Quick time was mac based but is pretty much in the market now for all but real players is theone that is most often used. quick time has smaller video files but not that great clarity ( well since viewing movies in the web really gives much to detail). both are easy to install but my preference is quicktime since real player is more internet prominent. (I don't like the fact that it always searches the web when i just want to watch those downloaded porn videos :P )

simplefied go for the real player, its easier.

I actually had almost the same problem with my computer hanging whnever i am online or playing games, i swapped everything with known good equipment but the problem was still there. after months of frustration and angst my friend suggested i get a shim. Since i use an athlon xp he said that the heat buildup aften causes problems that appear to be mem or os. (oh the countless debug, fdisk, format reinstall) \it actually lessened my shutdowns and hangs, now i've got a better cooling system for computer and its working fine. This is a problem if you are using amd, intels don't really encounter that problem much.

hope this helps

y? nago-overclock ka ba kaya ur having cpu heat problems w/ ur AMD chip?

or maybe u bought an overclocked CPU. well, before maraming ganun raket, ewan ko lang ngayon.....teka, lately pala me napanood ako sa news about mga comp stores sa ghills charged w/ selling overclocked CPU daw (i.e. XP 1700+ oc'd to 2100+ selling it at 2100+ price).....

pero I saw na under unvestigation pa lang ito ha....I'm not saying na na prove na ng authorities.

in any case, u can just ask or browse the entire thread for tips on what to look for in buying comps.

jepjep: Kalikot sa BIOS (not recommended unless you know what your doing), streamline bootup (mga nasa autoexec.bat at config.sys na di kailangan), streamline progam load (iwas load ng mga TSR na di kailangan).

Pwede ring gawin mong boot disk smallest HDD (yung kasya OS plus disk memory plus extra free space) para mabilis read/write. The rest (applications) install mo sa ibang hard disk with its own cable (secondary IDE mo ilagay) para walang kahati ang main disk mo with data transfer to mboard.

lang with 256ram.. aside from defrag anu pa?

1. First things first, perform a clean installation of Windows. This is one of the best ways to speed up your PC. However, this might not be practical.

2. Install the correct and/or latest drivers for your motherboard, video, sound, etc.

3. Install only the programs that you really need. Other programs that run in the background tend to slow down your PC.

4. Optimize the size of your Windows swap file. Go to Google and type the words "optimize windows swap file". That should give you some very helpful links.

5. When browsing Web sites on the Internet, be careful of the various spyware that may be installed. Examples of these would be Gator, Xupiter etc. To combat these, I suggest using Spybot.

6. Install a personal firewall. Try ZoneAlarm.

7. Install an antivirus program. You can either use the free antivirus program that comes with your motherboard (if you have it) or use AVG 6.0 Free Edition.

There are still other tips but those are all I can think of for now. Try Googling for them.

Pero kung kelangan mo talaga 3, as I said nasa pag-gamit mo na yan.

Question naman mga computer pros:

Some sites that play videos require either realplayer and quicktime, which I don't have.

1) Which of them uses a smaller video file?

2) Which has a better picture and sound quality?

3) How do I install them? Which is easier to install?

Thanks and I hope you guys can help me here

Pards,

First of all, Realplayer uses a smaller file because of its video compression engine however avi has a better picture and sound quality but realplayer files can be much better depending on the compression ratio used (the less compressed the original file the better the quality). Well both are easy to install but I would suggest you install both since you do not know what the sites are playing just to make sure to cut down on download time. Oh, by the way if you are using Windows Media Player 8 or higher you probably would not need quicktime since this can be handle by WMP.

Hope this helps. Chow B)

Just tell us what happened afterwards. If it's not your RAM, it may be your power supply.

