Question... can an employer include a provision in their contract that if the employee becomes pregnant or if they get diagnosed with a critical disease (diabetes, cancer, etc) then that employee can be terminated? Is that even legal?

Wow. this thread is almost dead. Nobody is posting here. I am a firm believer of insurance policies. I have 3 for myself as I would absolutely hate it if i leave the people I care about with nothing. I even got my own funeral plan just to have everything covered. I think Filipinos should all have their own policies no matter how small it is. at the end of the day, you dont want your loved ones trying to find money so they can bury you. and then begging for money just so they could live without you.

i hope this is the correct thread. how do you compute for taxes on bonuses? i thought that for bonuses and 13th month, the in excess of 30k would be taxed. but someone from our company said that since what is being given to us is not a year end bonus, then everything will be taxed?

question is, i want to get out of the contract due to a family emergency. the developer has informed me that if i opt out of the sale, i won't get whatever i paid them that it's forfeited. is it true? or is there a way i could get what i already paid them minus penalties for opting out of the contract since wala naman ako nakuhang service or product in the end?

somebody told me kasi na bawal daw ung ganun, na nagbayad ako for something i wasn't able to use. i hope somebody can clarify this for me.
