  1. slimmer's is s@%t. luma luma equipment n facilities. ung slimmers d2 samn 10 years n. ung mga machines n equipment kung anu ung ngopen cla. un parn gmgt ngaun. ung mga cardio nla. puro cra kaya npilitan cla bumili ng bago lst year. Equipment nla 1991 model p. ung mga bikes n threadmill cra cra p rn pero they don't change it. i feel they put more emphasis on their beauty centers. Gud thing i don't use equipment. Don't go to slimmer's kung wala k background on how to work out and get results.

     

    Saang branch ba yan? Dami ngayon bagong equipment ah? (Sa Pasay Road and Alabang).

You dont even belong in this thread when you remarks are like that cuz that lowers your level of thinking IMO in front of all the people in this forum who check out the threads here. Its like telling to the whole Philippines that you are one sicko in thinking. You dont want that trust me.

     

    Why? I don't see anything wrong with his post.. to each his own right? I actually agree with him/her.. if you're fat.. di ka dapat proud kse prone ka to sickness.. I think the apt word should be happy and contented lang.. but never proud. You should accept the stigma of being fat.. it is never nice. Makakarinig ka ba ng rave na.. "wow ang taba!" :blink:

  3. ... as for cardio, it would be counter productive if you always do long cardio, try cutting it in half and then save the long sessions for every other week.

     

    Lagot.. yan din sabi nung PT sa kin sa gym, dapat nga daw mag-weights na lang ako.. eh pano yan I really love to dance eh.. as in. :blink: Yun jogging naman.. I have to do that para lang mapilitan si hubby (tamad kse yun kse he's too busy daw.. basketball lang ang exercise nya once a week.. sometimes golf rin pero bihira yun).

     

    Yeah, build more muscles nga daw dapat. Recently pinagbibigatan ko yun weights na buhat ko, ayun kaya parang nag-numb naman upper back ko. Nag-stretching naman ako tska nagpa-massage na nga ko, mejo nabawasan naman pero parang ngawit pa rin yun feeling. Gusto ko na nga uminom ng Alaxan eh. :blink:

     

    Equus.. 3 sets lang gawa ko, 12 reps per set. Pansin ko lang pag ginawa kong sobrang intense ang workout ko, nagkaka-migraine ako.. kaya hini-hinay hinay ko lang.. afterall, sabi nga ni hubby, di naman daw ako sasali ng Miss Universe (ang galing ba mag-motivate? hehe).

     

    Guys, do you eat rice ba? How much rice do you eat in a day?

  4. Olympus, yes, I workout regularly (at least 3x a week). I do 1 hour cardio and another hour for weight training. I also jog on Sundays with my hubby. I don't look like I have kids naman (as my acquaintances put it).. but yun nga.. my dream is really to have washboard abs. :P

     

    I just do free weights (dumbells) for my arms (di ko alam mga tawag dun..hehe).. and I use several machines din for my thighs and legs. Krunches paminsan-minsan (I do bellydancing naman at least once a week).

     

    I think the problem is my diet. Once in a while, I pig-out on chocolates kse. :blink: Aargh.. hindi ko talaga kayang alisin yun eh. :P

  5. Personally, i find the ramp models way to skinny.

     

    Hehe.. Actually, this is my dream.. to be skinny. :P I guess most women's aim is to be skinny (yun ang model-like figure kse di ba).. but most men prefers the voluptuous ones. Whenever I tell him that I feel I'm fat.. he says that I'm weird for thinking that way (gusto pa nga nya tumaba pa daw ako ng konti). :rolleyes:

     

    The reason why I'm fixated on losing more weight.. I want a washboard abs kse :blink: .. being married and having numerous kids (ahem).. it's really a feat. I'm already losing hope.. pag ako nagkapera, magpapa-mesotherapy na lang siguro ako. :P

    Speaking for myself, I dont consider myself an expert pagdating sa mga workout.. but some of my friends ask me what's my workout routine and ginagaya nila.. siguro, they think my body is okey kaya gusto nila gumaya di ba? Ganun lang naman yun.. kaya nga I asked for pics.. para makita ko kung aling katawan ang gusto ko at tingin ko applicable sa body frame ko para yun ang iaadapt kong workout.

     

    Dun sa mala-Conan na body.. impossible kse para sa body frame ko yun.. number 1, girl ako :blink: .. number 2, payat lang ang bone structure ko.. and number 3, hindi ganun ang definition ko ng nice body. Shemps iba iba tayo ng paningin kung ano ang nice body para sa tin. B)

     

    Sabi ko nga.. palitan na lang natin ang title ng thread. :hypocritesmiley:

  7. The best way to strengthen the abs and lower back is by doing the basic compound exercises such as squats, ench presss, deadlifts, military presses, pullups and rows. Other exercises like overhead squats, turkish getups and planks are also helpful. crunches are basically good, but for aesthtic and not functional purposes.

     

    Ahm.. pwede paki-explain how these exercises strengthen the abs and lower back?

  8. pain in the upper back area? numbing? may not be muscular in nature... are you getting gaseous? colic? might be gas... or a tied up muscle... there could be alot of things... kung nangangawit na may kasamang weakness, have it checked... kung pain  lang tapos walang kasamang muscular inefficiency, most likely internal...

