  1. In fairness to MP, I also do not like how some of the LGBT had reacted on the situation (an “OA”ness at its best). They’re also nothing but sanctimonious hypocrites who judged a person without acknowledging their own sins.

    Bigotry begets bigotry

For once, let’s define the term bigotry as an intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.

So based on that, both MP and his bashers (especially some of the LGBT ones) are guilty for that matter.

And I believe that what Manny had been said was based on opinion and if anyone who couldn’t handle other’s opinion should also be called (small-minded) bigots. .

But then again, MP is the triggering factor here. Who could you blame then? The MP himself or his bashers? Or was it the media?

Yes to his Credit, nagsorry na naman sya for using the phrase "masahol pa sa hayop". Hindi naman talaga issue yun stand nya on same sex marriage. He is entitled to that. Pero ang masama kasi nilabel nya as hayop ang mga nasa LGBT which made him a douchebag. Choose words kasi carefully dapat. And even in the Christian teachings, prudence is encouraged. Pero sabi nya, "If a person is gay, but seeks the lord and is good-willed, then who am I to judge?". Ganyan dapat.

Although, that being said, I dont think there is further reason to keep crucifying Manny. He recieved backlash, lost major endorsement deals (which he respected). Hopefully he learns to be more selective of the things he says since nung 2012 dati na sya sumabit sa parehong issue. But yeah we all need to just forgive him and move on.

  2. Leviticus 20:13:

"...If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads..." (New International Version)

"...If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense..." (New Living Translation)

Is there any other literal meaning to this passage?

Puputulin mo ba kamay mo?

Old testament yang passage na yan, marami na ang nabago since the new testament. Any idiot can memorize bible verses but only an intelligent christian who understands prudence can quote it without offending anyone or being a bigot. Pope Francis does not support same sex union, but niether does he call them "masahol pa sa hayop". In fact he shows them love and respect.

Yan talaga problema kay Manny, he did not choose his words carefully.

    He's not my bet.

I respect his opinion. But I have a different view on how he should have presented his stand on LGBTs.

He appeared self righteous, but so, too, were most of those LGBTs who responded.

Ako I actually do not support same sex marriage, but he is just an idiot for not being able to carefully choose his words. Talk about backfire.

Self righteous talaga! Sya nga itong ilang beses kinaliwa asawa at nagkaroon pa ng anak sa labas

  3. Declare Requiring of Exit Clearances for OFWs unconstitutional.

Our freedom to abode is constitutionally protected long as wala naman hold departure order from DOJ.

Its a clearance! And yet not one bureaucratic monkey in NAIA can explain what exactly we are being cleared from. WTF? Then why call it a clearance?

  4. actors and actresses should not be allowed to run for elected govt positions.... they have so much media exposure that their opponents do not have....

may sound discriminatory but it is the other way around if you look at it closely....

    ponder.....

    Hmmmmm

Vilma Santos did good in Lipa.

Kung tutuusin, karapatan naman ni Manny di sumangayon sa same-sex marriage, but the way he said it was just unstatesman like and he sounds like one of them Christard douchebags who use the bible like a press kit to cop out on anything. Prudence is a Christian virtue.

Ako din, hindi ako sumusuporta sa same sex marriage, but there is a proper way of expressing disapproval considering gusto maging senador....

Well lets just be hopeful that this will indeed ruin his candidacy.

  6. If your goal is to be bigger, then protein drinks can really help you. After all whey for instance is just liquid food. It can also be economically wise to use them if you lack the time to prepare meals.

However, do not use them as a substitute for healthy meals. You still have to eat right.

Personally, I wanna go natural as much as possible.

  7. I did this and regretted it badly.

Kahit gaano mo kamahal yun tao, never beg for them to stay with you. Nobody, and I MEAN NO f#&king BODY, is worth losing your pride and dignity for. Its better to lose the person you love than to lose all the love you have for yourself.

The thing is, if the person decides to leave... they will leave. Even if physically they are still with you, they wont be with you anymore in heart and spirit. You take a beating anyway, so its always better to take it standing up.

Not worth the risk. Kung kaya nya talikuran yun current commitment nya ng ganun kadali, what makes you think you'd be any different?

See this is already reflective ng weakness ng character nung taong gusto mo sulutin. Masama yan magbackfire yan sayo. Pag ikaw naman nasulutan o iniwan, sobra kang masasaktan.

