sidiyo,

Ok ba bumili ng laptop na hinde kilala ung brand just so makatipid?

But syempre, most often than not the brand increases the price of the laptop drastically kasi ul be paying for the name

Coz diba if u band a laptop with a not so popular brand, you could get it with better specs, better memory etc..

The only problem with non-branded notebooks, is the post support, what happen if there is a problem with the motherboard, hdd and need to be replaced, they can't replace it immediately they need to order it to the supplier/maker and might take a long time to get a replacement, unlike branded they have a rep*tation, they have a call center and service center to approach for repair. This not the same as desktops.

need your thoughts please:

i have a female friend who is married to an abusive husband - not so much physically but mostly verbally and mentally abusive. she suspects that he is cheating on her because of his many "late nights at the office" but she has no proof. they no longer become intimate and she just feels more like a roomate instead of a wife. they have a 5 year old daughter.

she has long wanted to get an annullment but she is financially dependent on him. he ownes the house they live in and makes all the money. all their assets are under his name and he refuses to include her in the ownership. she wants to go back to college and finish her education, but he wont support her financially. sometimes he wont even pay for her necessary medical and dental checkups.

questions:

what are her options to be able to get out of this relationship?

how can she even afford a lawyer? she has no money.

what is her right to their conjugal properties? and how can she enforce that if her name is not on the titles?

if and when she separates from him, can she and her daughter expect some kind of support from her husband? food, shelter or clothing?

naaawa talaga ako sa kalagayan niya. tinitiis nya yung situation nya kasi wala syang choice. hope you guys can give some advice.

Let me try to help.

1. Options - to get out of the relationship is not necessarily legal. To get of the marriage, there is annulment (the extreme) or legal separation. Both have to have grounds. Too many to explain here. Best is to get legal separation first. On proof of infidelity, the wife can file for legal separation. In such proceeding, the wife can legally demand support since it is the husband who is working.

2. Lawyer - by putting the cart before the horse, it will be difficult to hire a lawyer when there is a proclamation of "no money". Best to do is to to the IBP Main office in Ortigas center and ask for free lawyers. I am sure there will be at least one that will go pro-bono. But you get what you pay for.

3. Properties - if married after 1988 and without a pre-nuptial agreement, the wife is entitled to half of ALL properties. Even those owned by the husband prior to the marriage. This is called regime of community property. It doesn't matter if her name is not on any titles.

4. Support - by filing the case of legal separation (there must be valid grounds), support is mandated. There can even be support while the case for legal separation is pending.

All these are just simple advice. You must not rely on the above solely. The wife must really consult a lawyer. As for now, gather all evidence of infidelity. It doesn't have to be solid. Check at the other grounds as well.

Hope that helps.

Hi guys!

About computer hardware naman ang question ko.

can anyone give info regarding IR ports?

I have no idea on this hardware kasi.

I have a nokia 6600 cp and im gonna use the IR port for my pictures, ringtones, themes, etc.

is having any IR port compatible with nokia cp?

how much is this gonna cost?

Isasaksak ba ito sa USB port?

thanks in advance.

dude, i'm suggesting na just to get the bluetooth dongle, coz it works with less hassle and it also comes with it's own installer already, it would be more easier for you to transfer files from your phone to your pc or vice versa, and besides it's a plug and play device in to your USB port, and easily detected by windows XP. good luck bro!

I bought a couple of Original games for the PC... as usual you'll have to leave the CD inside the bay to be able to enjoy it...  Do you guys have any ideas on how I could enjoy the games without having the CD?

use a virtual CD program and create images of your game CD. the program essentially tricks your OS in to thinking you have an additional CD ROM drive mounted in your PC, and that Drive contain all your game CDs. Highly recommended if you want to extend the life of your CD Roms discs.

Don't forget that it also extends the life of your CDROM/DVDROM DRIVES!!!

Btw, if the game is protected using Securom v4.5 and above, the virtual CDs may not work after you patch your game to a higher version so be warned... :headsetsmiley:

Try Alcohol 120%, can't remember the latest version since updates are quite regular. the program is pretty small, and you can rip nearly all CD/DVDs into images. BTW, this isn't free. You can look for cracks at www.astalavista.com or download the program with a crack on mininova.org.

