finished ASOS saturday. rested my eyes a bit after that LOL.

started on AFOC, and am probly a quarter of the way through with that.

so far, ASOS is my favorite book.

SoS is one crazy roller coaster

ive never read a book where im alternately sad and giggling. eg - red wedding one chapter, then tyrion and his pops having a convo, the next. ykwim?

Finished COK Saturday morning, started reading SOS almost immediately.One long weekend after, im halway done SOS.

SOS is pretty much awesome. A bit sad at times, but awesome nonetheless!

Uhm, Robert Jordan died of his longtime illness so it couldn't be helped that Sanderson is writing the last 3 books.

 

GRRM on the other hand is just doing a whole lot with his franchise (branching out into gaming and TV) thus taking a whole lot longer to finish books.

 

On topic, Dance ended in some unexpected ways. I like the major character development done on Arya and Daenerys though. Those two still top my list of favorite characters in the book.

GRRM got sick awhile back. It contributed to DOD's delay.

im almost done w/ a clash of kings. im going to cave in and get dance of dragons later. yes, even if its still on hardback and i hate hardbacks. ugh.

i dont know how long before the next 2 books come out. hopefully before im too old to read LOL.

Tyrion in the book is pretty kick-ass, but his storyline actually picks up better going into the 2nd book.

My fave characters are Jon, Arya, Renly and Loras (loveteam!), and maybeeeee Robb. :-) And Tyrion, of course.

Jaqen is pretty hawt!

ive finished reading these books since my last post.

I've been wanting to read The Book Thief for quite a while. How was it?

 

It was a sad book. But I liked it.

what season is Top Chef Masters on now ???? Truth to tell, I haven't been following this series (though I should be)

 

probably third. i think. its not as brutal as top chef - i feel like they give the pro chefs a lot of leeway.

I don't mind the spoilers (since I sometimes spoil myself by reading their website before I even watched the downloaded program) ....... its always fun discussing the show with you.

there's top chef masters going on right now. you might remember mary sue milliken from two hot tamales (used to air on lifestyle channel, i think). im personally rooting for traci des jardins.

Top Chef 8 Finale (Championship Round)

 

It was an epic battle between RICHARD "Willy Wonka" BLAIS and MIKE ISABELLA as both contestants came out with guns blazing. They were to cook a four course tasting menu for the judges and 70 other people (kinda like a mini restaurant wars) and everybody in judges panel agreed that both of them cooked really delicious food. (I think it was only in the fourth course dessert that both fell just a little short)

 

I think after a tough debate, they decided on one winner and it was RICHARD that took home the prize. (yehey, I was rooting for him)

i never liked Mike Isabella - he reminds me too much of the Jersey Shore guidos.

i am glad blais won. he was the most consistent chef in this competition and he deserves it!

i purposely stayed away from this thread so as not to give you spoilers, LOL!

since i last posted, ive read these books.

some of the summer stuff i got over the weekend. i also got some basic tees in white, taupe, blue and coral.