Will do, bootable cd image ang nadownload ko (tama ba yun) burn ko then gawin ko ... post ko results as soon as magawa ko ... kung power supply sa generic 702 casing (yung max x sa gillid) kasi yun galing i guess between 300-400 watts yun ... tingnan naten

It then lists the results and offers to remove or quarantine the components. The program detects a wide range of adware/spyware related issues and can be updated with the latest signatures via the built-in update utility. Editors note: You should fully read the included documentation before removing any files! We are constantly receiving emails from people that deleted all kinds of things and have created a big mess. PestPatrol

http://www.pestpatrol.com/

PestPatrol is a powerful security and personal privacy tool that detects and eliminates destructive pests like trojans, spyware, adware and hacker tools. It complements your anti-virus and firewall software, extending your protection against non-viral malicious software that can evade your existing security and invade your personal privacy.

These pests often lurk silently on your computer until something – or someone – sets them off. When that happens, you could lose passwords, personal data, credit card numbers, and - if you telecommute and connect to your office via a VPN - open up a back door for the hacker into your entire company network.

My questions;

Hello there,

–I’m an American citizen (born in San Francisco / 26 y/o) and planning on purchasing, (owning a property in Manila) how much sg. ft. am I allowed?

--What ( How much) is the penalty if I go over the limit?

I’m really appreciated whatever information you can provide.  BTW, I’m paying my tax in Manila (property tax) yearly.

Thanks.

As an American citizen, I would have to know how you acquired it. If you were naturalized, you can still own real estate. It is not a matter of square feet but sq. meters. It is a substantial amount not limited to a house a lot.

But since you are born in SFO, where I am right now for the next 24 hours, were your parents still Filipinos at the time of your birth? If so, you can play for the PBA (just kidding). If they were, you can qualify for recognition as a natural born filipino citizen. The Constitution provides that any person whom at the time of their birth regardless of where they were born has a father or mother that is a filipino citizen, that person is considered a filipino citizen. It is a lengthy process with the DOJ but if you get it, you may own up to 5 hectares just like all of us whose parents decided not to migrant to the U.S.

There is no penalty or fine of owning more than what is allowed. You will just be forced to sell it.

Hope that helps.

<_<

Okay, thanks, really appreciate.

My parents are both an American citizen (by born), therefore the solution is to sell exceeding property, right? What if selling the possession is out of the question or let say that’s the last thing I’m going to do. Are there any alternatives/options to suffice my problem?

What if I just inherit it from my grandparents/parents, does this circumstances helps, and ohhhh my grandparents are Filipino Citizen, so, what are the odds?

Thank you very much, I know I owe you one, do you accept credit card? –j/k

thanks again,

Kathleen Jessica

PS

Don’t play and don’t like basketball, shopping is my game . . .

Jessie,

Sorry for the very late response. I was out of town for the last two weeks.

If your parents were Americans by birth, you no longer can be considered a Natural born citizen. And you are neither a naturalized american citizen either. You may inherit some property though because the person transmitting the property is a Filipino citizen. But it is quite hard for you to inherit from your grandmother as your parents are first in line along with their brothers and sisters. You stand in the place of you parent when it comes to inheriting if that parents gives up the inheritance.

Since you are an American citizen (2nd generation), you will not be entitled to have real property in your name. You can not buy property. You may only inherit intestate (no will) if there is any left for you.

For services, I may accept payment in kind. ;) ;) ;) .

Roubaix

Thank you very much for the info., and I really appreciate, sorry for the delayed reply. Kinda busy here finishing my vacation in the Phil. Is. , anyway thanks again, utang po yung for the payment.

hey got prob here.. HOW CAN I CONVERT MY .DOCS TO .PDF?

A word of advice before posting ... DON'T MAKE YOUR REQUEST SOUND LIKE A DEMAND! We are doing this because we want to help. We are not required, nor are we paid, to do so!!!

That aside, the advice about using Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader) is correct. However, if you want a free converter (not a p*d one), you can use Ghostscript, GSView, and RedMon. They're all available here..

You can either:

1. Install all three

or

2. Install just Ghostscript, GSView, and a Postscript printer driver into your PC. Have the printer print to a file. The file (which contains PostScript commands) can then be converted by Ghostscript into a PDF document.

HTH.
