  1. is he the oriental looking bald guy ????

I was surprised the season started with 29 contestants but was trimmed down to 16 only after the 2nd episode.

and I saw this lady (I think named ASHLEY) whom she said she is married to a filipino and that she even attempted to cook oxtail kare-kare. (unfortunately, her dish didn't get the nod of the judges and was immediately sent home)

there was also this guy that did an adobo dish ..... not sure if he is filipino.

kawawa yun guy in black ...... he doesn't know how to butcher a pig and was immediately sent home.

Yep he's the bald dude. His performance was so-so last episode. I hope he picks things up. There are 2 other Asians in the competition, I believe theyre Korean in origin.

I remember the Kare Kare dish, but im pretty sure the guy who did the Adobo dish was Hispanic. They also have an adobo dish in their culture but its totally different from ours.

The guy who didnt know how to butcher was one big tool LOL. I was glad to see him go.

  2. Has anyone noticed how the early episodes seem less of a zombie series? 2 episodes in and the zombies seem like they are just cameos.

the title of the show may be "the walking dead" but it would really, really be boring if there were zombies in every scene - they dont talk, the have no facial expression, they do nothing but grunt and weave about drunkenly.

oh wait -- its because zombies are dead but not dead.

the show is really about the lives of the people caught in the epidemic and what they do (or dont do) to survive.

please to not be so literal.

oh and flashbacks?...can someone say "Lost"

Lost does not have the monopoly on the use of flashbacks. in fact, no film, book or tv show does.

after all, a flashback is a device often used in literature, film and tv to fill in information or explain something in the present by referencing the past.

  3.

Just finished reading a clash of kings. The battle at Blackwater bay left a few questions for me. I'm disappointed there was no story from the point of view of one of the kings. I expect a few chapters in a storm of swords to explore this. The way his brother king and the latter's knight were killed I expected the woman to plan another sneaky attack at King's Landing.

Also, I wanted chapters from the point of view of the king of the north and not from his mother.

so that we dont spoil the story for those not reading the books.

im going to put your post behind a spoiler tag nao.

Quick as a snake. Calm as still water. Fear cuts deeper than swords.

Strong as a bear. Fierce as a wolverine. Fear cuts deeper than swords.

The man who fears losing has already lost. Fear cuts deeper than swords.

Fear cuts deeper than swords. Fear cuts deeper than swords.”

  5. Night gathers, and now my watch begins.

It shall not end until my death.

I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children.

I shall wear no crowns and win no glory.

I shall live and die at my post.

I am the sword in the darkness.

I am the watcher on the walls.

I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men.

I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all nights to come
