Thank you, Life, for all the heartbreaks you've given me. I may have been hurt a few times, but I've gained a deeper appreciation of my humanity. Most importantly, I know it will be worth all the pain I've endured when I finally meet The One. She will be Mother Earth made flesh, a singular force so strong, she will change my life forever.

I am thankful for these and much more besides:

 

• Health
• Calm focus amidst the whirlwinds of bullshittery spinning around in the workplace
• Laughter and company of friends
• Smile of someone who makes your heart beat loud, reminding me that I am still alive
• Determination, persistence, and grit to overcome whatever bump gets in my way of a smooth ride
• People who drift on to my shore and are found unexpectedly like simple treasures, a starfish or an intricate seashell surfacing on a low tide

There are many days that seems so dark and hopeless. But when I take a closer look, I see and hear about these amazing stories of 'overcomers' that bring hope.

 

What you went through may sound so terrible and evil to you. But others see it as something inspiring and life changing. You are incredible and your story has changed a life, can change more lives.

 

But it's not over until your last breath. Wait for more stories to unfold. Thank you for sharing your life. You've helped a lot of us become what we are capable of being.