  9.

    Very well said sir.

Let's face it, people kasi have priorities di ba? Syempre maeenganyo ka konti sa mga makikita mo, and you will want to try it, but when it starts to get exhausting, and you realize you got other priorities you will either be inconsistent or you will halt.

  10. Let me also add that knowledge is a huge part of it. You gotta keep building your fitness IQ more than your chest.

Research research research! Especially when it comes to diet. Anybody can lift, but it really takes someone with correct knowledge to learn how to eat right.

Learn a lot of healthy recipes so that you have variety.

    Look for healthier options

Read the nutrition label for crying out loud.

Fish is a good substitute kung nagsasawa ka na chicken breast. Tuna, Salmon, Tilapia, are all good choices.

Then there is always lean red meat. A little fat is ok too because you need that to up testosterone anyway.

Take some good kind of fats too. Olive oil did wonders for me

  12. Here are tips that worked for me

    1. Eat breakfast. Boost that metabolism in the morning by having a healthy meal. You'd be surprised how much fat you can burn just by taking time to eat breakfast

    2. Eat more often, this helps to keep your body metabolism. You eat less metabolism slows down and you burn fat slower. Distribute the calories towards the day

    3. Go fo healthier substitutes. Instead of chips, try mixed nuts with a bit of dried fruits for snack. Not only is this very rich in flavor but it also washes away the fixation of your palates to junk food

    4. Mix it up. Try various types of meal so you do not get sick of it

    5. Knowledge is always key. Always know what you put inside your mouth and what it does.

  13. IMO

People who have motivation more than aesthetics are usually the one who are successful at this. Ok sure, some people make money out of their looks. Pero hindi naman lahat tayo model. Its not like we take our shirts off to work everyday.

You gotta have motivation greater than looking like an underwear model. You gotta commit to the lifestyle. Be willing to push yourself each day and go through the pain. Good motivation + Knowledge + Consistency = Good healthy body with a sweet bonus of looking good naked

Finally got a chance to see this. I am a big fan of fight movies.

Superstar boxer Billy Hope (Jake Gyllenhall) has everything a man could want. Championship belts, fortune, a beautiful wife, and an adorable daughter. But when his wife gets accidentally shot after a scuffle with another up-and-coming contender, his life begins to spiral out of control. When he starts to go on a self-destructive pattern, he begins to lose everything that matters to him. His belts, his home, his daughter, even his pride as a man. He now has to pull himself together and fight his inner demons to take back what he lost.

The casting was awesome. Everyone was great in their roles. Jake Gyllenhall who looks ripped as hell gives a very committed performance. He can be a beast inside and outside the ring, but he also shows a lot of tenderness in those scenes with his daughter. The girl who plays the daughter? Oh my goodness, she should get an acting nod for this. What a performance. Your heart really breaks when you see her get angry at her dad. Forrest Whitaker was awesome as the trainer. He develops Billy to become a more disciplined fighter relying more on technique than brute force, and mentors him as well to become a mature male figure to his daughter. Favorite line of the movie

"You gotta let her hate you so she can get better. You gotta let her go through her thing, and not think that this is also your thing. Its not always about you". True! When you break someone's heart sometimes its just better to let them be mad at you for a while so that they can forgive you later on.

The other supporting casts were also good. Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny) plays a small supporting role as the social worker who takes care of the daughter and teaches Billy to become a better father. 50 cent is the movies Don King, a manipulative greedy bastard who will make use of any situation to make money. He too was well cast. The main villain though is a bit underdeveloped.

Of course, what is a fight movie without the obligatory training montage and fight scenes. With the music provided by Eminem the workout scenes gets you real pumped up. The fights were well-shot too. Its very violent and gritty. Showing faces being beaten to a pulp, with plenty of sweat and blood all over. I also liked that it doesnt look any of the Rocky IV ridiculousness where they just keep throwing fists at each other without any technique or strategy. Thats one thing the movie got right, showing different boxing strategies that work in a real match.

The movies main problem though is that it has way too many cliches that make the beginning, middle, and end predictable. Its a redemption tale that we have seen so many times. There is the fall from grace, then the protagonist beats his own demons, get redeemed after the climactic battle, and is once more at the top again. Having said that, it doesnt do much to stand out as a boxing movie.

