  1. Me thinks this was obliterated in continuity , post crisis :D

Supes and Olsen would visit Kandor as the powerless heroes Nightwing and Flamebird, inspired of course by Batman and Robin. At one time there was a team-up between the two duos which apparently gave Robin (Dick Grayson) the inspiration to adapt the Nightwing name for himself later on. This all happened pre-crisis of course, back in the sixties, dont know if it was ever retconned post crisis.
  2. Ive read in a Superman comic compilation ages ago, When Supes visited the shrunken bottled Kryptonian City of Kandor (inside the Fortress of Solitude), A shrunken Kal-El and Jimmy Olsen would don masks & costumes, prance around the city as caped crimefighters, inspired by Batman & Robin... hehe

Supes of course has no super powers when he is inside Kandor :D

  3. hehe...but im sure "status symbol" groupies would save for this gadget so they can "flash" (not the firmware) it in front of chums...sikat ba

Not so sleek when fingerprints are all over the phone, though. I'm very wary about devices that use touchscreen technology: they're so fragile. But for the price they're selling the iPhone for and for its lack of features, I think I'll pass...

It seems Apple zombies say that they can do without a certain feature until Steve Jobs starts adding it in his devices. Then they go 'ooohh... ahhhh... me want one.'

  4. That would be interesting, id like to see how that version of the iPhone stack up against the available tech (Windows CE/Symbian 3.5G or 4G? phones) when the time comes...and im sure the iPhone has already a cult following by then (at least in the US or Europe)

But with its "finger" touch screen and sleek looks...the iPhone gets my vote for aesthetics :D

What I am looking forward to are the Asia and Euro versions of the iPhone which are rumoured to be 3G capable. Apple knows that the US is the sticks compared to Asia and Europe--even the Philippines, when it comes to mobile phone sophistication.
  5. You win some...you lose some...

With the iPhone's Safari browser, it doesn't support Flash and Java

but you get great UI graphics (Apple pioneered GUI) and animations as well as supreme web surfing experience

as boomouse said...its a paradigm shift...and comes along with it the..."hardware shift" (start saving for those Power Macs) :D

  6. Err...i agree with its seamless integration with the Mac...but

Here in Pinas...what is the ratio of Windows powered PC users vs MAC users? like "9 PC users for every Apple Mac user"? From artvaders' contention..(if i am right), i do understand why he is contesting the iPhone's capabilities

Most smartphone users either use Palm/Symbian or Windows OS...thus most users like us are more familiar with the capabilities of a Treo, HPiPAq, Nokia N-Series etc...which interfaces with....the Windows powered PC (clone or branded) , which is everywhere...home..office...net cafe...i have used a Mac, i own an iPod...but it doesnt have much cake on the current hardware interfaces available here unlike in the US...

Subliminal selling by Mr. Jobs?

Can i beam files to another phone or device using its BT? thru IR? eww...

3G is a staple in Asia..how can the current iPhone provide that? zilch...

In the US its another story

Spoken like someone who hasn't used a Mac lately. But that's okay. If you know how to work with iLife especially the new iLife 08 you will appreciate more how the iPhone integrates with your Mac functionality. As a standalone device even the Prada phone might have more cachè, but when used with iLife, dot mac, and a MacBook Pro the integration is truly synergistic.
  7. Paul was a team mate of both Eugene and Bong Solomon in that successful SSC Stags team

It was shown in Bandila, and even in HardBall. Any news coming from his wife, btw?

Also, wasn't he a teammate of Eugene Quilban? Wow, that makes 'em two who were promising players in the NCAA then right now...

  8. gear... hmmm

a Hamer 4 string bass guitar

a Fender Telecaster *made in Mexico

a beat up refurbished Gibson SG :D

    a Yamaha Pandora's Box/Boss Fuzz, Chorus & Distortion

a beat up RJ Steel Acoustic guitar

  9. If you follow the post Crisis rebooted JLU lineup...or DCAU, Hawkgirl or Sheyera Thal (GL's love interest), is a legit Thanagarian, on the other hand

The post Crisis Hawkman, an archeologist who adopted Thanagarian technology (Nth Metal) and dubbed himself as Hawkman

The Silver Age/Pre Crisis Hawkman & Hawkgirl are "legit" Thanagarians

The one you saw in the poster is the Silver Age/Pre Crisis Hawkman named Carter Hall

Mga kuya question po sa line up ng JLA.

I know that there is a male counter part of Hawk Girl. In the ORIGINAL line up of JLA, is it the Hawk Girl or Hawk Man?

I saw this poster in Megamall, I think it was Comic Alley, the person wearing the Hawk custome was a male one.

  10. Is this still part of the current JSA storyline?

Thank you for your thoughts, bro.. I read ign.com's review on Black Adam: The Dark Ages, it mainly focuses on the Black Shazam's plight to resurrect Isis (his wife).. Well, it has good reviews, but given the many comics I am currently getting, I'd rather pass on it.. Coz it does not look like this would be a huge storyline in the future..
  11. they cant sniff out skrulls anymore? :D

BTW.. the FF2 movie wherein Johnny used the FF4 other abilities reminds me of the Super Skrull :D

green alien baddies who can shape shift. they are sworn enemies of the kree.

they played a significant role in annihilation if you've read it. (i haven't sorry)

most earthlings with heightened senses (a.k.a. wolverine, spidey) can usually detect disguised skrulls but according to the latest developments, di na sila ganun. they haven't explained why that is.

  12. Even with Bruce's own DNA, Amanda Waller failed to produce an "exact" replica of Batman... Terry IMHO doesnt even come close to Dick Grayson (Nightwing)

Batman Beyond is not part of the Elseworlds Universe. It's part of the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) continuity. Terry McGinnis is Batman's boy. well... clone technically speaking. Pity Terry didn't inherit the brains of Bruce.
  13. When Manute Bol went to the Warriors, the 7-7 beanpole started heaving 3 point bombs?!!! Geez

for me, coach Don Nelson and Mike Fratello

don Nelson - probably the mad scientist of the NBA. pioneered the "small-ball", "hack-a-shaq", "point-forward position" and turning a 7 foot german into a freakin 3 point shooter (imagine what he can do to Yao Ming if he's his coach.) So crazy, so creative.
