khali for a chokeslam. He gets his hand around Khali's neck, but Khali isn't quite ready to go down. He turns things around and connects with a chokeslam of his own.

    Khali gets the three-count.

    Winner: The Great Khali

Cryme Tyme presents Eugene with a dance from Extreme Expose to cheer him up, but he's not interested until Moolah and Mae show up to dance. Slick then joins in; Dusty Rhodes, IRS, Jimmy Hart, Ricky Steamboat and Sgt. Slaughter also take part. Ron Simmons says "damn" in response to the little dance party.

WWE WrestleMania 23: Chris Benoit vs. MVP

    United States Championship

Benoit and MVP lock up in the center of the ring. Benoit gets a leglock around MVP's head right off the bat, but MVP counters and gets some holds of his own.

MVP comes off the ropes and knocks Benoit to the mat. He then blocks a German Suplex attempt, before throwing Benoit to the outside.

Benoit comes back in the ring and tries for a crossface,

They trade back and forth in the ring; Benoit soon sets MVP up atop the ropes. He nails MVP with some chops to the chest, and then sets up for a superplex. MVP does a great job of countering, and eventually escapes Benoit's hold and jumps to the outside. He comes back in and goes to work on Benoit.

Benoit eventually takes control of MVP for a series of three German suplexes. MVP turns things around and superplexes Benoit off the top rope, but Benoit counters on the landing and almost gets a pinfall victory.

Upon kicking out, MVP is right back in control. He suplexes Benoit for a two-count.

Despite MVP's offense, Benoit grabs his opponent and almost gets a crossface attempt. He couldn't lock the hold in, however, and MVP regains his control of the action. He bodyslams Benoit.

Benoit sets MVP up for some more German suplexes, but MVP blocks the final attempt. MVP tries for his own suplexes, but Benoit counters and sets MVP up for three more.

Benoit goes upstairs and then connects with a headbutt from the top. He gets the three count for a victory.

    Winner: Chris Benoit

Donald Trump is backstage with former Miss USA Tara Conner. The Boogeyman shows up; Tara freaks out, but Donald Trump no-sells The Boogeyman and asks him to get him a sandwich.

Lillian Garcia announces the attendance at 80,103.

Howard Finkel introduced the 2007 WWE Hall Of Fame class to the live crowd.

WWE WrestleMania 23: Batista vs. The Undertaker

    World Heavyweight Championship

Batista came out first; Undertaker followed with an elaborate and very lengthy entrance.

They go right at it as the bell rings. Undertaker and Batista trade blows in the corner; Batista overpowers Undertaker and nails him with some knees, he then follows up with a big clothesline, followed by another that sends Taker to the outside. But Taker lands on his feet and pulls Batista out.

Batista continues his aggressive streak and goes right to work on Undertaker, slamming his head onto the rail and apron.

Batista whips Undertaker into the steel steps; Taker goes flying.

The Animal continues his offense as Taker returns to the ring. He scores with an attack from off the top rope, and then hits a big clothesline for a two-count.

He bodyslams Undertaker following some more right hands to the face, but Taker returns to his feet with some counterblows. He starts throwing hands with Batista, and then clotheslines the Champion into the corner.

Undertaker scores with a big boot and then a legdrop. Two count on Batista. He goes wild with offense, scoring off the top rope and then setting up for a chokeslam.

Batista, however, refuses to go up and rips Taker's hand from his throat. He strikes Undertaker to the stomach and breaks free, but Taker comes right back with a flying clothesline.

The action spills to the outside and Taker slams Batista's face on the steps. He then sets Batista up on the apron and attacks the Champion's face.

With Batista still lying on the apron, Undertaker scores a legdrop. Batista falls to the mat outside the ring.

Undertaker continues his dominance outside. He slams Batista off the security barricade and then fires with some hard punches.

As Undertaker continues his onslaught, Batista counters and whips Undertaker through the bell table.

Batista goes to work with some hard ground-and-pound; the crowd's booing Batista's offense.

The Animal destroys much of the broadcast area as he sets Undertaker up on one of the announce tables. He fires some shots on Undertaker, lifts him up, and powerslams him through the adjacent announce table.

