daisycutter
BM, nung 70s ala pang pick-up sa Ayala di ba? Eh bakit ka nagstro-stroll? Stroll nuon sa Luneta lang. Mamimili ka Rustan's? Haha. Quote Link to comment
sally bogna mathay
sayang ah! pero I don't think your night was wasted, pare...any feedback on how the concert was? Any "talk on the streets"?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> well, there's one review saying the concert's highlight was the trumpet solo that preceeded hotel california, which turned out to be anti-climactic, since several hits had already been played (new kid in town, heartache tonight, etc...) a canadian guy i know who was fortunate enough to watch it said he felt (and so did every other foreigner who knows the eagles) goosebumps when desperado was sung (hay, nakining tuloy ako ng eagles tape ko ng di oras)...another review said there were several instances when the voices were unable to reach the high notes (not surprising, considering that these guys, the founders in particular, are in their late 50s...overall, the concert was a smash...my thai officemates are only now discovering the eagles (can you believe that?) and other 70s rock groups...sa bagay, they are like 15-20 years younger than me...brought a jimi hendrix (are you experienced) cd last night to my desk and cranked up the volume...they were shocked, they did not know who he was...so here i am pare, preaching the mantra of rock and roll, and constantly reminding them that there is a whole different world of music to be discovered...and that they should step beyond the confines of the one they're in now (read: beyonce, britney and these interchangeable boy-bands) Quote Link to comment

No. 1 yung Revolver ng Beatles.. I shouldn't consider that as anti-climactic - that trumpet solo was another novel intro to Hotel....mas maganda sana kung kinunan uli ito ng video para mapanood natin... Quote Link to comment

storm
Aminado akong burgis noon. We call ourselves the SBs (Society Boys). Laman ng mga typar kahit saan mang lupalop ang lugar. Laman ng Wherelse sa hatinggabi hanggang madaling araw. Quote Link to comment
daisycutter
Pare, parang ilang taon ko na huling narinig yang "typar"!!!! We were a lot behaved in parties then, like 20 pesos each would have been enough contribution. And the burgis never mingled with the bakya, it is as if we were in two different worlds. Different music, tv shows, movies, everything. Teka, another world disco in Makati nga pala. Quote Link to comment
blackmamba
favorite ding mag-stroll sa Magallanes, tapos kain sa South supermarket Automat... Quote Link to comment
storm
Teritoryo namin noon ang Wherelse kasi magaling kaming mag-New York hustle or 'swing' according sa mga naga-ballroom. We practice muna sa poolside. We never pay the P 20. cover charge. Quote Link to comment
