The fried chicken at RACKS is not bad. (I also like their gravy)

 

Their fravy isnt as salty.

I try to mix and match the sauces and gravy of RACKs to the chicken and ribs.

Another good buffet place is "The Pantry" in Dusit Thani. The place is relatively small compared to "Circles", "Heat" or "Spiral". The buffet is divine.

Been wanting to try this place out as well.

I'm not too keen on their choice of flavors as they tend to make it over complicated.

I guess its to justify their high prices.

Its 2x more expensive than the better banh mi in the US and 4x those sold in Vietnam.

Even my Vietnamese friends were surprised at the price as they claim its higher than the ones in the tourist trap places.

For the record, I'm still looking for a good baguette in this country.

If one is looking for a Traditional (some may want to call it authentic) Japanese resto, then I guess very few in the metropolis will be the same as IZAKAYA SHONANTEI......... so if You're the type that likes all those fusion rolls like california or dragon makis etc etc, you will not find it here.

 

They used to serve mostly "pulutan" food ....... but at the request of diners, they expanded their menu to have rice toppings, ramen and tempura.

 

My most recommended dishes are their Tako Wasabi, Grilled Chicken Skin, Grilled Tomato Bacon and Shishamo. (all of which are excellent beermates)

 

Look for Ma'am Janet (owner and wife of chef Takeshi)

Well, Burger Project in Scout Rallos has moved out already. I'm not sure if the Maginhawa branch is still operating though. When the F7 compound was out up, Burger Project was one of the first restaurants there.

Had a chance to try out their Jupiter branch.

Burgers were ok.

Safe.

Kinda forgettable.

But ok yung concept though it can be a bit expensive with all the add ons
