    Typical firmware bugs...better ask when will the firmware updates from the NCC...these are the usual problems of new release mobiles

    Last June 18 i bought a NOKIA N80 and a Nokia N70 at the Gadget Madness in Glorietta. On the following day i started exploring the N80 cellphone. At first the unit seem to be fine. And taken a video also on the 3gp or normal setting. It was then i noticed the big difference, considering the N80 was supposed to have a 3 Megapixel camera compared to the N70 which only have 2 megapix camera. I took a video then side by side, on same location, same duration, same lighting condition and same setting now on HIGH (MP4) setting to see if there would really be a significant difference. On my dismay, the N70 had a better, clearer video. I returned the unit to nokia care in glorietta. The diagnosis was there was AN INTERMITTENT BLURRED during zooming. they recommended that said unit be returned to the supplier coz there was NO AVAILABLE PART for the CAMERA. I then tried buying on some other stores (coz the Accent Micro store where i bought the unit said they dont have a stock which i need to wait) so instead i requested a refund. I looked for another N80 on a different store (i tried 4 stores Ambassador, Hello, cant remember the 2) coz NOKIA has no stock. All units i tested manifested same problem...BLURRED VIDEO. The still shot however was OK. Now i ended up buying N91.

     

    So for those who want to buy N80, better bring along a cel wid 2Megapix camera, so u can directly compare the video side by side before u pay, coz once u paid up, u cant directly return the product, they will refer u to NOKIA care coz it will fall under the 1 Yr WARRANTY. Mahirap mag ubos ng oras 4hrs ubusin mo dun. Maliban dun me iba pang problem (MMC door BUMUBUKAS PAG SINARA, phone hangs pag install mo ng applications - well on my case)

     

    Sana makatulong to na guide, akala kasi ng iba they are buying a cell wid CLEARER CAMERA coz its 3MEGAPIX nga. Tapos will end up mas pangit pa."

    N80 is a Symbian OS Smartphone...tons of apps, games..open OS...WLAN...almost a handheld PC

     

    K800 is a souped up K750i "dumb" phone...but with much powerful cam and hi-fi stereo sound in which SE Phones are known

    They are in the same category for comparison

     

    In terms of overall use and functionality N80 waylays K800i (winning even in video capture)

     

    The K800i only wins in terms of camera, battery life, sound output and aesthetics

     

    N80 walks.. while K800i runs by a mile... :)

    For me, i suggest you take the Yamaha...tried and tested

     

    For electrics...newbies are better off with Fender Strat Standard or you may opt for the Fender Strat Squier Series (much cheaper), A Washburn is also a good choice

     

    daxxxtrip: Need more advice if you don't mind. I was at Mega Mall today, so I was able to check out JB, Yamaha, Perfect Pitch and some of the locals on the upper floors. I saw the Applause for a bit over P8K. Are there different versions of the Applause? Also, I see other brands such as Yamaha, Fernando, Rockster, Maestro to name a few within the same price range, give or take a few thousand pesos. Quality wise, would the Applause be a better choice? Also, I plan on taking this back to the states where 110 electricity is the norm. Would this be a problem as most things here are 220.

     

    With regards to electric guitars, I saw a Washburn at the Yamaha store for about P11K. I've read that that's an ok brand and I believe I was looking at a Fender Strat version. You opinion? or should I look elsewhere?

     

    Some dude on the upper floors selling from the middle was pushing Don_Jon guitars. He said it was a choice of the local bands. True??? He said his was an Ovation copy and he sold them for about P1400.

    Boat shoes galore!! :boo: i had Sperry, Docksides, Speedy Duck, Timberland and even Swatch tops :lol:

     

    I also had Bass Penny loafers that time

     

    Preppy style nung 80s.

     

    Bass penny loafers. Naglalagay talaga ng pennies. Matched with argyle socks. If couldn't afford the Bass then Haruta. Pwede na rin.

     

    Aside from the sneakers and topsiders, I also liked the suede shoes or gamusa na Hush Puppies or Bally which I bought at Keri-Ol in Ali Mall. I still have my Original Hush Puppies from college.

    This is Spidey? awww...Tony Stark should have incorporated on Repulsor Rays on his webshooters, armor or a Unibeam on the Spider emblem :lol:

     

    Marvel civil war rocks...........i'm not biased but it seems that the guys at marvel surely has hit sky rocket high this time.....make mine marvel.....and by the way have you guys check out spiderman's new suit? i've attached it......looking at its color you might get the idea from whom he've got the suit from.......uhm.....it was given by Tony Stark aka Iron Man....red yellow......don't know how you guys think about it, i love the new design, though nothing beats the old red and blue one but this new one still kicks ass..........

    eto na lang bro....k*ll Batman and just imagine the consequences :lol:

     

    ^^ Infinite Crisis was dubbed as an earth shattering storyline.. But it fizzled out in the end.. Like I said, "52 Weeks is out.. I just hope that the writers dont f#&k it up.. (just like the much bally-hooed Infinite..)"

     

    Infinite did not lived to its expectations of really changing the DC Universe.. Flash was the one really who changed.. as can be seen in the storyline.. So, who would take the mantle of the Flash?  But it looks like Infinite is just a pre-lude for us to read the new Blue Beetle, Ion, and 52 Weeks, etc.  Para ngang Zero hour din ito eh.. or Secret Wars II at (as thirteen said) Infinite Gauntlet, War and Crusade..

     

    Although (for me) it was a good read.. but it lacked the earth-shattering stuff that the House Of M did to the Marvel Universe.. God, who cares if the Conner Kent is dead.. Superboy-clone?.. hehehe!!! Who cares if the old Superman died.. Kung sina Nightwing, Batman, Robin, etc. ang pinatay yun ang earth shattering.. Look at what Marvel did.. in the Avengers Disassembled storyline.. Yun ang earth shattering..

     

    Would still buy the 52 Weeks, just to complete my collection.. I just hope it lives up to its expectations..

     

    Marvel's Civil War seems to be a better read though.. I just hope that it won't be like the Onslaught series where it just fizzled out and readers just lost interest.. But the way Marvel is nowadays, it seems na maganda ang storyline nito..

    hmmm i wonder if Tony Stark fitted Spidey's new suit with Repulsor Rays and a Photon Cannon :lol:

     

    Peter Parker wears his new costume and can change into civvy's by just thinking about it.. The costume is much like the symbiote costume where it can be commanded to change to Spidey's liking and has symbiotic like powers (i.e., can have limbs when needed/commanded).. But actually its kinda robotic.. coz Stark made the costume as somewhat like a metal sheet..

     

    FYI.. Power Books is on sale.. All books yata.. Kaya damay yung mga graphic novels/compilations ng comics.. You might wanna check it out.. Saw some new Marvel Essentials there today..  :cool:
