  1. L'Entrecote @ Burgos Circle. Cozy little French Swiss cafe bistro with sidewalk seating. Reproduction Miro paintings decorate the place which gives it a nice French European ambience. Classic French comfort food and steaks menu. Just the aroma emanating from the French Escargot with Garlic, Butter & Herbs will already make your day. Upscale pricing with attentive service style. Perfect place to wile your time while sipping your wine during a lazy Sunday afternoon.

  2. Yurakuen at Diamond Hotel. Sarap ng mackerel nila! Oedo sa Sto. Domingo St. sa QC mahusay din!

Sir, yun Saba ba nila ay GRILLED SABA (Salted or Teriyaki) with Lemon or Sushi/Sashimi? Been to Yurakuen for their Teppanyaki before.

Where can you get the best Saba Sashimi/Sushi in Manila? In the 70s, there was a hole in the wall Japanese restaurant in Mabini named KOTO, which served very authentic SABA Sashimi by a Japanese chef. Nowadays, very dried sliver of fishy tasting pickled saba ang mga siniserve, even by the the best Japanese restaurants.

I'll try the recommended one at YURAKUEN @ Diamond Hotel one of these days.

  3. I was disinclined to order the Beef Ribs Kare-Kare at Dusit Thani Manila Cafe. But, my German guest wanted to taste our kare-kare, so I did oblige. Surprisingly, the kare kare sauce was already tasty and savoury. They served it without the obligatory Bagoong Sauce. The Beef Ribs was fork tender and delicious. The vegetable morsels were drowning in the sauce. Overall, I wouldn't even consider it as kare-kare. T'was more a Thai twist on a Beef Ribs with Peanut Sauce.