Actually, buying branded notebooks does not guaranteee headache-free service. The HP laptops used at my office developed problems with their harddisk and RAM, and it took nearly 2 weeks for the techs to diagnose and repair the problems. Most of the time was spent waiting for the appropriate parts because they had none on stock. Apple took more than 2 months to repair my other boss's powerbook because they had to order the replacement battery from the US. My advice is to buy the notebook (whether branded/unbranded) from a dependable store who can fix the notebook themselves. That way, its a more personal service, and you can pressure them to work faster.

sidiyo,

nope hindi mag-appear ang name mo sa nbi.  however, for sure blacklisted ka sa CIBI-credit investigation bureau inc. affected ang financial standing mo. in the future, pag gusto mo kumuha ng ibang credit card o gusto mo mangutang sa bangko or financial institutions, lalabas yn hindi mo pagbabayad sa iyong card. dahil dito, maari ma-deny yn application mo ng card o loan.

my suggestion, settle your credit card obligation. meron naman sila payment scheme para di ka mahirapan.

actually i have the same problem.... i was 17 yrs old when my dad gave me an extension card ... unfortunately arter a year my dads business have a problem and we have a hardtime paying the bills for credit card. it took my dad 3 yrs to settle the whole balance. now i cant get my credit card even though im just a suplementary car bearer at that time and now i im earning more the the required annual income. cant even open a aving acnt in bpi bank. too bad.

In addition to what Roubaix said, I'd say that she should gather evidence to prove her husband's infidelity giving her the option to hit him with a criminal concubinage or a bigamy case as the facts warrant. I've worked with these cases before in Congress asking our office for legal advice. I must ask you to warn your friend though, this kind of criminal case might end up with her husband behind bars. Some complainants don't want that as the husband can no longer work and thus support the family. Some others would want the husband behind bars so they wouldn't be abused anymore. It's up to her if she wants to go in that direction.

Legal separation might be more applicable in your friend's case as infidelity seems to be present here.

I-warn mo lang din ang friend mo na under the law, kahit magdeclare ang court ng legal separation, she is still considered married to her husband although they are allowed to live separately.

Roubaix is right. Ask her to consult with a lawyer at the IBP. Yung mga indigent na kaso namin dati usually sa PAO namin i-rerefer. And as Roubaix said, warn your friend that she gets what she pays for.

first of all, thanks to all of you who replied.

however, i have another question. if she indeed gets legal separation and she moves out, she will suddenly incur numerous expenses. aside from the everyday gastos, she will have to pay for an apartment, a yaya, school, etc. even after getting a job, she will still need some sustenance at least until she becomes self supporting. without this support, she will probably end up crawling back to her husband. so my query is this : realistically, what kind of support can she expect to get from him? and for how long?

Or use a keygen...like what I use to activate it artificially... :D

I agree but if my memory serves me correctly(and please correct me if I am wrong :hypocritesmiley: ...), this is all about to change since Intel is trying to standardize protocols regarding notebook hardware interconnectivity especially for generic notebooks. :headsetsmiley:

boy popoy,

if your friend needs speedy relief, then tell her to get a lawyer and consider filing a "Petition for Issuance of Permanent Protective Order" pursuant to RA 9282 (if Im not mistaken), otherwise known as the "Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act". There is a provision there allowing an initial ex-parte hearing which will be the basis for the issuance of a temporary protective order (TPO). Before the husband even receives a copy of the summons and the petition, meron na agad TPO which may include an order, among others, directing the husband to provide monetary support to the wife and/or to stay away from the wife/children etc. This was the same petition filed by the wife of Ramon "El Presidente" Fernandez. Before El Presidente knew about the petition, there was already an order directing him to support his wife to the tune of P350,000 a month ata. Ha ha, ang laki no? at ang bilis. I should know, my client has also been "victimized" by this law, haha. And the effectivity of the TPO can be extended until the court's issuance of a Permanent Protective Order.
