Little Miss Sunshine has got to be one of the better movies to have come in a long long time.

Pwede bang palitan ang National Anthem....masyadong gloomy...kaya tuloy bansa natin always gloomy.....

Perhaps a graded increase in taxes? 50% for the first vehicle, 100% for the second, 200% for the third, 400% for the fourth, etc. etc.? Just for comparison, our current taxes on vehicles is somewhere between 100% to 200% at this time. This way, 'poorer' people can afford one or two cars, but after that ... it becomes progressively more expensive.

Fair enough.

Killing yourself is a crime right? ….but when I posted that, I was more geared to alcohol induced incidents that result in death.

A vehicle is a vehicle is a vehicle. Its main purpose is to take people from point a to point b.

The jeepney is our nation's symbol of transportation. No way another company is going to produce that…..so I don't see much of a problem with that……now if a Filipino company makes a car like a sedan or a 4wd, id see to eat that his company and his products be prioritized…..as long as it passes government tests on safety.

So ok here's what i think of Evan Almighty.......Don't go see the movie expecting so much....you might get disappointed....that being said, the movie is still enjoyable to watch.....it's just that i don't see the logic why people still mock him even though 100+ animal are watching him build the ark and for pete's sake, lions are even guarding the work site.....even when he shaves his beard and it still freaking grows.....i mean its just too obvious.....

The problem with the movie is that it lacks comedy....it's supposed to be a comedy.....if there ever was comedy, its just a glitter....or glitters.....then again, its a Steve Carell movie so eventually, you will enjoy seeing this one....despite its flaws.

Yeah I like that show too eventho Freddie's kinda over acting at times....

I can see that too....good thing he has a great supporting cast to coverup his weaknesses.

I like the show.....I thought it was a good concept to evolve the entire show on who will be Mrs. Ted......I'm not really high on Robin....but that Wedding girl/Cake maker was hot......and that girl who had a pineapple in Ted's room was cute......Plus NPH is funny.....

Or remove vehicles that are 10 years or older from the streets and reduce the price of vehicles, that way, supposedly the new cars are more 'fuel efficient' and 'less polluting', ergo cleaner and roomier roads.

I guess so…..but thinking further I realized traffic is proportional to the number of cars on the streets. We can't do anything about the positioning of roads and highways coz' that's how its gonna be otherwise it will be costly……we can only contain the quantity of the vehicles. We reduce the numbers, we reduce traffic….numbers can't only comprise of old cars but brand new cars as well….some people just got enough money to buy more that 3 brand new cars for each of their children and it will still clog our streets….so I revert back to my original position.

I take it you ain't a smoker? Well if we are going to stop people from having the simple things that please them, we should expand it, raise the taxes equally. Although increasing the punishment for all crimes would be nice.

On the contrary, I am. I hope this would give me the opportunity to lead by example.

There have been existing laws for crimes related to these and they still don't learn….that's why I think that the best way to stop these vices is to not make them affordable.

And where are we going to get paper (of all sorts)? Recycling uses more energy than making new products, and importing the raw paper pulp is just ridiculous, controlled logging and forced replanting just may be the ticket.

I think this is an issue of what to prioritize…..With technology on the rise, I wouldn't mind having a paper crisis in my term if it would mean enough time for those trees to mature and thereby save a lot of lives in the future….Lack of paper can't take away lives…..but the lack of trees can.

So, we should ban ALL vehicle importation? After all Sarao makes vehicles locally. Oh, no more imported clothes and food since we can make those here as well. I don't see how that would work.

Hahaha….got me on that one…..Sarao is a jeepney, not a sedan or a 4wd or a muscle car…..i don't see any problem with that.

Here's the problem with colonial mentality….we got so brainwashed with imports we forgot we can make the same thing if we set our mind into it….Look at China….Taiwan….we criticize them for pirating things but guess who has the last laugh in revenues…..its them….they even went to the point that they were like almost encouraging piracy. During Marshall Law, there was a scarcity of imported goods….Apples and imported chocolates….even US canned goods were a luxury back then…..but somehow the Filipinos survived….

It's all mindset. Its' ridiculous to protest or walk down the streets just because you can't consume imported products like the way you used to.

Elizabethtown will go down as one of my favorite romance movies of all time. Stars Orlando Bloom and Kritine Dursnt.....watched it sa HBO the other day.

The problem is not with the jeepney per se but with the commuters. Commuters here tend to be lazy. People should be encouraged (or worse, forced) to walk to and from proper Bus Stops/Jeepney Stop/FX Stops.Fine the driver and the passengers who cause traffic.

 

Heck, a temporary (and cheaper) solution would be using some 2x4s and some sheets of tin to make a temporary classroom while the permanent versions are being built.

If I were a lawmaker….I need my employees to be loyal to me…..If I spoil them with benefits….they'd be too lazy to get money from other sources….they'll pass my goodwill through word of mouth. And they will be my walking advertisement for the next presidential elections. I'd be more stricter to them on corruption charges but very lenient to them on making money legally so I doubt if theyd even consider going back to their wrong ways.

I don't think so…..you can't fear something your competitors cannot make….Filipino first policy deals with Filipino products alone….for as long as there are Filipino products falling in the category….they should be given priority.

Mr Beans Holiday was hilarious!!!!!!! i don't care if it was a stupid film or if i had enough of Ronan Atkinson....but i sure was entertained .....His Opera Lipsync got me laughing so hard

Hostel 2.....i was kinda disappointed in a way.....i mean being a guy and you'd see a mutilated schlong how would you feel? :sick: .....but i sure liked the villianess in the movie.....rrrrr :evil: and yeah Heather was the first one to go.

Watching Pirates 3 the second and third time is so much better!

The movie runs three hours but personally, i don't feel much of it coz' mabilis ang phasing the story.....as in after a short dialogue scene...papasok agad yung twist or yung action sequence.....i really liked it.....you have to listen to the dialogues coz' it fills in all the loopholes/questions from Pirates 1 and 2.....the ending is a shocker for me.....the entire film is a shocker to me......who wouldve known the ***** was ******* :boo: I loved it....way way way way better than Spiderman 3!!!!

Shrek 3 was still entertaining....but it lack the WOW factor of 1 and 2......partly because of the Arthur character which i found to be very lame and cheesy and dragging.......but there were hilarious moments though (e.g...Pinnochio reasoning with Prince Charming )

Anthony Michael Hall of current "The Dead Zone" fame and previous The Breakfast Club fame has joined the cast of The Dark Knight and told The Daily News that the plot is so secret he's forbidden to even say what character he's portraying.

Today the 'campaign poster' for Harvey Dent was taken down today and replaced with an error message in red lettering stating 'Page Not Found'. However a quick highlight of the page reveals many "Ha! Ha! Ha!"'s and some random lettering placed throughout the laughter. The random letters, once slung together, reveals the message of "See You In December." While The Dark Knight isn't due to hit theaters until next summer, it is a sure possibility that we'll be seeing more of the Joker by Christmas time which could include the first trailer for the film.
