But if your gearing up to have a pc that could do the job even better dont settle for anything less ( no offense meant but I still think an Intel processor is still the way to go when it comes to desktop computing power). One thing I know that can match up or even put it a notch higher is a Mac unit but thats an entirely different thing. Getting your dream PC is not a thing to be taken lightly, think things through before deciding consider all the factors even after sales issues before letting go of that hard earned moolah. Cheers and gospeed i am an amd zealot(the way their processors perform for the price... it rocks!!! :cool: ) not because im an idiot but becoz of my reasons. ok lets go to computing power... can you give me an intel processor that can beat an AMD 2500+ Barton processor? easy - get a P4 2.4GHz HT. nice. how much? P9.5K - very nice. my Barton? P5K - what the hell? thats just the price of a P4 compatible mobo? but mind you, an AMD processor is not for the faint of heart. you should have better cooling solution and good friends to spend with ur extra cash : ) Quote Link to comment

Since nagiging popular na yung Linux as the alternative OS pangtapat sa expensive MS, then AMD is also gaining grounds as well.It breaks the Wintel conspiracy. Maybe I will try AMD one of these days. Anyways, anybody here knows where i can find a good cooling system for PCs here in manila? I have clocked up my processor from 3.2GHz to 3.8GHz. Now when it is running at maximum core speed it is warning me up that the system is above the normal operating and is automatically shutdown after a few minutes even my cooling system is on -3 degrees cooling temp already.... help...