     

    wala naman ibang pain.. parang ngawit lang yun feeling.. i'm trying to really stretch it (baka lang nakulangan lang sa stretching).. pero nandun pa rin.

     

    anyways, agree ako dun sa hindi lahat ng program basta mo na lang iaadapt sa yo.. as I've posted earlier, though my trainor made a program for me to follow.. pagtagal.. ginagawa ko na lang yun napi-feel kong effective sa kin plus nageenjoy rin akong gawin at the same time.

     

    pero shemps ganun pa rin.. you try out new programs for yourself.. pano mo malalaman if it will work for you kung sarado na utak mo di ba? may time rin kse na panay ganun yun training na ginagawa mo, and you've already hit a plateau (tama ba spell?).. dapat lang na mag-change ka na ng program pag ganun na di ba.. well, kung ang aim mo lang naman eh mag-improve pa.. pero shemps if you're already contented with your body.. di tuloy tuloy lang yun program.

     

    hmm.. about having a model body.. yun kse ang title ng thread.. my not so common sense says that a model body is something nice to look at.. so that would be bodies na katulad ng nakikita natin sa mga billboards and fitness magazines. It would be good to note their programs.. like how did they achieve bodies like that.. but again.. malalaman mo lang if it will work for you if you try their program di ba? di naman pwedeng basahin mo lang tapos sarado lang utak mo na basta yun program ko ang pinaka-effective.. eh bakit ka pa nagbabasa di ba?

     

    yun lang.. with all due respect to the posters of this thread.. wag na lang kse mamilosopo.. or better yet palitan na lang natin ang title ng thread ng "how to be fit and healthy". :rolleyes:

  9. About the lower back pain, never experienced any since I strengthened my core (abs and lower back) so that I can handle lifting all the heavy weight.

     

    It's not the lower back eh.. bandang taas sha.. parang ngawit yun feeling? Nagpa-sports massage na ko and all.. it's still there.. btw, thug, I dont lift naman yun mashadong mabigat na weights (12 lang pag dumbells).

     

    So how do I strengthen my core?

    hmm.. the topic kse is about bulding a model body eh.. that's why I asked for pictures. Shempre mas nakakagana yata sumunod sa program ng taong maganda ang body to start with. I myself don't like doing aeros pag yung nagtuturo ay mataba.. kakawalang-gana di ba? Baka pag ginaya ko sha, baka tumaba rin ako. :blink:

    Well, baka pwede akong magrequest.. can you guys post the picture of your body (pakisama pati lower body ha).. then I'd decide whose program works best. :D

     

    Speaking for myself.. I have yet to achieve that model-like body but I'm okey with my body now.. I guess what's really important is that you're happy with your workout routine.. to hell with those workout programs di ba.. if you feel like you're being cursed into working out. I myself don't do military press. Why? Ang hirap eh. Wag na lang kako.. yun sabi ko sa Trainor ko.. pasaway ba? :D

     

    I do 2 hour cardios tops.. not because I am fat (I am not fat, by the way.. hehe) but because I really love dancing. So, if you enjoy your workout routine.. di hell it surely works! Kse pag enjoy ka, you'll keep coming back to the gym di ba?

     

    Pero agree ako dun sa the more muscles you build, mas mahirap kang tumaba. I mean I noticed kse when I stopped going to the gym for 3 mos.. since I'm into weight training.. kahit anong kain ko, di ako tumaba.. or at least di ako gano nag-gain ng weight (5 lbs lang in 3 mos ang na-gain ko.. ang lakas ko kumain at ang lakas ko sa chocolates ha).

     

    Guys tanong ko na lang, di ba sumasakit likod nyo when you lift heavy weights?

    Hmm.. I'm also into lifting weights but my muscles firmed up lang. Maybe your body is really big to start with? That's a question ha. I mean.. girls kse di naman talaga magbabato-bato ang itsura not unless you drink something para maging ganun (just like yun mga girls na sumasali na sa mga contest).

     

    Anyway, to answer the thread's question.. you have to lose weight muna then tone your body by lifting weights. Pag may fats ka pa sa katawan, mahihirapan ka ma-achieve ang model-like figure. Read also the gym buffs thread.. there are so many helpful tips there.

  14. I'm also a Nike-addict.. kakainis lang kse mas mahal compared sa ibang sports apparel. Sa rubbershoes naman.. no questions asked.. automatic sa Nike Park or Stadium kagad ako pupunta. ;)

  16. Don't go on any "diets."

     

    Breasts are one of the first (if not the first) places where fat is cannibalized (metabolized) by the body. Unfortunately, the reverse is not true.

     

    In other words, you can't get that volume back, no matter how much new weight you gain. Go figure.

     

    I've know several ladies who had spectacular racks - and then they lost weight (whether to a diet or other, ahem, issues). Those that came back to their "normal" weight have never regained the former glory of their breasts.

     

    Diets = Just Say No.

     

     

    Siguro applicable lang to kung mataba kaya malaki ang boobs. There are girls na malaki ang boobs kahit payat. ;)