Ill just give this one a B-

Eto nangyari sakin last january. Pag dating sa immigration officer, hinihingian ako ng POEA exit clearance kasi professor status daw VISA ko. 5-6 times labas pasok ako ng pilipinas under the same travel credential, paying the same fees (Travel taxes and terminal fee) and did not have one bit of a problem. Then all of a sudden required naman ako ng exit clearance. So uminit ulo ko sabi ko, ok anong klaseng training ba meron kayo then? Pabago bago kayo ng patakaran.

So to cut to the chase punta ako POEA, and I really expressed my disgust sa bulok an bureaucratic system natin. Turns out, me babayaran ako syempre sa POEA at OWWA. Ibig sabihin kung di ako makauwi Pilipinas within that time frame, eh di bayad nanaman ulit! Anak ng tinapang galungung o! Para silang nakakaloko! Eh di singilin na lang nila ako ng travel tax at terminal fee basta kasma na lahat sa ticket at huwag nila ako abalahin. Buti na lang 3 hours before the flight ako nakarating kundi naiwan ako eroplano.

Laging kumplikado yung patakaran at proseso. Dami kelangan bayaran.

  16. Kisapmata the classic Mike De Leon movie

This is the best made Filipino horror movie. It is also one of the best pieces of Philippine cinema. I loved everything about this movie. From the excellent performances, to the cinematography, and the story most of all. It is technically a drama, but there is just so much suspense and tension building up to the entire plot you'd soon be watching a horror movie. No there aren't any supernatural elements in the plot. No creatures, or no deranged serial killers in hockey masks. Every character here is real! All the motivations are real! Vic Silayan gives his finest performance as the Jealously obsessed father who will stop at nothing to cling on to her daughter.

See each time I revisit this masterpiece there is always something new to look at and reinterpret. And yes it still gives me chills

  17.

How does she react to this? At ganun din ikaw sa kanya?

OT: Tried to call the number pero "can't be reached" daw. Will try again.

Most of the time iiwasan nya yung topic na yun. Pag naguusap usap kami dito at me magstart nyan, tumutulong na ako para ibahin usapan. She is not like typical INC member though na hangang sa huling hininga ipaglalaban organisasyon nila tama o mali. On several occasions she did criticize yung sobrang pagiging panatiko ng marami sa organisasyon nila. I can tell she loves her religion, but she is intelligent enough to understand na hindi naman lahat ng ginagawa sa kanila ay tama. But understandably I wont expect her to go against her own religion.

Not only does it demonize him more and more, it also reflects failure in his leadership. Di nga maayos sariling pamilya eh.

OT: Hmmmm sige papatanong ko ulit number

Close door meeting lang dapat among family members. At least wala ibang maeeskandalo

  19. Its so hard to please nerds nowadays.

For years people were complaining that the prequel trilogies didn't feel like a star wars movie and forgot all the things that made the original great.

But now with episode VII people are complaining that it borrowed too much from a new hope and didn't really do anything new. Its basically same story and characters.

I agree that Episode VII is not a perfect movie. In fact, what movie is? And yes it repeats the same formula of the original trilogy. But so what? Does it make it a bad movie? Of course not! It is very entertaining infact, it had to rely on the old formula to remind us why we love star wars and it worked. Besides I think its unavoidable for big movie franchises to ditch the formula that works.

For example the James Bond movies. Haven't you noticed that every film is just the same? There is the gun barrel sequence. Then opening action scene introducing james bond. Then a title sequence. Then bond goes on a mission, he gets to meet 2 beautiful women whom one he will have sex with. Then there is an obligatory scene with him in a tuxedo. He will meet the eccentric villain whose goal is world domination. He gets captured, then escapes, then the climactic showdown.

Relyin on formula isn't always a bad thing. remember the prequels suck because it deviated a lot from the original formula

  20. More terror attacks by the ISIS this time in Indonesia.

More than bombs and bullets, I hope there are enough good people out there who will stand up against hate and bigotry against Muslims. They too in these attacks become the very victims of Islamic Radicals. When we begin to spew hate, we do what exactly the terrorists wants us to

  21. Honorary Title of Datu was given to Mar Roxas. Obviously, he is the personification of Jack of all trades. From market porter to pedicab driver to traffic enforcer and now Datu.

What will be next for Mar?
