Since you mentioned that you have 2 pairs, I would recommend playing in them. Sayang naman kung hindi mo ipanglalaro... the XIV's are one of the kicks i love playing with... some would say na sayang ang value kapag ginamit mo na... pero for me, if I bought a basketball shoe, I'd use it for its purpose... Share ko lang mga tol. If you wanna keep it for your collection, fine... but if you're an avid baller, you should play using AJ XIV's.

 

On a side note... one of the best pa din anf AJ11.

if i bought a basketball shoes i make sure i will use it for that purpose...that is by playing basketball...i don't care how expensive is the shoes basta gagamitin ko sya pang laro...pero syempre pipiliin ko naman yung lalaruan ko...pareho lang tayo na mabilis makasira ng sapatos kaya i know the feeling...pero di ba mas masarap yung feeling na ikaw yung pinapanood sa loob ng court kasi ASTIG yung sapatos mo :cool:

Magsisi kayo pag hindi nyo ginamit yan pang basketball. Meron ako Flighposite ilan beses ko lang ginamit pero nasira pa din dahil nakatambak lng.

Makikisali po...pareho lang tayo ng iniisip, sir. Meron akong mga sapatos na pang-streetball tapos meron din pang-tabla or indoors lang dahil baka madaling masira. Rotation basis na lang ang ginagawa ko.

Yan din yung kaso ko tol... ang lakas kumain ng sapatos ang paa ko... pero nabanngit mo that you 2 sets of AJXIV's, y not keep the more expensive one or the one that's used the least...

 

Tama din sila bro, magamit and maexperience mo gamitin ang shoes na nagkakandarapa ang mga tao... not because of the price tag (madaming expensive jan na panget ang feel), but the technology... pde naman eh...

 

Sabi nga nung editor nung KICKS (published by SLAM), parang don't waste the oppurtunity to use a shoe because of it's resale value...

 

Hind rin sa kinokontra kita bro, 2 kasi sa sapatos ko b4 hindi ko ginamit... AJ11 na black at SHAQNOSIS... aun... nasayang ng hindi ko napakinabangan. pero if you wanna keep the kicks for your kids and your soon to be grandkids in the future could see... go ahead. friendly advice lang ang mabibigay namen.

as for me, i buy basketball shoes just for the sole purpose of playing ball with it. hindi ko ginagamit na pamorma kse nabibigatan ako. what matters to me is that maganda ang fit and cushioning para comfortable ang feet and knees ko. marami na akong napudpod na shoes and kapag sobrang pudpod na, pinamimigay ko na sa iba. kaya usually i just have three to four pairs at a time.

 

lumabas na ung shoes ni duncan... 14,995 cya. pinagiisipan ko pa kung bibilhin ko or not. kabibili ko lang kse ng bagong shoes.

my suggestion is, if youre gonna keep youre shoes deadstock, keep it in a cool dry place. it'll make the shoe last much longer. here in the us, shoe collectors keep their shoes in a temperature controlled room. kalaban kasi ng rubber compound ng sole ng rubbershoes is moisture, brought about by being exposed to hot air, mahirap kasi sa atin dahil humid. what others would also do is put it in large ziploc bags, then use a vacuum cleaner to suck the air out. it really prolongs the life of the shoe. as far as using them, its up to you. if i were you, i'll keep the last shots (black/red) 14s deadstock, as it has a sentimental value as far as mj is concerned. thats what i try to do, if i have multiple pairs, like nung huarache 2k5, i have the limited all-star of kobe as well as the black/grey colorway that i bought on sale. i kept the all star one and used the black/grey one.

Sa akin naman nung Una lumabas yung Jordan 11 especially yung Black Colorway Gandang Ganda ako. Napanuod ko pa yun na suot ni Jordan. Ito yung 2nd coming nya.

Ang Napormahan lang ako kaso sa mga latest na Jordan yung Team Jordan pa na line. Yung Jordan B'Tru(Parang Jordan 11) ang ganda. Sadly wala yung colorway na gusto ko na dumating sa Pinas.

Uso ang retro sneakers ngayon (old school - e.g, Addidas superstar, the AF1 line, etc.) .. And because the Jordans since his return (esp 17 to the present) have mostly out of this world designs.. Hindi talaga mabebenta ito masyado dahil mainly (sa karamihan ng kakilala ko) ginagamit pamporma ang Jordans.. So importante din ang itsura hindi lang performance.. Sa akin importante yung style and I did not like the 17 onwards.. so I did not buy them..

 

At kahit naman yung ibang Jordan retros ay out of this world ang designs eh.. Like the 6,7,8 and 15.. Pangit ipamporma.. So, I think that the jumpman logo does help in selling them but they won't really wreak havoc on sales records because they do not really look good.. So I agree, kung pangit ang designs.. kahit sa anong brand lalangawin..

 

But Nike would not continue making new Jordans kung kahit papaano ay hindi ito nabebenta.. Isa lang ang ibig sabihin nito.. the Jordan line/jumpman line does sell.. Kahit pangit ang designs nabebenta kahit papaano.. Bakit kaya? Isang tanong, isang sagot.. MICHAEL JORDAN!!! Nuff said..

 

Nga pala, I like the 3, 4, 5, 11, 13, 14 and 16 only.. I currently have the 11 (low cut), 13 (low cut), 14 (last shot) and 16 (green colorway).. Kasi yung iba (i.e., 1, 2, 7, 9, 10, 15, 17-21) kahit meron ako nakita hindi ko talaga binili..

Uy preng Revs kamusta? I concur. Mejo acquired taste ung 12 pataas. Ung 14 for sentimental reasons(lalo na ung red/black colorway) na suot ni MJ sa last championship, ang kung may poster kayo nung last shot niya sa Utah eh nasa want list ko pa din. Swerte mo sa riverbanks dreng Revs.

 

Ako naman I collect for sentimental reasons. We didn't have much then when I was young and buying a 1k shoes back then was simply unheard of. Pinapalo pa nga ako ng parents ko pag-iniiyakan ko ung air pegasus(eto yata pinakamura na may air sole nun). Inggit na inggit ako sa mga conyo kids nun. Kaya eto mejo guminhawa, nakakapag tabi na ng mga things na na-miss out ko nung pagkabata ko. Misis ko na lang pumapalo sa kin pag bumibili ako ng "sale." Hehehe.

OT: May nadiskubre na naman ako sa Australia. Nagbebenta pala mga warehouses dito ng samples(sa tin ung mga pang display lang tawag) ng Nike at 30$, roughly 1,200.00 petot. Mejo madumi lang kaunti. Tsambahan lang sa size. I just copped a 30$ ZOOM KB and a LBJ 3. Pinakita ko resibo kay misis para di mapalo. Tsaka di gaanung nakaka-gulity pang laro. hehehe.
