shampooking
traffic at marcos highway antipolo-bound during rush hours is always heavy. however they fixed the u-turn right after it so the area before sta. lucia is free-flowing. guessing game --> i come from cainta going northbound so everyday i have to guess among these routes: new bridge from sm marikina to libis, marcos highway to anonas, and katipunan; what among these routes is least congested. it's always a guessing game, tsk, tsk... u-turn from philam in edsa northbound to north ave including trinoma entrance is always a freak area even on weekends. add to that the regular sales held by sm north and you will find yourself dumbfounded at the traffic jam horror. screamingums
southbound traffic towards alabang is not so good because of the construction going on. traffic is diverted through filinvest. most efficient way to deal with it is leave early. i have realized about 30% savings on fuel because of leaving for work earlier than usual. less stress while driving and faster travel time and more efficient fuel consumption. tspec
Traffic is everywhere..its immortal. PUV drivers is mostly to blame with their stupid driving habits, especially in the stretch of Pedro Gil street in Manila. They used to park & wait for their riders at d corner of Paz St. and Pedro Gil which causes the long lines of vehicles reaching San Marcelino St. which is a few blocks from Taft Ave. Imagine the long wait, wasted man hours & burned unproductively expensive fuels. Try to avoid this area when ur going to Sta. Ana or Makati. Quote Link to comment

lomex32
Osmeña Highway bridges' rehabilitation starts Tuesday By Margaux OrtizInquirerLast updated 10:26pm (Mla time) 11/05/2007 MANILA, Philippines – Two bridges on President Sergio Osmeña Highway (formerly South Super Highway) in Manila will undergo rehabilitation beginning Tuesday. Josefino Rigor, Department of Public Works and Highways regional director, said the Estero de Paco Bridge and Estero Tripa de Gallina Bridge were in need of repairs and upgrading to improve their loading capacity. "These bridges have been in existence for some decades now and have considerably weakened due to years of usage," Rigor said. He added: "Considering that both bridges are only 300 meters apart, we believe it would be in the best interest of the public if the projects would be implemented simultaneously." Rigor said both projects would be undertaken by Northern Builders with a contract duration of 90 days each. According to the DPWH official, the northbound stretch of Osmeña Highway from San Andres to Quirino Avenue intersections would be closed to traffic during the entire construction period. Southbound vehicles will be restricted to two lanes of the highway's four-lane southbound stretch. Northbound vehicles can use the remaining two other lanes. DPWH officials asked the public for their cooperation and patience as they promised to speed up the repair and upgrading of the two bridges. Quote Link to comment