Batista brings Undertaker to the center of the ring for a pin, but he can't get the three count.

He gets another nearfall with a bodyslam. He then sets Undertaker up in the corner and goes for the ten punches, clearly showing signs of fatigue. But, before he can get to ten, Undertaker gets a Last Ride. He covers Batista up. Two-count.

Batista connects with a spinebuster, but Undertaker gets up very quickly. He chokeslams Batista. Two-count.

Undertaker goes for a tombstone, but Batista slides off Taker's back and connects with a spear. He sets Undertaker up for the Batista Bomb and gets it. As Michael Cole screams, "The streak is over," Undertaker kicks out at the last second.

Batista sets up for a second Batista Bomb, but Undertaker counters and tosses Batista over his head. Batista tries for a Tombstone, but Undertaker gets out of it, and then sets Batista up for his own Tombstone. He connects with it and wins the World Heavyweight Championship.

    Winner: The Undertaker

Stephanie McMahon, who was with her daughter, came into Vince McMahon's office. McMahon talked to the baby and, in a very creepy "cute" voice, talked about how he's going to bash Donald Trump's head in.

The segment ended with the baby taking a "trump," as Vince put it, leading to a smell in the room.

WWE WrestleMania 23: The ECW Originals vs. The New Breed

Matt Striker and Sabu start off in the ring. Sabu takes care of Striker, doing some damage from off the ropes. He gets a one-count, and then kicks Striker in the head.

Sabu then sets Striker up on the rope, before tagging Sandman in. Sandman does a legdrop on Striker.

Striker manages to tag Elijah Burke in; Sandman brings Tommy Dreamer into the mix. The New Breed corner attacks Dreamer as he runs off the ropes; Burke brings Cor Von into the ring.

Cor Von connects with some offense and then tags Burke back inn. He and Burke team up for a backdrop. Burke then drives his knee into Dreamer's back.

Burke tags Kevin Thorn in; Thorn goes to work on Dreamer.

Thorn goes to work on Dreamer, but Sabu interferes to prevent him from getting a three-count. Thorn tags Cor Von back in, and he adds to the assault on Dreamer.

Cor Von puts Dreamer in a chinlock, and then strikes Dreamer as he tries to work out. Cor Von tags Elijah Burke in, but Tommy Dreamer scores a combination DDT/neckbreaker on both men. He brings Rob Van Dam in for a hot tag, and RVD goes to work on the newly-brought-in Matt Striker. RVD jumps off the top rope to attack Kevin Thorn, he follows up with a monkey flip on Striker.

As Rob Van Dam goes to work on Striker, Cor Von pulls RVD to the outside. Dreamer goes to work on Striker in the ring, but Elijah Burke comes in to help his partner. Sandman disposes of Burke.

Rob Van Dam goes up for a Five Star Frog Splash; he connects on Striker, and then gets the pinfall victory.

    Winners: The ECW Originals

WWE WrestleMania 23: Battle of the Billionaires

Bobby Lashley (representing Donald Trump) vs. Umaga (representing Vince McMahon)

A barber's station rolls down to the ring.

The current Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA are at ringside—they boo Vince McMahon as he comes down to the ring.

Umaga, with Estrada, then makes his way down.

Donald Trump, escorted to the ring by Tara Conner, comes down to the ring as money falls from the ceiling. His entrance could not be less enthusiastic.

Lashley made his way to ringside; Steve Austin followed.

The action starts, and Lashley goes right to Umaga. Austin tries to break Lashley's offense in the corner, but Lashley's furious.

Lashley gets a nearfall; broken as Estrada puts Umaga's leg on the ropes. Lashley, furious, pulls Estrada into the ring and issues a powerslam. He then tosses Estrada to the outside.

Umaga, from behind, tries to attack Lashley, but Lashley ducks and Umaga goes flying to the outside.

The action comes back inside, and Umaga's dominating Lashley.

Umaga's offense includes some bodydrops from off the middle rope. He then hits a Samoan drop on Lashley, before delivering a kick to Lashley's midsection.

Umaga brings Lashley to his feet, and Lashley tries to counter with a bodyslam, but he falls backwards and Umaga ends up with a nearfall. Vince McMahon gets on the apron, but he gets knocked to the floor when Lashley runs into the ropes.

Umaga's still in control inside, but as he goes up to the top rope, Lashley presses Umaga from off the top rope.

Both men are down - but before Austin can get to ten, he stops counting. He decides he's not going to call for a countout.

Shane hits the ringside area to check on Vince.

They finally get back up, and Umaga's going to work on Lashley in the corner. Austin pulls Umaga off to break the hold; he hooks Umaga's eye in the process. An angry Umaga drops Austin with a Samoan spike.

Umaga and Shane McMahon then doubleteam Lashley inside the ring, since there's no referee to stop them.

Shane McMahon sets up a garbage can on Lashley for the Van Terminator; he connects, driving the garbage can into Lashley's face.

McMahon then pulls his shirt off to reveal a referee uniform underneath. Umaga hits Lashley from off the top rope, but before Shane can count to three, Austin pulls Shane from the ring.

Austin re-enters the ring, but Umaga's waiting for him with another strike. McMahon taunts the downed Austin, but Trump suddenly comes from behind and tackles McMahon.

Austin gets up, dodges another Umaga attack, and delivers the stunner. Lashley connects with a spear and gets the three count for a victory. (Note: They actually rang the bell slightly before Austin counted three).

Winner: Lashley (Donald Trump's representative). Vince McMahon will be shaved bald.Austin brings Vince McMahon into the ring to begin the shaving process. Shane McMahon, out of desperation, attacks Austin, but Austin fights back and delivers a stunner.

During the distraction, however, Vince McMahon escapes from ringside and tries to make his way up the ramp. Bobby Lashley chases and retrieves McMahon. He throws McMahon back into the ring, where Steve Austin is waiting with a Stone Cold Stunner. He and Lashley then strap Vince McMahon to the chair as Donald Trump grabs the razor.

Lashley also takes a razor, and the two begin shaving the WWE Chairman bald. McMahon begs them to stop shaving, but they refuse. They then cover McMahon's head in shaving cream as they work for the closer shave.

Vince McMahon cries as Lashley lets him free from the barber's chair. McMahon freaks out when Lashley introduces the WWE Chairman to his reflection in the mirror.

While celebrating in the middle of the ring with beer, Steve Austin delivers a stunner to Donald Trump. Trump, who's been extremely unenthusiastic, did a horrible job of selling the movie.

Footage from the pre-show match, a lumberjack featuring Ric Flair & Carlito against Chavo Guerrero and Gregory Helms, aired. Flair and Carlito won.

WWE WrestleMania 23: Melina vs. Ashley

Women's Championship Lumberjill MatchThe WWE Diva Lumberjills made their way to the ring, followed by Ashley and then Melina.

Ashley starts off with some aggression; Melina tries to roll outside, but the Lumberjills send her right back.

    Ashley gets a two-count.

Melina tosses Ashley right into the ropes and then forces Ashley into the corner. But Ashley counters with some corner offense of her own. Melina reverses it, however, and then chokes Ashley on the rope. She drops Ashley in the center of the ring for a one-count.

Melina controls the early action, but Ashley counters an attempted move off the ropes and then whips Melina into the corner. She follows up with an awful monkey flip, but she fails on an attempt from the top rope (Melina rolled out of the way).

Melina gets a near-fall. Ashley comes after Melina and goes for a pin, but Melina reverses it, while holding the tights, and gets the win.

    Winner: Melina

Ashley knocks Melina down; the other Divas then come into the ring and engage in a catfight before stopping and collectively waving goodbye to Melina, who leaves with Trinity and Jillian.

WWE WrestleMania 23: John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels

WWE ChampionshipShawn Michaels enters first; Cena follows after arriving in a Ford Mustang that video footage showed speeding through the streets of Detroit and into the Ford Field parking lot; he drove the car through a glass WrestleMania sign at the side of the stage to enter the arena.

    And, we're off!

Shawn Michaels slaps Cena at the onset, and he follows with a big chop to Cena's midsection.

