  1. for blake shelton:

My oh my, if you think I'm good-looking

Hold myself together like a pair of bookends

You don't know the rest of the story

Haven't seen the lines on my face in the morning.

I put whisky and lime in my iced tea,

Dance in the mirror to cheesy rock by Skiddy

    Sometimes in my pyjamas

Other times just in my Havaianas.

My oh my, if you think I'm so clever,

Looking real smart in my corporate number.

You don't know I curl barefoot on the floor

When I've been wrong ten times or more.

    Do you still wanna know?

    Do you still wanna know?

    Do you still wanna know?

Do I break things when I get mad?

No, baby, that's just in the movies.

I get on the car and drive real fast.

I dial home to listen to children's voices

My nephews talking baby and I acting fairy.

I am this when you're not around

When the lights are out and I'm all that I've got.

    I read Og Mandino's self-help books

And listen to music, and yes, of David Cook.

My oh my, if you think I'm good-looking

I cry oceans without a sound, a typhoon in the making.

  2. Does the strength of your faith = getting answers from God?

Ang iba means tama o mas maganda? Pag may taong namatay like earthquake, ano ang mas magandang plano nya para dun sa taong yun?

it is probably not for the one who died but for those whom he had left behind. if we believe that we are here on earth for some purpose, then perhaps either in living or in dying that we become what we are meant to be. that we are here not for ourselves alone but for others. and that others live for us and because of us.

well, that's parental guidance (PG) sex education for you. :P

Eto nga daw pala yung SE modules:

Grade School: Basic Sex Educ (BSE)

High School: Advanced Sex Educ (ASE)

    College: OJT

    :D

  4. dear noy,

many of the promises you made during the campaign will not be fulfilled. i know that for a fact. but it is not the promises you made that made me vote for you. it is what you represent. you advertised for change and i want that, not that i buy it. you advertised to fight for the marginalized and i want that, not that i believe you could do that (hey, i didn't say you would not). you advertised to fight corruption, hey i want that too, but not because i believe you could do that either. you advertised that you would not be indebted to anyone, only to those who would entrust you their votes. and again i want that, not that i believe you could do that.

at the end of your term and in between your term, the only body that can really run after you if you don't make good your promises is PANA. remember truth in advertising?

btaim, here are my shameless pieces of advice:

please, mind the person you are going to assign at DENR. remember ondoy. if you put that man i heard about over lunch today as denr secretary, i will goddamm storm malacanang and wring your neck!

as for education, fulfill this one promise of subsidizing tuition fees of poor students who would be sent to private schools. do not build additional classrooms or schools nor hire new teachers for public schools. as these exercises are prone to corruption. send students to private schools and pay their fees and strengthen DepED and CHED as they supervise to ensure that these private institutions only provide quality education. if you give these private schools paying students, they will have enough money for improvement of facilities and quality education. it is about time to trust the private sector.

and while we're on the topic, have a tour at UP Diliman and have a heart to propose how to make full good use of the vast space awfully wasted in that campus. i had my foreign counterpart at the office tour that university the other day and we had the same sentiment.

if you can, make FVR dpwh secretary. KIDDING! heck, get one of the guys of SMDC or SMPHI to head this department. better yet, why not outsource all of dpwh from SMDC? get the drift?

also, is there a way you can have that stupid lina law abolished and slaughtered? i know joey lina ran as laguna gov under LP, but hear this, we opted to vote for ER ejercito, one of the better mayors in laguna. speaking of ER, if given the right opportunity, this guy will make a good president, way better than his uncle or that ambitious chiz or that other marcos. i suggest that you get ER as one of your advisers. seriously!

finally, i still don't like shalani. marry her. not marry her, i don't care.

  5. e, i & n:

i know it hadn't been a pleasant meeting. you just have to give it to me to let off some steam - an understatement, as usual. i might have taken for granted my duties as your boss the past few months and this is inexcusable despite glaring reasons. reasons, not excuses. but i failed to impart to you some of me. not that i'm perfect, but that i'm trying.

i had to yell because the veins in my temple were throbbing and my heartbeat was running 150% faster. had i kept the voice low, you would have had to send me to the clinic.

it wasn't exactly pleasant to have been paraded with one's pants down. literally, of course. and they didn't stop with the pants. one by one, a piece of what makes us us was cast off, until we were no more.

this organization used to sit at the top, cream of the crop. until mediocrity became the order of the day. but the good news, nay, the great news is we were caught. thank god, we were caught!

this sudden death should resuscitate us and not send us to the morgue.

you have been stripped naked of your professional dignity by me. don't go running naked again.

  6. the cute one:

in a few minutes today becomes tomorrow. and i've seen her the second time. but you've only seen me talking to him. so you think it's bad. but not as bad as me seeing her, right there, across from where i sat. how does it feel being around two women, one ex, one would-be ex? answer, please.

i can tell you what it's like talking on the phone with an ex while the would-be ex is hovering around. it's hilarious. hilariously painful.

it was a crazy world out there. and there was no sign to be had.

    this thing needs to stop.

  7. Mr. Manual V. Pangilinan,

cheer up! you're still very rich and influential. what's a few embarrassments once in awhile? so you plagiarized obama's, rowling's and oprah's graduation speeches to have your own delivered at ateneo's graduation (well, the news said you hired two new ateneo grads as speech writers to help you with it), big deal. it only made me a notch better than you. thank you for that!

    what a beautiful day!

  8. 1. don't think that the world will end if your job application is rejected.

    2. fastforward, tell your children to do great and learn as much in grade school. then you will not have to worry about what happens to them in high school and college. remember, those who get accepted by the proverbial top 2 (i believe, no.3 could be any school) are those with strong basic education.

    3. bosses can play gods, but they aren't gods. but worship them just the same. but only on your first 6 months.

    4. be friends with the influential. and these aren't always the big C's. it could be the ceo's driver or the prez's EA.

    5. if you have plans to climb the corporate ladder. don't take any MBA. seriously. take master of fine arts in creative writing or Phd in music. it should not be related to business.

    6. don't draw the first blood. BUT --

    7. contradict initiatives. but you got to be really smart to do this. initiatives are refined by attacks.

  9. the last time i saw you was in high school.

you were with this smart, pretty, young belle of the ball.

and i asked myself what good had that girl done to deserve all that she had, you included.

it was a passing thought. i was in love with a lesser being that time.

you were just too good for anyone, i supposed.

today, i ask, what good have i done?