Cena gets up, but he ends up in a Michaels hold. Cena counters and goes for a suplex, but Michaels dodges it and hammers Cena with some punches and a chop.

They lock up yet again, and it once again falls in Shawn Michaels' favor. He cranks Cena's arm as he lays some offense onto Cena's shoulder. He then tosses Cena to the mat and works a side headlock.

Cena eventually works his way to his feet, and then uses the ropes to force himself out of the hold. He follows up with a big clothesline on Michaels.

The crowd gets behind Michaels as he connects with a Lou Thesz press and pounds away on Cena. Cena, however, gets back up and almost tosses HBK to the outside. HBK stands on the apron, and after some striking, hip tosses Cena over the ropes and to the outside mat.

Michaels works on the outside, then uses the ropes to hit a springboard moonsault to the outside, landing on Cena and driving him into the announce table (not through the table).

The action comes back into the ring. HBK hits Cena with a hard chop to the chest; he follows with a hard right hand to the cornered Cena. Another chop.

The crowd dynamic is weird; it boos everytime Cena gets some offense, but it's not entirely behind HBK's offense either.

HBK continues the assault inside the ring. He focuses on Cena's left knee, causing the Champion to scream in pain. He slams the knee into the steel ring post.

HBK's offense on Cena continues. Cena tries to fight back, but the challenger's attack is too overwhelming.

Cena finally throws enough to get an even back-and-forth exchange with Michaels, and his right hand knocks Michaels to the mat. But Michaels comes right back and shoulder blocks Cena back into the turnbuckle.

Cena's now fighting back, but it's not enough to turn the tables. HBK is still in control.

Then, in a repeat of the spot from two minutes earlier, Cena dodges HBK's shoulder block, and HBK's face goes right into the ring post. Michaels is busted open, but thanks to HBK's attack, Cena's leg is far from one hundred percent.

Cena knocks Michaels to the mat and delivers some ground-and-pound. He continues his offense with a shoulder block and then a suplex. The crowd isn't into Cena's offense, but Cena feels he's near a victory. The five knuckle shuffle connects.

John Cena sets Michaels up for an FU, but Michaels wiggles out of it. Michaels then attempts a superkick on Cena, but Cena ducks, causing Michaels' foot to go straight into the face of the referee.

Cena goes for another FU; this time, HBK counters by turning it into a DDT. Both men are out on the mat, but it appears HBK is going to be the first up.

With the ref out cold, Michaels brings Cena to the outside and connects with a spike piledriver to the steel steps. He brings Cena back into the ring.

As Michaels goes for the cover, a second referee makes his way down to the ring. But, he's too late—Michaels only gets a two count.

Inside the ring, a bloody Shawn Michaels takes control of the action—he scores his flying elbow drop on the downed Champion. He calls for Sweet Chin Music, and is now merely waiting for John Cena to get back up.

But, upon returning to his feet, Cena charges Michaels and connects with a flying clothesline. Both men are lying flat on their backs.

They both get up and begin trading punches. Cena grabs HBK for another FU attempt, but HBK rolls off and almost pins Cena for a three-count.

They run off the ropes, and this time, Cena gets an FU. But, he's too winded to make the immediate cover on Michaels.

He eventually rolls towards Michaels, but it's only, predictably, good for two.

Cena sets HBK up on the top rope and considers a super FU, but Michaels works his way out with some elbows. Michaels flies off the rop ropes for a crossbody on Michaels, but Cena catches him and sets up for another FU. Michaels gets out of it, but then misses on a superkick attempt. Cena tries to turn it into a STFU, but Michaels won't have it. Great exchange, but it doesn't lead to a pinfall.

They get up, and Cena grabs Michaels' leg and sets up the STFU. He has it in for a little while, but Michaels eventually grabs the ropes. The referee and Cena argue about breaking the hold; Michaels takes advantage of the distraction and nails Cena with a superkick. He stalls before mamking the cover, and it's only good enough for a two-count.

Both men get up just a half-second before the referee can call for the double countout. Upon getting to their feet, Cena goes for yet another FU, Michaels gets out of it, but Cena then secures an STFU in the very center of the ring. Michaels, with no other option, taps.

    Winner: John Cena
